"the food is good but the choise on the menu is not as wide as it could be for a vegetarian restaurant(there s almost nothing vegan).My children and I loved the homemade chips and the weitresses are very kind and pacient and not snobbish like in many other places where they don t welcome you for a beer if you have kids with you.The bio beer taste lovely.Since I am a cook myself(italian)I would just offer a bigger range of interesting dishes changing the menu if not daily at least weekly without using so many pasta dishes and so many cheese dishes.But alltogether my reference is positive"

"Alles fing damit an, dass wir mit einer Gruppe einen Tisch im Außenbereich reservieren wollten. Dies war leider nicht möglich, da nur Tische im Innenbereich reserviert werden können. Soweit noch akzeptabel.Weiter ging es damit, dass es nicht möglich war, für einen Allergiker ein Schnitzel ohne Panade zu bestellen, obwohl die Schnitzel frisch zubereitet werden.Als das Essen dann kam, wurde es zu unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten gebracht, sodass einige ihre Teller schon halb aufgegessen hatten, als die letzten auch endlich ihr Essen bekamen.Die nächste Unerfreulichkeit erwartete uns beim Zahlen. Es ist in diesem Restaurant nicht möglich mit Karte zu zahlen, was nirgendwo ausgeschildert ist. Um dem Ganzen noch die Krone aufzusetzen, versuchte der Kellner uns mehr Getränke abzurechnen, als wir getrunken hatten. Wenigstens sah er seinen Fehler nach einiger Zeit ein.Alles in allem war der Abend im Eichbaum Tresen äußerst unerfreulich."

"Ein einmalig schönes Erlebnis mit kontinuierlicher Steigerung bei jedem Schritt. Man startet in der Regel als jemand mit mehr oder minder Interesse an Whisky und/oder einfach auf der Suche nach einem neuen Restaurant. Findet eine vielversprechende Webseite. Steht vor einem freundliche Außenfassade. Betritt eine sehr angenehm eingerichtete Räumlichkeit. Wird sehr freundlich und familiär empfangen. Erfährt ein wenig über die sympathische Story hinter der Gründung des Ladens während der Begrüßung. Schließlich wird der erste von vier Whiskys zur Verköstigung angeboten, begleitet von einem ebenfalls vier gängigen Menü. Jeder Schluck und Biss ist aufeinander abgestimmt, harmoniert, überrascht, erwärmt das Herz, entschleunigt und macht schlicht weg Glücklich. Man spürt die Kreativität, Liebe und Energie die im Zusammenspiel – ähnlich wie die Gericht Whisky Kombinationen – so organisch und harmonisch auftreten, dass sie vollkommen in den Hintergrund treten und einfach nur für einen schönen warmen Gefühl sorgen wie das Feuer eines Kamins oder schöne Klänge von Musik. Mich hat es begeistert und ich komme gerne wieder. Ein wunderbares Erlebnis und ich wünsche das Team vom ganzen Herzen viel Erfolg für die Zukunft."

"Ich lebe in der Nähe und habe die Entwicklung des Hofguts Oberfeld hautnah miterlebt. Ein Bauernhof wie er im Buche steht, charismatisch, diakonisch engagiert, sauber, gut organisiert, transparent, biologisch-dynamisch kurz ein wirklich schöner Ort wo die Welt noch in Ordnung zu sein scheint. Der Hofladen ist gut sortiert und es gibt viele saisonale Angebote. Das Fleisch ist der Wahnsinn, zugekauftes aber vor allem das eigene ist nur zu empfehlen. Die Käseauswahl würde ich als eine der besten in Damstadt und Umgebung bezeichnen.Die Kasse und Bedienung an der Theke ist leider sehr langsam und mit viel Kundschaft meist überfordert, das wäre noch ausbaufähig. Die Preise sind öfter mal überzogen, vor allem was Standart Bioprodukte angeht. Die angebotenen Backwaren sind meist sehr gut, manchmal etwas trocken.. Die anderen Gerichte im Café sind eher durchschnittlich, jedoch von hoher Qualität. Der Kaffee ist gut.Schade finde ich, dass man dort nur bis 19 Ihr sitzen kann.Das Feld an sich ist auch auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, man sieht wie Kühe, Hühner und Gänse leben und es geht einem das Herz auf, außerdem ist es auch so schön dort. Der Hof an sich ist auch schön, manchmal gibt es die ein oder andere Veranstaltung, was das ganze gut abrundet. Man kann dort also auf jeden Fall einen entspannten ganzen Tag verbringen und die Natur genießen.Einer meiner Lieblingsorte in Darmstadt."

"Mittlerweile seit Jahren eine Institution an der Heinrichstraße. Super Sushi und andere asiatische Spezialitäten, und das zu moderaten Preisen. Das Su-Chin-Team hat aus der etwas undankbaren Location ein schönes helles Restaurant gemacht, und auch auf der Außenterrasse sitzt man angenehm, seit die Heinrichstr. auf Tempo 30 beschränkt ist. Das Team ist super freundlich und humorvoll. Immer wieder gerne!"

