"2. Waren Ende April wieder dort. 2. Were there again at the end of April. Everything was right this time, so now, as promised, the 5th star. 1. Good restaurant with fair prices and good service. We went on the recommendation of friends after not wanting to go due to the many negative reviews. We booked a table over the phone and registered our dog at the same time. no problem The reception was friendly. The restaurant makes a good impression. The menu is balanced. We ordered fish soup first and as a main course the sailor's plate and the house plate with 4 fried fish. Everything very tasty. The service was courteous and quick. Unfortunately, we have to deduct a star because we found out at home that we were charged too much for 1x garlic sauce and a drink. If that doesn't happen next time, the 5th star will be added."

"On holiday you can sleep. For example, during our annual holiday in Cuxland it will be a tradition to visit the cafés of the region. Actually, our destination was the café “Toffoli” in the old town of Cuxhaven, but we had to find that this place was closed in winter. So we went back to the city centre, to the famous café “Da Dalto”. In the beautifully decorated “Da Dalto” there were some free tables. In a small corner bench there was also a little rough lady in front of us. “Because what was found?” – No, we haven’t even opened the map yet. So she wears back and shimmers through the café. The rich card is quickly leafed, and for us it is clear that it should be something fruity. Our group service noticed that we have finished our selection and have come to our place. “But now” was her first sentence. Jaaaa... now we have it after a few minutes. For example, a Café Crema was ordered for €2.80, a Latte Macciato for €2.80 and a chocolate milk with cream for €3.00. As an ice cup we wished two strawberry cups and an fruit cup. We didn't get that ass. We don't have fresh fruit, we could offer the fruit cup with bananas and kiwi at most. All ice cups with fresh fruit are not feasible. What the hell is that? In each supermarket there are fresh fruits and I'm sorry, over half the ice cream card consists of cups with fresh fruits. Then a winter card. So we had to look around, so we had to catch an ice cup “Banana Rustika” for 7.00 € and two “Black Forest Cups”. Bananas and cherries from the glass are available.... After a few minutes, the caffeine-containing drinks and the chocolate were for our little ones at the table, immediately followed by the ice cups. The latte was a stirred milk coffee, the drinking chocolate tasted very watery. The Café Crema was so ok, I was a bit disappointed by the size of the cup. The “Banana Rustika” for our little one was quite large with three different iceballs a ball bonus for the omitted egg liqueur, abundant cream and a very ripe banana in my eyes. Our Black Forest Cup was filled with cherry ice cream, chocolate and vanilla ice cream, few cherries from the glass with fresh cream and a little cherry sauce. The ice itself was quite good, after the curtain it is made in the café itself. Guest rooms and toilets were clean, but there is a fee of € 1.00 for use in toilets that can be calculated on invoice. In the conservatory can be smoked, but this interferes in the restaurant, as the service goes permanently into the conservatory, and every time a neat smoke cloud with purewabbert. Conclusion: We were still very satisfied with our last visit 3 years ago, this was the last visit to the “Da Dalto” for the next years. Unfriendly operation, only half of the map available. The dishes and drinks were not so stupid. Here you rest in the city centre."

