"I have been a big fan of the Red Tiffin for a while now. It is the best South Asian takeaway in the area with a good selection of meat-free options. However, I have had some mixed experiences with the staff at the counter. One of them is incredibly friendly and sweet, but there is another guy who can be quite rude. Unfortunately, his attitude has made me hesitant to order from here. It's a shame because other than that, I have had no other issues with this place."

"Lovely restaurant and decor to compliment the service given. A little pricy. Food was lovely and service was pretty efficient by our waitress(did not get her name). What I wasn't extremely happy with was the fact that our waitress offered popadoms and water said it was complementary, I decided to specifically ask if they both were and then the waitress told me only the water was complimentary; absolutely fine if popadoms aren't complimentary but don't make out as though it is. I decided to take off the service charge as I love to individually tip my waiter/waitress but staff decided to tell manager and he decided to make a big deal."

"I visited the restaurant with a large group and the service was exceptional—extremely attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding; I truly feel this is authentic Indian cuisine at its best. Every dish we had throughout the meal was flawless, showcasing incredible flavors and a perfect balance of spices. While it's not the cheapest option, it offers fine dining at a very high standard. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. For vegetarians: there are plenty of dishes that cater to your needs. As for parking, there is ample space available within The Grove estate."

"The food was mediocre and I didn’t feel like there was anything special about it. Just tasted like a normal curry from any high street takeaway. The seating was so tightly arranged and at times I couldn’t push my chair back to stand because the table behind me had their chairs straight up against my back. Pretty much immediately after we finished eating, we could see the staff eyeing us to leave. And we felt uncomfortable and as if we were imposing even when there was no time limit on the table."

"The staff completely disregarded our reservation, despite it being confirmed in a separate correspondence. They seemed indifferent, uninterested, and unhelpful. When inquiring about ingredients for allergies, they bluntly stated they didn't know how the food was sourced. Our group felt like a burden. The service was painfully slow, leading to one member not being able to enjoy their meal as it arrived late. Even after requesting a cooler dessert, it was served too hot and then taken away without our consent. The restroom was cold, unkempt, and lacked basic amenities. The set menu was not good value for money and had to be specifically asked for as it was not advertised."

"This is our favorite restaurant for a dinner night out, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I have celebrated my last three birthdays here and each experience has been fantastic. I am slowly working my way through the menu, and so far I have not tried a curry that I did not enjoy! The service is excellent, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere is also a 5 out of 5. The recommended dishes are the Tandoori Fish and Chicken 65. The price per person for dinner ranges from £20-30."

"Had been looking forward to trying this place as had heard great reviews but unfortunately very disappointed. Ordered chilli garlic Prawns which did not contain peppers as described and the sauce tasted like chilli ketchup. Squid starter was the most disappointing, the batter was coming off the squid resulting in a congealed sauce which was thick anyway.. Shame about texture as sauce was flavoursome. . The butter chicken was lovely but quite spicy which is surprising as this dish is usually mild, unfortunately no indication of spice level on website otherwise would have asked for spice to be reduced. Placed order over the phone but now wished I placed it on website as they didn't apply correct meal deal, when asked I was advised the butter chicken was not classic curry and therefore not included in deal. Only checked when I returned home and this was one of the dish choices on website for the meal deals. This resulted in over charging me which is bit dishonest."

"I had booked a table for 2 as it was hubbies birthday. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our table upstairs. Please note there is a lift available). The chair was comfy and plenty of table room. The waiter brought our lunch menu and explained the dishes on offer. Please note they have changed the lunch menu to that shown on their site). It now a choice of three complete menu dishes. We ordered the meat menu and it arrived on a sectioned stainless steel plate and we were not disappointed what was on it. One section for starter, three section holding chicken, lamb different curries, boiled rice and chapatti. Oh boy was it tasty and we cleared our plates. We washed it down with a J20 and Coke. The bill was £25.80 to which £5.90 was for the drinks). I would recommend this place and for one will definitely be going back."

"This Indian restaurant in Edinburgh is probably one of the most overlooked gems. The food felt just like home-cooked meals and the flavors were so delicious that I ended up dining here two days in a row. "This was my first time visiting this restaurant, but it definitely won't be my last. A friend recommended it to me and I had an excellent dining experience. The food was delicious, with a wide selection on the menu to choose from. The drinks list was impressive, the decor was beautiful, and the staff were attentive. "This Indian restaurant is always fantastic and one of my favorites in the area. The staff is very friendly and attentive, ensuring that your glass is never empty for long. I had the deluxe platter with a wide variety of chicken and lamb dishes, accompanied by a generous portion of rice. This is perfect for those who like to try different curries or have trouble deciding on a dish. The chicken curry was beautifully flavored and the meat was very tender. We prefer our food on the spicy side, and the staff was happy to accommodate our request for extra chili. The naan bread was always served hot and soft, with just the right amount of butter. The portions are generous and I appreciate how knowledgeable and patient the waiters are in helping me navigate the menu. We have dined here with family, friends, as a couple, and even hosted a private banquet and birthday party in the side area without any issues. The prices are average and on par with similar restaurants. The thali we ordered was one of the more expensive items at around £17, but the selection was well worth it. We even had leftovers to take home the next day. Overall, the dining experience is consistently excellent here."

"Although it was New Year’s Eve, when we arrived, it was clear that the booking hadn’t been transferred from the app to the book by the restaurant and as such we were seated over 35 minutes late. The table was not in a great position as it was in the way of the route to the toilet, but not really a major issue. Apart from when the food was brought to the table, there was no interaction with anyone from the restaurant. I had to chase for additional drinks and for a cloth to clean the table after the starters. Food was good and no complaints there."

"beautiful place to dinate with an impressive ambiente. and very high quality napali eat. we just love it. would like to visit again to explore more food quality is undoubtedly great. but the only complain we felt that parts are a little less to share. the starter are not divided between 2-3 adult. we like momos, but felt portions were a little less the king pron curry dish is beautiful. the total place is beautiful. good royal feeling, the service was also brilliant. good place to dine and hang out with family and friends. will be 8 out of 10th place to improve the size of the meal to a bit increase, compared to the cost of the items. and increase customer base..we did not find much in the midday hours compared to the size of the place."
