"I have been a big fan of the Red Tiffin for a while now. It is the best South Asian takeaway in the area with a good selection of meat-free options. However, I have had some mixed experiences with the staff at the counter. One of them is incredibly friendly and sweet, but there is another guy who can be quite rude. Unfortunately, his attitude has made me hesitant to order from here. It's a shame because other than that, I have had no other issues with this place."

"We returned having had a great time the first time and it didn't disappoint. Our waitress was first class she even remembered us from months ago. Always willing to recommend dishes. The chef even let us try something before we made a decision as was worried it was going to be too spicy. It wasn't it was delicious. As was all the food we had. We ate too much but it was worth feeling full. Have recommended to friends will certainly be back for the Goat curry ...and everything else."

"This is our favorite restaurant for a dinner night out, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I have celebrated my last three birthdays here and each experience has been fantastic. I am slowly working my way through the menu, and so far I have not tried a curry that I did not enjoy! The service is excellent, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere is also a 5 out of 5. The recommended dishes are the Tandoori Fish and Chicken 65. The price per person for dinner ranges from £20-30."

"Have eaten here befiore and it has been much better. Food was OK but one of the dishes was very bland. We had booked in advance at 8pm. It was a busy Saturday night and the service was somewhat strange all night starting with the waiter bringing a single starter. We asked if the others were coming and he rather abruptly said yes. The others then followed a bit strange but ok. The worst was when at 9:10 we were asked if we would leave the table. We still had half of our drinks left and had only just finished eating, 70 minutes after the booking time hardly an age? I feel they were being gready and putting profit before serving the customers already in the restaurant. Maybe the new restaurant was a step too far and they are struggling for staff but I really felt there had to be a manager there with the correct attitude. They all seemed a bit undertrained and all over the place to be honest which is not great as it is not cheap. Won't be going back for a while at least."

"The same as last visit, food excellent, service very good and some good banter as well. We couldn’t eat everything so had the food packed up and we ate it two days later and was sufficient for another meal and tasted as good as freshly cooked. "Had been looking forward to trying this place as had heard great reviews but unfortunately very disappointed. Ordered chilli garlic Prawns which did not contain peppers as described and the sauce tasted like chilli ketchup. Squid starter was the most disappointing, the batter was coming off the squid resulting in a congealed sauce which was thick anyway.. Shame about texture as sauce was flavoursome. . The butter chicken was lovely but quite spicy which is surprising as this dish is usually mild, unfortunately no indication of spice level on website otherwise would have asked for spice to be reduced. Placed order over the phone but now wished I placed it on website as they didn't apply correct meal deal, when asked I was advised the butter chicken was not classic curry and therefore not included in deal. Only checked when I returned home and this was one of the dish choices on website for the meal deals. This resulted in over charging me which is bit dishonest."

"Had dinner at the Spice Merchant in Beaconsfield for a girls night out. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were all treated as royalty! The food was delicious great taste, quality, presentation and good portion sizes. The location of the restaurant is on the high street and it is huge inside with seating in the back garden area too. "This Indian restaurant is always fantastic and one of my favorites in the area. The staff is very friendly and attentive, ensuring that your glass is never empty for long. I had the deluxe platter with a wide variety of chicken and lamb dishes, accompanied by a generous portion of rice. This is perfect for those who like to try different curries or have trouble deciding on a dish. The chicken curry was beautifully flavored and the meat was very tender. We prefer our food on the spicy side, and the staff was happy to accommodate our request for extra chili. The naan bread was always served hot and soft, with just the right amount of butter. The portions are generous and I appreciate how knowledgeable and patient the waiters are in helping me navigate the menu. We have dined here with family, friends, as a couple, and even hosted a private banquet and birthday party in the side area without any issues. The prices are average and on par with similar restaurants. The thali we ordered was one of the more expensive items at around £17, but the selection was well worth it. We even had leftovers to take home the next day. Overall, the dining experience is consistently excellent here."

"On Wednesday, 30/11/22, three local middle-aged pescatarian men celebrated a birthday by going out for lunch at Madras, a Sri-Lankan/South Indian restaurant in Lewisham. They had been to the restaurant before when it was known as The Green Cabin. The restaurant had a few faded decorations and furniture, but the food was always tasty and reasonably priced. They arrived around 13:40 and found the restaurant nearly empty, so they chose a table by the window in the hopes of attracting more customers. The menu offered a mix of traditional Indian and South Indian dishes, and they decided to skip alcohol and order lassis instead. They were cautious about ordering too much due to the spiciness of the food. Throughout their meal, they noticed several delivery couriers coming in and out. A family arrived later on, but the restaurant remained relatively quiet. One of the men accidentally ordered a mixed Thali, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise with a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes. They also ordered a Mutton Masala Dosai and some side dishes to share. The food was spicy but delicious, and they managed to finish everything without needing a doggy bag. The bill came to a reasonable £50.90, and they left a £5 tip before heading out into the streets of Lewisham, happy and satisfied."