"A relaxing walk along the sea from Fort Kugelbake, to ball beacon and then to the Ahoi in Duhnen made appetite for a coffee and ice cream with the most beautiful sunshine and almost early temperatures. So what was closer, not in Duhnen, to visit the “Eiscafé Capri” near the beach. Eiscafe Capri Cuxhaven In the middle of the tourist bed high-rises there are in the old town center of Duhnen allhand gastronomy. At the old village square, the village fountain you will find the “Capri”. Parking is available all around, especially during seasons, as well as no one. Well, well, whoever leaves his car outside of Duhnen and runs. From afar, the colorful complaints can be seen on the huge winter garden of the ice cream café. The Capri, actually a small cafe ́ in the house „Metchers“ was extended for more space by a conservatory. However, this was only placed on the bare road paver and serves in summer or transition times rather as a rustic weather protection, instead of a full-fledged cafe in winter. Winter garden At the feet of the ground cold, it pulled through small ridges and corners of the winter garden. Despite many radiators, no cozy and cuddly flair came up. Some guests encased themselves with laid-out blankets, left their fleece jackets on, and a few couldn't even pull out cap or anorak. Many small tables, which were for two people at most, are intended to place as many toys as possible. Fourth with coffee and ice cup is not at all. fresh tulips as table decorations But on all tables were floral vases with fresh(! Tulips. Oha, and this in February. Garderobe was also not present for this, so that the jackets and scarves via the chair and/or Armchair rest had to be suspended. Two ladies had a look at the shop and finished the guests quickly and quickly. Something more kindness and a smile sometimes causes a miracle. The ice cream and drink card was already on the table, as usual in such cafes. Since one was too little, we served the neighboring tables. The usual map of an ice cream with the usual offers of various ice cups. No own or special creations were there. So we chose a Latte Macchiato for 3,20 €, a Cappuccino Royal for also royale 3,10 €, as well as for the kids two cups of hot chocolate for 3,20 € each. As an ice cream we wished the Heidelbeer Mug for 6,90 €, After-Eight Mug a la Carte an After Eight Mug for 7,20 €, a Kiwi Mug for 6,90 € and a Lasagne ice cream for also 7,20 €. The drinks were at the table after a few minutes, the ice cups followed immediately. All drinks prepared from a large coffee bar, the ice should be made from its own. The ice cups were quite crowded. Heidelbeer Mug for 6,90 € My Heidelbeer Mug disappointed me in the fact that the blueberries were muddy and disintegrated, which speaks more for the cheapest discounter quality here. Heidelbeer cup-so he should be there promised the card a different quality. There was a fresh slice of orange for this, although this is not really suitable for blueberry. Kiwi Mug for 6,90 € The Kiwi Mug was filled with different fruit irons, here there was at least fresh kiwi upstairs. After Eight Mug for 7,20 € The After-Eight Mug was only filled with chocolate-mint ice, which ultimately became disgusting as there was only this one variety in the cup. To do this all-handed crooked stylus and a disc after-eight. Lasagne ice cream for 7,20 € Lasagne ice cream was only available with vanilla ice cream. On top, instead of as promised in the map with forest fruits, there were only mushy currants and blueberries on top. Then garnished with a really great amount of strawberry sauce and dropped across the edge of the plate. All ice creams were better off the taste, as we already ate more delicious. The cream of all cups was good and firm, not too sweet. When making fruit, you should pay attention to better quality when purchasing! There is not much to say about cleanliness. The tables in the conservatory were wiped after each guest change, that was ok. Sanitary rooms were not visited. Conclusion: unsuitable as winter cafe, at least at temperatures below 10 degrees. The wind pfiff, and when the sun swept behind the surrounding hotels it was fresh in the winter garden. The ice cups are not necessarily the Bringer, there are better. The prices are ok. Can you, you don't have to..."

