"First time visiting The Crown at Ampney Brook, drawn in by the location and the style based on the images from the web site. The looks and feel was amazing, unfortunately things started to unravel quickly. There was a wedding on, which we suspected when we really struggled to park, but got parked eventually. Experience tells me we should have just left, but the pictures from inside looked fantastic. We decided to go and have lunch, accepting that the service was going to be impacted. We sat down with the menus we’d been handed and there was some nice sounding found on offer. We waited and waited to give our order, we finally ordered food and then had to ask the waiter to take our drink order as they didn’t bother. We then waited and waited and waited. Eventually some water turned up. We sat chatting and had drank most of the bottle of water when our drinks turned up. After another long wait and several trips to the bathroom, our food turned up. I had ordered Venison cottage pie and my wife had order Chicken Club sandwich. The cottage pie was tasty to be fair, but had hardly any potato on top, which was disappointing, it also came with charred cabbage, which was really nice and added to the dish. The chicken club sandwich came on brioche bread, which completely took over the taste of the sandwich. This too was disappointing. Eventually our plates were cleared and eventually we we asked if we wanted pudding. We had by this pointed accepted that our lunch outting was going to take much longer than expected, we were in for the long haul. Our puddings of Chaux for my wife and sticky toffee pudding finally turned up.and they were fantastic, worth a wait but not as long as we’d had to wait. If the pudding hadn’t of been so good, I would have given 1 star overall, especially given the cost plus there was a 12.5% service charge added, which TBH, I hadn’t noticed until after we’d left I would suggest, if you are going to visit The Crown, go when there’s no wedding on and the car park is empty. My suggestion to The Crown (if they read this), don’t accept table reservations, as you can’t cope with the additional orders. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £70–80 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Free parking lot"

"This place is a hidden gem! Food to rival any top notch Cheltenham restaurant; beautiful presented and served by lovely staff. The setting is glorious, with beautiful views of Cheltenham a short walk away. Thanks, Kirsty and team for the walkers' Christmas lunch yesterday, it was memorable and really kicked off the festivities for us."

"in cirencester for a few days, the krone was one of the first pubs we visited with friends and a few dogs, very friendly welcome, dogs where offered their own water bowls and cookies, the place so much we stayed for eating and revisited over a few days. the managerin even found us a taxi that would bring us back to the campsite with the dogs. I can recommend a visit to the krone"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time today. The waffles and milkshakes were delicious, and they had a great selection for children, with lots of books to keep them entertained. Definitely a great spot for families."

"The food we had in this Cafe was certainly not up to the high quality standard that we thought Hoburne would be. The omelette was cold and dry after a long wait for it to arrive, and the so called parmentier potatoes were just pieces of plain deep fried potato, no seasoning at all, and the fish and chips we had, plus other cooked breakfast purchased during the week we were there, was equally as bad and of poor quality, not happy!"

"I recently ordered a takeout dinner from this restaurant and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The price per person was very affordable, ranging from £1-10. The food was exceptional, I would rate it a 5 out of 5. The service was also top-notch, I would give it a 5 as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant, even though I only experienced it through takeout, was also a 5. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Shish and Lamb Shish dishes, they were particularly delicious."

"We were shown to a table and then ignored so we decided to order online. We then waited some time for our starters. When the starters arrived I mentioned that we still had no drinks. We finished our starters and when the plates were cleared I again asked for our drinks. These did eventually arrive and were removed from the bill. During the long wait for our main course a member of staff asked if we wanted to order anything else not realising we were still waiting for our main. Whilst we were there a couple were sat at a table and given menus but walked out without ordering. Another group had to go and find a member of staff to take their order. The food was very average and overpriced for what it was and the decor very tired. AVOID!"

"Visited the Ebrington Arms many years ago and was impressed. I'm please to report nothing has changed. It's a charming pub in the Cotswolds that serves great food but it still a pub, with a welcoming pub atmosphere and good beer. They also accommodated my son's food allergies with no fuss something that often makes eating out as a family problematic. Highly recommended."

"Within easy reach of Cirencester, Cheltenham Gloucester, well worth the trip out into the nearby countryside. We arrived around 5pm pretty much had the place to ourselves. Staff where all friendly got.seated quickly. The food where good portions my mixed grill was well cooked, the meal was steak red wine pie. Followed up by a Eton mess a mini pudding with coffee. The pub has loads of history, lots of snug areas a real.wood burner in the bar area, so great.on a cold day they're dog friendly. Outside there are different seating areas to the front rear, with a kids play area to.the rear. Also plenty of off road parking. Would recommend they also dona 2/3 course meal Tuesday to Thursday after 4pm, which is a selection of courses fron the main menu great value for money."

