"At the recommendation of the waiter, we ordered a 3 course meal, with local fish soup as a starter. At first I did not think I would like a fish soup, but it was excellent. It was a creamy soup and contained tiny shrimp with two pieces of local fish. For the main course I ordered local North Sea fish and received two filets. One had a banana compote on top, while the other had bacon infused tiny shrimp, and both were excellent. Finally, for dessert I ordered the creme brûlée with blueberry sorbet which was the icing on the cake. It was one of the best meals I had during our Germany trip."

"We learned of this restaurant because friends of ours were having their wedding reception at this location. We decided to make it an extended weekend getaway. The restaurant is located on a dune above the beach and has a marvelous view of the water as well as nearby Neuwerk Island. This makes it the perfect location for sunset views.We first arrived at the restaurant the day before the reception for brunch. The food was delicious. The chef was very helpful especially in light of my food allergies and was able to provide me with freshly cut items that were prepared just for me. I added the vanilla yogurt to the fresh fruit compote at brunch- Delicious! The fortified milk, bread products, and yogurts are farmed/made specifically for this restaurant and were delicious. The chef informed us that the farm which provided the milk is not that far away and has tours and a petting zoo; however, we were to busy this weekend and will have to visit it another time. The evening of the reception was excellent. The wait staff were all prompt and friendly. The manager was very meticulous in making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Again the chef was able to adjust from the spinach encrusted tenderloin to just plain tenderloin for my health needs and was conscientiously concerned that I was able to enjoy the meal without feeling like an imposition to the staff. The bar was well stocked and all requests were met with prompt and friendly service. Even the children were attended to with imagination - my daughter was intoduced to a "Lemonaid" drink that was very interesting. OK, we added a little bit of brown sugar to ease the tartness for her sweet tooth but it was wonderful after that. We were all invited to return the next morning for brunch and again I was so comfortable despite my special needs. The building was shared with the Beach rescue service and the restroom area is open to the public beach visiters. This was the only drawback from this excellent restaurant as, at times, the restrooms were not treated kindly by the beach bathers."

Unfortunately, I have to press a big one, but behind. the prices are just too high. a chicken burger with a little meat without supplement for 12,90€ is simply too expensive. because you're not getting tired. if they do not give a drink, the previously experienced user-friendlyness is unfortunately history. but who does not pay attention to the price is well removed here. also 4 stars"

"the seglermesse is reached through the building of the Seglerverein. the restaurant with a large terrace is only accessible via a staircase. the view over the marina on the elbe is unique! Also worth mentioning are the very friendly service staff. a pity that the kitchen is the evaluation - at least in our case - cloudy. the fried fish was musked, the bratkartoffel n trieften before fat. the remoulade there was in a homeopathic dosis, but it was passed down. homeopathic also the discount for the senior portion (1.73 €). only the crabs convinced. we recommend the sailor fair for a coffee on the afternoon. who wants to eat delicious fish finds alternatives."

"the way forward: I am really annoyed! and why: there you order a pizza on Sunday evening and get a pizza vegeteria instead of pizza bolognese. stress, hectic o.a. - everything is not bad. called and asked to swap the pizza. ok, bolognese is out and salami is not there either. All right, we're done. ikea. thought. the hammer comes just right!!! because then the pizzabot came. another and had no idea of the incident. also wanted to have the pizza and then nicely get a 2nd time the pizza paid. I declare the incident, he calls and now it comes: I should pay, but I can get a discount. Conclusion: two hours annoyed, to pay twice. no thanks I say and never again with this service provider! flying pizza cuxhaven is supposed to be ashamed for their abscess at the customer!!!"

"Just sit with my family at Metscher. All orders were received, only my order was denied. Had ordered the Duhner Schlemmerteller (3 varieties of fish) which I had already ordered twice in glutenfteier variant. Today my order has been denied because it is supposed to be too much. My family is here at the same time as before. Even an alternative was not offered to me. It's a shame. Underground service with poor price/performance ratio. Never eat here again and can not recommend this!!!!"