"Last day and the last station in Cuxhaven before you go south again. But once again enjoy the beach air and the sea view. The weather was good all week, the rainfall announced has mostly not arrived. Before noon it will be overcast. Don't worry what to eat. You have to climb up the long stairs leading the dike. At the top you have the choice. Go straight to the sandy beach. If you have overlooked the exact view of the spa map of the old couple that forms the mobile cashier, you will find a beautiful picture of the North Sea. Small beach promenade, beach basket rental. Playground with pirate ship. If the program is, there is the blue classroom, a marine school for children. There's a little concert mussel. On the right you go to the beach house in Döse. A large building for several target groups. From the dike is the entrance to the restaurant and the dike. If you run the other side of the building along the beach side, you will only be guided by the beach, a typical souvenir shop. Then the bistro is with self-service switch. Of course, you need to read the signs where there is something and the many traces on the ground so that you don't run wrong. On the outside of the switch you can buy and treat the drinks like ice, milkshake, porcelain and apple strudel. For food, however, it is necessary to go in and sit in the human queue that leads. There is enough time to read through the tables of the dishes offered and do not sweat today. Unlike the two people behind the counter. You're hard at stress. What still stops is the recording of the address data, so that you already need a good patience thread in these days. So we separated ourselves for the supply of drinks and food. The list of dishes asks the usual. There are saving menus like in a snack, a shame that you do not know when you are in front of the counter. So we paid too much, because the drinks we picked. We choose 2 classics: curry sausage with pommes and baked fish with potato salad. The curry sausage is simply a big, long red with some ketchup and some curry powder over it. At Pommes with Majo there is nix to report. The baking fish is of course of deep cooling and bulk materials as well as potato salad. You didn't expect anything else. But everything was hot and absolutely good for the circumstances and the little hunger. If you organize everything, find a place. Many small white plastic tables with black plastic chairs are distributed on the meadow where you sit in the middle of the sea breeze. Probably more tables are available in normal times, distance must be straight. You can also sit in the big tent. This is nice with many windows so you can see a small sea. It is built on tile floor and there are chairs that are more comfortable than those made of plastic outside. Not so bad. Around the tent there are also seats that are even protected from the wind by a small wall."

"The last evening of our annual winter holiday in the Cuxland in 2017 had begun, and out of the refrigerator in the chic holiday cottage we jumped out a shining void. So what was closer was to drive the few kilometers to Cuxhaven and to sneak fresh fish there again. Since we wanted to conquer the old fishing harbour, this was of course our first goal. However, the disappointment quickly widened, except for the “Fishbörse”, where we were already at lunch one day before, all other fish restaurants had closed for the evening. Okay, so the few meters walked to the “Loyds”, but this store was full of breaks on Friday night. So there was nothing left to us to run until the new fishing port. There we were now facing several opened guest roses, and we chose “The Little Fish Box” which we visited last year. Menu So in the fish box, and there was almost everything occupied for Friday night. Immediately at the entrance there was a table for us four, so we took it, although it wasn't liked us so directly at the door. This also seemed to have been noticed by the service, because it offered us to take another place where the guests had paid. Empore We accepted gratefully, not assuming that it would ultimately not have a positive effect on our visit. After we had set ourselves in a quiet corner, with wonderful views over the entire restaurant, we immediately got the menu. 0.4ér Herforder Pils for 3,40 € Beverages, a 0.4ér Herforder Pils for 3,40 €, two Coca Cola Schoppen Grauer Burgundy for 4,00 € as well as a Schoppen Grauer Burgundy for 4,00 € were ordered quickly and at the table. But now we had time to review the modern restaurant, which is rather furnished in the style of a Bistros. Large tables, rustic wooden chairs and small room dividers should make the stay pleasant. From the big counter you have the entire restaurant in view. We sat on one of the few small elevations in a cozy corner. But apparently we were forgotten. The farms rushed back and forth in the whole restaurant, but we were not paying attention. Even new guests, who now sat on our first places, already got their appetizers, we hadn't even abandoned our food order yet. After unbelievable 25 minutes, an operation at our table finally started and accepted our order. If all the restaurants weren't full all around, I'd rather have left the store. So we ordered a clear fish soup with plenty of fish inlay for 5,00 € as an appetizer for me, as a main dish, my little and the big daughter ordered the cod fillet in bearded with remoulade sauce and homemade potato salad a ́ 12,00 €, my wife ordered the »Bootsmann-Teller« with redfish fillet, dorsch fillet, plumb and seaweed The clear fish soup with plenty of fish inlay then did not take long to get to our place after the order. Clear fish soup with plentiful fish inlay for 5,00 € Leaks looked at it, but here more salmon pieces instead of other noble fish in the soup. Vegetable strips and a small baguette slice rounded off the soup. Contrary to the “Fischerbörse” the broth tasted clearly for fish. After my wife had tasted from the broth, we were also very quickly aware of the flavor enhancers in the game, as she reacts allergic to such things, we could recognize this within a few minutes on the redness of her skin. For this purpose, the flavor enhancers are used, and this is then even € 1.10 more expensive than in the “Fishbörse”, we give it point withdrawal. The main foods were then at our place almost 30 minutes after ordering. Dorschfilet in Bierteig with Remouladensauce and homemade potato salad a ́ 12,00 € The cod fillets in Biertig with Remouladensauce and homemade potato salad of our children were huge fillets that took the length of the whole plate. The fillets with the crispy crispy roasted, a delicious and very spicy remoule sauce should round off the taste. At one daughter there were cucumber salad from the large market in the peel as a supplement, cod fillet in bearded with remoulade sauce and homemade potato salad a ́ 12,00 € at the other shepherd cheese and sour beans. Incomprehensible for us. The homemade potato salad was also delicious. In contrast to the Saxon potato salad with mayonnaise and meat salad, the latter was dressed with oil and speck. This dish is delicious.... »Bootsmann-Teller« with redfish fillet, cod fillet, sollen fillet and seaweed fillet with Remoulade and roast potatoes for 16,00 € The »Bootsmann-Teller« with redfish fillet, dorsch fillet, sollen fillet and seaweed fillet with Remoulade and roasted potatoes was covered with three well roasted fillets of red Also a small bowl of cucumber salad from the large market and the delicious remouladens sauce. Here you will find delicious and well seasoned roast potatoes. This, in contrast to yesterday’s visit to the “Fischerbörse”. The frying potatoes fried, with plenty of bacon and onion and with neat spice. However, even this plate 5,50 € more expensive than in the “Fischerbörse”. Steak from white heal butt with herbal butter, mixed salad and also roast potatoes for 19,50 € My steak from white heal butt with herbal butter, mixed salad and also roast potatoes also covered the half plate. Salad to halibut steak There was a mixed salad that was drowned in plentiful dressing and many sunflower and other grains. In addition, on the plate a small bowl with white herb salad, which at best came from the large market. Again, delicious roast potatoes. The halibut steak was well seasoned and pleasant in taste. I don't know if the €19.50 is justified. All in all, we left almost 80 euros here. For comparison one day before lunch in the “Fischerbörse” with comparable food (except the Heilbuttsteak) we paid only 55,00 €. That's 25 euros more. For this, old grandma has to work for a long time.... There is nothing to complain about cleanliness. Guest room as well as the sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. Conclusion: The food really delicious, unfortunately partly stretched with flavor enhancers or finished powder. Prices are significantly higher than in the old fishing port, but also one of the few restaurants that have opened in this corner in the evening. Only the service should remember that the customer pays their wages. We already had the same problem in 2014. The food has partially improved into the positive, the service still lags behind. And in the future, please do not use any flavor enhancers. We don't need that!"

"No, not again. For Sylvester 2014 we had ordered a table for 2 people. The table was free at 7:30. However, it was a cat table, at the entrance of the hall, opposite the completely overcrowded gardroben stand. On the similar table behind us a few places to complain about the table. When no one else could be assigned, they went, very upset again. Then the surprise. There was a menu for 39,90 EUR. This was not the case when booking. There was a composition of a swollen rye, salmon and shrimp with a sheet of spinach, some of which were incredibly grafted and sprouted potatoes. The preliminary soup (crabb cream) came in the hospital similar suppositories with a small piece of baguette. I chose the alternative, pigs and beef fillet in very manageable size with a parrot and a little cauliflower. We order wine. Lt. Card under the heading Roseweise a half-drum for my wife and for me a dry red from bathing. Then there was a sweet red for my wife and my red from Baden?. He was then misaligned as in Karaffen and also not injured. The carafe put a young blonde lady on the table and went back. The large bottle of water also came after the older waiter, who was more pampered and not very tempted, then managed to bring the bottle to the third reorder. The dessert, for my wife a men's cream, for me was a tiramisu on a plate that took half the table, as basically the other food. We didn't want a menu, not exactly what we were offered. for the total price (110,00 EUR) we would have chosen another restaurant with more flair with better service. The Restaurant Zur Post does not meet the requirements for such a menu in our eyes, as the drummer simply lacked."
