"I have frequented this restaurant many times in the past, but recently I have noticed a decline in quality. I decided to give them one last chance and ordered an extra large portion of Donner meat and chips. Unfortunately, I was once again disappointed. The amount of Donner meat was minimal, probably only about 10% of the dish. Essentially, I paid £7 for mostly chips. The prices have also increased significantly, while the portion sizes have become unreasonably small. This will be my final visit to this establishment."

"Last Saturday night, on June 25th, 2022, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I strongly advise against ordering from this establishment. My friend and I ordered takeout and both ended up extremely ill, spending the past 4 days and nights suffering from painful stomach cramps on the toilet. "I had eaten here a few times before and the food was good, however last time, I had to chase our orders and the manager came over and started shouting at me and insisted I told him whether he should sack his chef. Really unprofessional. However, last night, I thought we would go back. We arrived and were shown to a table. We ordered drinks and the same manager came over and said Im not sure when you will get your food! We asked what he meant. He said (in a very obnoxious and confrontational tone) We are very busy, what do you want me to do? Go and kick the chef? He started shouting and I simply asked if he could give me a rough idea of how long food would be. He got more angry and was shouting to the point where other diners were looking over. I tried to reason with him and said that we would wait but if he could ask the chef just to give us an idea, that would be great. His tone got even louder and he snatched our menus back from us. He said You better leave and then started on me, bringing up how I complained last time which was over 6 months ago. We were embarrased, astounded and felt so awkward. He ushered us out of the restaurant with everybody watching. We then went to Paprika Club and explained we were in a huge rush. Whilst I am a regular there, the restaurant was packed and they ensured we had a wonderful meal within 20 minutes. Been, you are an awful place and your manager is a joke. We will never return and I would urge others to steer WELL CLEAR!"

"However, last Sunday, I went back, as I arrived early to pick up my wife from Heathrow. I ordered a few Dim Sum items, and they were just okay. The Har Kau was average, the Siu Mai was below average, the Beef Cheung Fun was a bit soggy, and the Yam Croquette was subpar. "I’ve never been so disappointed at a restaurant, and I won’t be returning. We were one of only three tables on a Saturday night, and it was easy to see why. The idea of all-you-can-eat for a set price sounded appealing, but the execution was lacking. We ordered six starters, and the ribs were tough while the spring rolls were underwhelming. When the main course arrived, one of my friends struggled to eat his dish. My chicken with spring onions and ginger was overwhelming, leaving me sweating all night and worried about feeling ill. If I had paid for this meal, I would have expressed my dissatisfaction directly to the owners, but our friends who handled the bill were just too nice."

"I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We arrived with a reservation for 6 people at 7:30 pm and ordered drinks and food at the bar. However, when we sat down at our table at 9 pm, we had only received our drinks and no food. After inquiring, we were told by the waiter that our order had just gone through, meaning we had waited over an hour for our food. Some of the starters we received were stone cold, including pork ribs that were inedible. When we mentioned this to our waiter, there was no apology or offer to rectify the situation. The main courses were decent, but the evening had already been ruined. We even had to pay for additional drinks before they were served to us. There was no gesture of apology or reduction in price for the terrible starters. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as the staff clearly lack proper customer service skills. They were too preoccupied with menial tasks like folding napkins to realize that customers were waiting for their food, which the kitchen was unaware of."

"My family and I had a wonderful meal at Red Torch Ginger last weekend. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the food was delicious and close to real Thai cuisine. We ordered many times take out from them, but the restaurant offers a bigger variety of meals when you dine in. We enjoyed the crispy duck and the pad thai noodles. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful, and the portions were generous. We also liked the cozy atmosphere of the place, and the prices were reasonable. Red Torch Ginger is one of the best restaurants in Maynooth."

"I put my email in December for six people including one wheelchair user I was quite pacific remind request when we arrived at the restaurant there is no accessible entrance no mobile ramp and we had to get my guest up to steps with now with no help and support from the restaurant staff when I raise this with the staff they totally ignored it and blanked me is is unfortunate as restaurant is very good food is good but the access is not acceptable in the year 2018 please ensure they have a portable ramp available for wheelchair users and people unable to use Tips . "Tonight I had the most appalling dinner experience of my entire life and in the UK!!!! I was with a group of investors all from African countries including myself even if I have very light skin tone. I have to say this like it happened. We were four and as the other 2 colleagues sat down, the older chinese lady waitress showed visible discontent for the amount of time taken to place the orders which was really 5 mins then left our table upset without saying anything. Then comes this Chinese waiter guy immediately as if to speed things up, and who to Brits standards was plain Rude to my colleagues. He kept urging us to order. When asked about the wine selection, he kept mentioning that she had to order the bottle as if ordering a wine glass never existed before. My colleague asked to remove the chicken from the rice for more eggs as she does not eat chicken, but the owner waiter obsessed about the effort that it will take them to do this, plus the fact that it will cost her more, and that the portion will stay the same, despite my colleague repeatedly explaining that this is what she wants no matter the cost. This conversation went on for a solid 5mins. Somehow, the complex and rocket science information did not sink in a typical Chinese brain I guess and my colleague just gave up as he kept insisting . Then back is the Chinese lady, who abruptly announces that there was a charge of £40 table or £10 person when one of the ladies decided not to place any food order but would have drinks. This was never shared with us before sitting down. This is written no where. When one of us challenged it, she tried to show us a small print on the menu which do not reflect at all the sudden made up rule. I felt more than uncomfortable. They made us feel unwanted, and made it so difficult for us to place orders. I felt sorry for my colleagues for being treated so poorly and unfairly. I was shocked. I was appalled. I had no words. We decided to cancel the orders and leave. I realised that no matter the discrimination I possibly have faced before was nothing in comparison to what black people face and here especially by the Chinese people in the UK who think of themselves as superior to African people. I say this factually as I was treated differently when I went to this exact same restaurant the night before and on my own. Trying to order a meal tonight was excruciatingly painful. Shame on you! Look at yourself in the mirror and let me remind you that you are immigrants too, not white, working shifts and serving people. If you cannot intergrate properly into the UKs culture, have manners, learn simple English, and can't handle multicoloured customers, go back to your beautiful China!! Also the portions are tiny, you are served in a small plate so you don't realise that the portions are smaller, and the price is too expensive for what you get. When my food arrived the previous day, I thought that i ordered the wrong meal or that they gave me a lunch menu or kid's meal. All in all don't waste your time or money there."

"very small restaurant at the side of the pub. It was fine. Food was good but service was strange. They brought the prossecco but the waitress said she couldn’t open it so we did it ourselves (although sue said she would get someone who could)!. The 2nd bottle she brought it already opened. The band arrived in the pub so it got a little noisy but it was ok as we knew there would be a band playing that evening. The food was good."