"We walked to this restaurant from NH Hotel and found just what we were looking for! It seemed to be a family run, one of a kind cozy restaurant with good traditional German food. It is obviously a favorite local place as it was filled...and everyone knew one another. There were no English menus (a good sign) but waitress spoke perfect English. She was very helpful and kind. My husband and I each had a beer and a wonderful mixed salad. I had the small schnitzel with mushrooms and cream gravy and french fries. He had goulash with roasted potatoes. No room for dessert. The bill was under euro. We may have to fly thru Frankfurt on our next trip to Europe just to go back"

"We ate here on Sunday. There's a buffalo and it's weighted. There are only vegan and vegetarian dishes. There are many seats outside. The Maronenbraten and the filled Jalopenos tasted us particularly well. Here you have put a lot of effort and money in order to make the building and the areas as ecologically and natural as possible. For salad, main dish, dessert with coffee and water we have paid about €20/person. We like to come back."

"Wir waren zu dritt mit Kleinkind an einem späten Freitag Nachmittag Essen. Es waren inklusive Außenbereich insgesamt vier Tische besetzt. Mein Mann hatte als Vorspeise eine Suppe, die ganz lecker war. Wir hatten außerdem eine Vorspeisenplatte für zwei Personen bestellt, was keine war. Auf der Platte war einfach ein aufgeteilter Salat (Karotten, rote Beete, Tomaten und Gurken) mit etwas pampigem Reis und Kartoffelsalat dazu. So sieht für mich definitiv keine marokkanische Vorspeise aus. Unser Hauptgericht kam einfach 1,5 Stunden nach unserer Bestellung. Wir hatten zwei mal nachgefragt, wann das Essen kommt. Der Kellner hat versucht zu erklären wo das Essen bleibt, aber man hat wirklich nichts verstanden, außer dass er sich entschuldigt hat und wir je mit „gleich, in 3 Minuten“ und dann mit „in 5 Minuten vallah“ vertröstet wurden. Essen war geschmacklich ganz ok. Unser Hähnchen und Reis waren lauwarm (Nr.92 auf der Karte). Die Rechnung belief sich für drei Personen auf 80€. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass die Kellner wenigstens mit einer netten Geste, wie einen Tee aufs Haus etc. entschuldigt hätten. Eine so lange Wartezeit ist für das, was wir bestellt haben definitiv nicht gerechtfertigt. Andere Kunden, die später kamen haben teilweise vor uns ihr Hauptgericht bekommen."

"Wenn das Enchilada auch immer schon gut war für die Happy Hour und alles trotz billig Spirituosen noch passte fangen die Betreiber an das Niveau weiter zu senken. Neuerdings ist es Mode noch mehr Eis und weniger Getränk zu servieren. Fürs Erste reicht es mir. Ich will Qualität für mein Geld. Wenn der Laden die Preise anheben muss ok. Aber die Qualität zu beschneiden geht garnicht. Habe eine andere Bar gefunden. Zahle da das doppelte und habe den doppelten Geschmack und Menge dafür. Passt."

"Der Schlemmerblock brachte uns auf die Idee, dieses ÖPNV-günstig gelegene Lokal am Hauptbahnhof auszutesten - und es war eine gute Idee! Wir haben dort also einen wunderbar unterhaltsamen Mädelsabend verbracht, bei dem wir wirklich ausgesprochen nett und sehr aufmerksam -man kann fast schon sagen 'betreut' wurden. Zum Innen-Ambiente kann ich nichts sagen, da wir draußen sitzen konnten, und hierzu gilt: ÖPNV-günstig gelegen kann Vor- und Nachteil sein, denn es fahren laufend viele Busse, Straßenbahnen und Taxen in relativer Nähe vorbei. Zusammen mit dem stillgelegten Brunnen und dem städtischen Großcontainer ist hier optisch noch Luft nach oben, was allerdings vermutlich nicht von 4Cani beeinflusst werden kann. Was aber ginge: Pflänzchen und Kerze auf den weißen Holzlattentischen, dann wäre es womöglich gleich noch hübscher anzuschauen. Wichtiger ist ohnehin das Essen, und das war sehr gut! Wir waren mit unseren Speisen (großer Salat, Pasta mit Lachs und Gambas, süße Pizza als Dessert) ausgesprochen zufrieden! Insgesamt deshalb: gerne wieder!"

"I've just had a pleasant evening at Kneipe 41 with an old friend. The place was quiet but not dead, the service was very good, altogether a nice ambience. I had a nice pizza Romeo - rucola, fresh -tomoatoes & parmesan. For me, it wasn't outstanding - I like it French-style with a very thin base and not much cheese - but the topping was very fresh and the whole thing tasted very good so I was quite happy with it. So, would I go again or recommend it? Yes, if you're looking for a quite place for a drink and some decent food."