"My husband and I visited the Snug bar last night with the intention of having a meal to celebrate his birthday. Upon arrival we checked with a lovely young girl behind the bar that they were dog friendly as we had our labradorJasper with us) she confirmed tthat he was fine to cone in. We sat close to the lovely fire ordered a drink and sat down to have a look at the menu thinking we had found the perfect place to relax enjoy the evening. How wrong we were....after a short while a waiter with a scottish accent) approached our table and made a huge fuss about how Jasper was laid next to the table and how he couldn't get to us. He clearly wasn't a dog lover and made us feel most unwelcome with his rude comments and ridiculous hopping around tthe table, presumably in an attempt to make a point that Jasper was taking up some floor space close to the table. I should add that at the time there was only one other person in this part of the bar and Jasper was laid quietly and not blocking any gangway past the table We both work in the leisure industry in customer facing roles and recognised that this is NOT the way to make customers feel welcome. We felt most unwelcome and an inconvenience for daring to have a dog with us. They call themselves dog friendly but the comments and attitude of this particular staff member suggested otherwise! Sadly he managed to ruin what could have been a lovely birthday meal, we will not be returning and took our business to another hotel across the road that know how to treat all their customers!"

"It took over 20 minutes to get our coffees (two americanos) even though the cafe was virtually empty. When it finally arrived, one of the americanos had bizarrely been whipped into a six inch cup of foam with only a splash of liquid left at the bottom. We thought the waitress had brought the wrong drink. When we said it was wrong she answered “I don’t know, I’m not on the drinks” and just walked away. We decided to leave without ordering food and then she couldn’t work the card machine kept typing in the wrong amount and having to start the transaction over. Just generally hapless and poor service."

"They do know about coffee here and provide, of course, a personal service and an excellent cup. As one would hope for and seek, as difficult as such is to find, this coffee shop is suitably cosy and peaceful. The interior is clean and stylish, with mildly and inoffensively quirky decoration. Coffee is their primary art but I suggest also trying their homemade desserts."

"Terrible. We spent over 75 pounds and the food was TERRIBLE. Took forever (over an hour) to receive it and it was cold. The portions were tiny and frankly it did not taste like anything special. We had to remind them of various parts of our order over and over again, to get them to bring it. Things like tartar sauce, etc., We went there to celebrate some achievements in our family and to say goodbye to a family member that was flying home on Tuesday. It was a TERRIBLE experience, not worth a single pound, especially when it took over an hour to get cold, tasteless food. I will not be back; nor my family. We work too hard for our money to waste it on experiences like this. You guys can do so much better. Very disappointing."

"Dreadful experience. A bread roll with ham and salad cost £6.50. I 'd expect it to be a very good one for that price. (You pay extra for sitting inside too, despite having to collect your own cutlery too). The bread rolls were very dry and crumbly, the filling minimal and tasteless and no butter or margarine. Got a refund for the two rolls we purchased after complaining. The young lad who took the rolls away said to us that he 'd tell the manager they were 's*1* '. Charmed I 'm sure! Won 't be back. See the other reviews saying the same thing. Expensive and nasty."

"This was by far the best Sunday roast I have had for years. And in fact, all five of us in our party all said it was absolutely fantastic 4 of us had lamb and one had pork. All of us loved it. The portion size was huge and the chef accommodated one person in our group with a lactose intolerance amazingly. When we asked for more gravy, we didn’t get a tiny little jug like some places do…. it was a massive boatload of gravy. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and not soggy or over cooked. Highly recommend this place! Seriously we were so impressed and are talking about it even two days after the event. Keep up the great work well done."

"While in Moreton for work, I discovered that Raj Mahal was conveniently located near my hotel with a quick Google search. The staff guided me upstairs and despite being busy, I had the option to choose a table. I was promptly given a menu and placed my drink order. There was a slight delay (about 20 minutes) before my food order was taken, but the staff were apologetic as they were clearly busy serving other customers, making drinks, and taking phone orders. The menu offered a variety of delicious options at a reasonable price, and my food arrived hot and tasty. I definitely plan on returning as a customer! After my meal, I was provided with a complimentary hot towel and shot of spirits. The staff was attentive and friendly, and despite their suggestion not to leave a tip because of the delay in taking my food order, I felt that my overall experience deserved one. I highly recommend Raj Mahal for anyone looking for great food in the area."
