"very bad organisation, the service more than very long. the commands are made randomly and not in the order of arrival of the customers. At the end of 45 minutes waiting, still not a plate on the table even the aperitif yet ordered already for 20 minutes. The people behind us who arrived much later are already at the entrance. they lost 2 menus to 24€ plus the aperitif. It’s good now we’re leaving. Two people for a room of 28 covered still seems to me enough especially when we’re not complete. and no excuses"

"A wine maker in Sancerre had high accolades for this nice place. We moored the barge late morning and made reservations for lunch.. After a nice cold beer on the front terrace we were seated in the cool shade of the back of the restaurant. The back terrace is a delight on a hot day. As it was mid-week we were able to get a table but be warned that you will probably need reservations if you plan to visit during the weekend. the service was friendly and the menu offered an attractive choice of dishes. The escargots were very good and I had a chance to enjoy one of my favourite dishes: steak Rossini, in this case a lovely piece of Charolais beef cooked to perfection and topped by a couple of generous slices of grilled foie. My wife had the perch and reported it was excellent. We drank carafes of local roses and reds..good stuff and the price was right. The desserts are amazing and change daily... Creme brule and a wonderful floating island on our visit. The cheese cart had a very wide selection and it was fun to sample a few new things....This is a nice place and I can only imagine what a meal like this would cost in Paris.. certainly 3 times more than we happily paid here... Very very nice.. If you are boating on the canal this is a must place to stop.... Cross the " sky canal" and moor on the other side of the bridge.. The walk back is amazing ..looking DOWN at the Loire far below."

"We arrived by boat on a wet October Sunday and were delighted by this simple restaurant. The menus were interesting and the meals delicious. I particularly enjoyed the snail fricassee starter. Just two staff were serving quite a full restaurant and whilst they were helpful and charming, inevitably service was slow at times particularly when one was serving a table of nine from the excellent cheese trolley. Thoroughly enjoyable meal and such a shame I’m unlikely to pass by again."