"Cu Bana Darmstadt It is a few years since my last visit Cu Bana the Cuban themed cocktail bar Restaurant in down town Darmstadt. We visited Sunday after church the interior is decorated in the style of a bar in down town Havana, one wall is full of photos of one Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz the Cuban president , the restaurant is split in two rooms the one at back was open to the sunshine with its by-folding doors. It was back to the diet tonight so the choice was a salad I decided on a colourful salad with tuna, the tuna was very plenty full and the salad was colourful carrot spring onion lettuce tomato egg cheese and not forgetting the cucumber plus dressing. The service our waitress gave was good. This is the best Cuban restaurant I have been to, it is the only one but it is well worth a visit and I will return."

"Our local Indian in Darmstadt is the Shalimar (see separate review) but we thought we'd try out the Indian Palace for a change.It was nice to not have the chaos of the Shalimar - the table was ready as reserved, as it should be. The restaurant appears to be family run and you are greeted and served in a warm and friendly way.The papadams we shared to start were spiced with a little pepper and were delicious. The main courses came (a little too quickly). The first impression was that the portions were a little small, but they were sufficient, just don't expect to have left overs for a doggy bag.The quality of the food was very good and we all found it tasty. However the chicken vindaloo was not spicy at all, despite being ordered "very spicy" and this was very disappointing.A nice touch was being told we could keep and reuse our 2-for-1 coupon. Chances are we'll be back.If you found my review helpful, I'd appreciate your vote."

"There are definitely people who are looking for exactly that kind of bar, but people with taste are not one of them. The Radler tasted sweet in the worst possible way, music is either pop and more annoying or house sets that you find on the Soundcloud homepage, then way too loud on speakers with 300% mids... If neither of these fits the rustic decor at all, then at least some guitar music plays to add to the atmosphere. The audience is young and stuffy, engineering students are happy, everyone else is taking a test drive."

"We went there with the intent of trying some traditional german dishes and we weren't proven wrong: the menu is wide and traditionial and all we tried was very good. On top of that, the personnel is extremely nice and welcoming (since the menu is...only written in german they spent a lot of time translating it, advising us on the best dishes they had and generally chatting and joking with us). The restaurant is sited where the city ends, right at the edges of a forest and during the days of good weather I would definitely advise to eat outside like we did: it makes the whole experience more reaxing and satisfying!"

"The restaurant is located in a slightly off location, the interior is unassuming. The place specializes in fish and seafood, they also run a fish shop nearby. The specialization pays off: this is, bar a large margin, the best fish and seafood I have eaten in Darmstadt. The owner is friendly and recommended that we (three people) order two tapas sets and he would make sure they contain lots of fish (which is what we wanted). He could have easily made more money if we had ordered a main dish each, so hats off! We got 12 different tapas, most with fantastically fresh seafood and grilled fish. Bread and olives are included for no extra. The cooking was straightforward (mostly grilled or simple sauces), but capable and nothing was dry or chewy. We drank a bottle of good Albarino that was also fairly priced. A free coffee or digestive was offered after the meal. This place is a hidden gem and despite the off location it is a good idea to book, because many happy regulars return there often. Next time I will try a paella which also looks delicious."

"It's asparagus season and Vapiano has some asparagus dishes. After trying out the "duetto de asparagi" a couple of weeks ago, I declared it as my new favorite when eating at Vapiano. However, depending on the guy preparing your meal you get pimpeltest different dishes...it is supposed to be spinach with the salad dressing of your choice, a white asparagus mousse and green asparagus with tomato sugo on top...your would think that is not a complicated dish to prepare? Wrong! The first time it was done right ("cook 1"). The second and third time the "cook" (2 and 3) did not find the mousse despite the ready portion sitting just to the right by the bread.... The fourth time the "cook (4)" put only one green asparagus on my plate and radicchio in my salad (despite me telling him I did not want any). And today? Well, cook 5 stated to mix the salad with...tomato sugo...seriously?????I would give this place 0 points because of the service...but ok, the food is quite good (3-4)...Vapiano, you need to do something about the training of your staff..."

"Premise: we went there for dinner, so my comments do not apply to the drinks' area.First of all, it's not really a mexican restaurant. I guess they call it like this just for marketing purposes because otherwise it's just a US-style fast food. I have nothing against a good hamburger once in a while, but it has at least to be decent. I ordered a double burger but what I got was very disappointing. The burger meat was as good as the frozen stuff you can buy in discount supermarkets at 1 euro per box., with the difference that this one was around 18 euros on their menu. Even the french fries were bad, which is quite an achievement! My wife had a dish of fried stuff which was barely acceptable.The waiters were quite friendly but also inexperienced.I would not be complaining so much if this place were at least cheap, but it is not. Our bill (2 people, 1 course each plus a soft drink) came out at 38 euros. I could eat much better (and faster) at Mcdonalds for less that 10 euros.The only positive thing I can mention about this place is the exit.."
