"Although I see some reviews mentioning expense, service, and quality were not up to snuff, this was not my experience at all. Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating, our food delicious, and our bill right at 50€ for 3 people for 3 entrees and 3 beers. My food had a hearty, comfort food feel (it was the veal in cream sauce - I fear I don't remember the German). The restaurant itself felt like you were at that one nice restaurant in a small town. The one you go to after church and with your grandparents. It was easy to imagine locals hunkered down inside sitting out a snow storm with a pint. No complaints; would happily go again."

"very nice caffe in the heart of donauwörth with a cozy atmosphere. homemade cakes and hot waffles. in the hot cirches you can see that it was somehow thickened with flour or something else. I find a portion would not hurt if you had the one yet.Once again everything has tasted.The limonade homemade is in my opinion too sweet and tastes something artificial.Once again the conditions are very fast and very friendly"

"We had just arrived in Donauworth and dropped our luggage at hotel. We set out to find a restaurant to relax and rejuvenate after long day. We were surprised to find most restaurants were closed at such an early hour, but saw that Grill Roma...was open, so we took a chance. There were only a few diners in the restaurant. We found a corner table by the window overlooking the river and the walking trail. Our waiter came from behind the bar and welcomed us with a smile. We ordered Dunkles Biers and began perusing the menus. Being in Germany, we were somewhat surprised to find an Italian restaurant with many selections that we enjoy. When our bier arrived, we ordered Spaghetti Carbonara and Scaloppine al Marsala. The food was a bit slow in arriving because the restaurant became very busy. The owner returned to check on us and was disappointed that we had not received our food. So he rushed to the kitchen and returned. The food was outstanding. My wife commented that this was the best spaghetti carbonara she had eaten. My scallopine al Marsala was very tender and the wine and mushroom sauce was perfection. We relished our dinner and enjoyed just talking. Time passed and most customers departed. As things started to settle, the owner came back to talk with us. I casually asked what an Italian was doing so far north. He was absolutely delightful as he told us about marrying a lady from Donauworth and working for his father-in-law. He finally bought the restaurant and changed it to include Italian food. Also, he said he had taken over the building next door and was remodeling it to be a hotel and restaurant to serve the guests. He was so excited and told us to come back and stay for awhile. HIGHLY RECOMMEND......"

(we were people).Other guests would also be addressed unfriendly. i'd take time. many have risen and gone. we have, too, been so unpublished and undamaged for a long time. thought we were supporting the companies. "I wanted to order two sandwiches on a Friday. Unfortunately, a delivery was not possible because this day was “sandwich day” and sandwiches are not delivered there under any circumstances. This was because on that day the sandwiches are cheaper. We would have liked to dispense with the discount if necessary. It's even less to understand, as the Pizza Express will certainly deliver pizzas somewhere on that day and could take two sandwiches at any time. You can't understand that as a customer."

"I speak all of 5 German words, but that didn't stop me from having a nice lunch. If you know the basics of Greek food, you can guess at many of the dishes. In the end, I just looked around at other tables and pointed to something tasty. I had a plate full of meat and rice, and a side salad. Complete with a coke, it came to 10€. An unbelievably good deal. The meal also came with complimentary ouzo, which I did drink despite my dislike of licorice (when in Rome, right?). I was also given a really nice rose liquor following lunch as I indicated that ouzo was not my thing when offered a second shot. Waitstaff was genial and despite our language barrier, we had a few laughs."

"Seit dem das La Rusticana quasi gegenüber von uns aufgemacht hat gehen wir dort oft Essen und holen auch sehr oft etwas für uns daheim. Essen ist von ausgezeichneter Qualität und vor allem die Sachen abseits von Pasta und Pizza sind besonders hervorzuheben. In den italienischen Restaurants in Donauwörth bekommt man wenn dann nur gute Pasta und Pizza. Hier bekommt man auch ausgezeichnete Saltimbocca und hervorragenden Fisch und Meeresfrüchte.Die Tageskarte ist auch immer einen Blick wert da dort auch mal aussergewöhnliche Nudelsorten angeboten werden. Falls keine ausliegt einfach fragen.Der Service ist auch italienisch gelassen und sehr nett. Familiär ist es obendrein."

"Neues Design, neue Karte, besseres Essen.Wir wohnen jetzt seit 2 Jahren in Donauwörth und waren ganz am Anfang dort Essen, leider traf es damals nicht unseren Geschmack und alles war relativ stark heruntergekommen.Letzten Sonntag waren wir mangels Alternativen dort wieder Essen.Da schönes Wetter war saßen wir draussen und wollten eigentlich die Spare-Rips essen. Der flotte Service teilte uns dann mit das die leider ausverkauft sind.Folglich sahen wir uns die Karte an und stellen dort schon die Veränderungen Fest in Form von neuen Gerichten.Meine Freundin hatte den Cheesburger mit Heumilchkäse und ich hatte das steak mit Ofenkartoffel. Essen kam schnell und ich muss sagen hat uns total überrascht. 1a Qualität, Gargrad perfekt getroffen und Beilagen ein Traum.Die Atmosphäre war so gemütlich dass wir uns noch ein paar weitere Getränke genehmigten und auf den Weg zur Toilette entdecke ich dann dass auch der Innenraum komplett neu gestaltet wurde. Sieht Top aus. Da Sonntag Steaktag ist betrug unserer Rechnung nicht mal 35 Euro und das bei 2 HG und 5 alkoholischen Getränken.Da kann kein Mexikaner mehr im Ried mithalten. Unbedingt wieder ausprobierten wer früher mal schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht hat."
