"we eat 3 meals here in 2 days. a French owner who runs an Italian restaurant in a hotel in the German part of Switzerland. the slender garnels were excellent, cooked until perfection with subtle oil garlic sauce. caprese was very good to know that the tomats were not in season. the chef likes to go on the balsamico in the dressur hard. the kalbsaliclopine was in lemon butter sauce with cream risotto. the risotto melted in my mouth, simple but satisfying. very well prepared, but the garnels have won. pasta for lunch was the one day perfectly cooked with a light bun in oil coating. wee choices were ok (Spanish and Portuguese? very friendly owner who spoke French but not English. the people speak English. ."

Barrierefreies Restaurant im Motel Fehraltdorf. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service. Gute und frische Küche. Der Koch zaubert sogar Desserts außerhalb der Speisekarte. Rollifahrer sind herzlich willkommen. Leider ist das Restaurant am Wochenende geschlossenen. View menu

Zum Hotel das Restaurant mit Aussenbereich, der wie das Hotel direkt an der Bahnlinie liegt. Dazu mit einer hohen Mauer umgeben, also optisch ein no go. Bedienung flink und aufmerksam, Vorspeise lecker, Pizza fast wie aus der Tüte, dazu ein Weizen für über 7 Franken. Willkommen in der Schweiz

I had the garnel again and it was very good as it was last time. another meal I had the pasta carbonara, which was creamy and slightly flavored, which just passed through the panchetta. the salat was hard in balsamic dressing, good what I like balsamico. my dining room partners said their dinners were well prepared and pleasant. dessert pannacotta was good and presentation was excellent. the wines come from Spanish and Portuguese and the primitive wines. I prefer French and northern Italy for my basic dinner.

"A friend and I wanted to have lunch at this newly opened pub/restaurant. Situated right next to Uster Bahnhof, the Porter House replaced the Red Ochre Grill which was a staple in town for quite some years. As we entered and asked if we could eat, there was only a ghoulish bartender roughly telling us; "Restaurant, left side!" Ok... So we went to their "terrace" overlooking Uster Bahnhof, had a seat and even though it's a non smoking section, immediately noticed (i.e. smelled) someone behind us smoking cigars. Ok...well I was then told that unfortunately it was already 2pm so the kitchen was closed and we could only pick from the snack menu. Understandable, we were quite late for lunch. The snack selection doesnt look bad but there was not really anything we really wanted as we felt like eating a Burger and (we guessed) they would have it on the lunch menu, but oh well, we were late. So we first ordered some drinks, a tonic water and a small coke. Tonic water arrived immediately, but the Coke took about 10mins to pour. In the meantime we decided to just have an appetizer and ordered some Bruschetta to share, which the staff didnt seem to be too enthusiastic about (What? Theyre sharing a plate for one?) So then the Coke arrived as well but they brought a large (more expensive, and by that i mean ridiculously expensive) instead of the small one my friend ordered. Ok...well, she then tried to get the waitresses attention but to no avail. She was ignored. Bruschetta was good, but then again; making a Bruschetta is not exactly rocket science. Bruschetta finished, we just wanted to get out of there, funny atmosphere in that place. When we paid my friend told the waiter that shed ordered a small coke and not half a liter! All the waiter could muster was; "Oh? Ok..." No apology, no sorry we'll just charge you the one you ordered, just simply Oh? Ok... And this pretty much sums up the place. For a newly opened up restaurant/pub, the staff seems a tad bit un- or demotivated, unfriendly and just plain weird. Like they don't care. Don't think I'll step foot in there again. Oh, what's really notable about the Porter House is that in the restrooms, the ladys room is marked with a pair of well formed breasts molded in copper and the mens room with a nutbag. Very classy! Hey Porter, hey Porter!"
