"We visited the Restaraunt Speck as a wedding party. As an aperitif there were various Flammkuchet which tasted excellent. For dinner there were various salads and grilled meat from the smoker with various homemade sauces. Everything was perfect and very tasty. Unfortunately, the food remained good. As a wedding party, I cannot recommend the restaurant, despite the good food, for the following reasons: There was far too little food at the aperitif, so the guests complained. We had dinner in a room that was air conditioned and something else. We had to wolf down the food in 30 degree temperatures so we could get back outside as quickly as possible. Service staff made a rather unprofessional impression The main service person was extremely unfriendly. Red wine was at room temperature from the start (i.e. 30 degrees). When you pointed this out to the service staff, they said, yes, you can't expect anything else in this heat. The fact that we used the garden terrace to cool off was also only tolerated with gnashing of teeth by the service staff. When you asked if you could put the tables on the garden terrace together, the first thing you said was: “No, otherwise you’ll have to undo that the next day.” And finally, the restaurant sent the entire party home at midnight because they didn't have permission to serve alcohol after midnight. I've been to quite a few weddings. But I have never experienced such behavior from an inn that advertises events etc."
