"Visited on a Tuesday evening. The food was beyond dry like it was left overs from the weekend. For starters we had burnt end. They were more like lumps of charcoal. I get there burnt end these were incinerated. For mains we had the brisket, again really really dry. It was a struggle to eat it. The chips were the only nice part.No one checked on us while eating. Then when paying the bill when asked how it was we say it was ok ish no follow up to this by staff member. Couldn't be bothered to argue as my partner and I were beyond disappointed. We just wanted to get home as we had travelled to visit on glowing reviews. Will not be revisiting any time in the future."

"Went for a drive Father's day and ended up having a meal here, we rang and luckily got a table for 7pm. On entry to the Celtic Arms it was a high walled gated area with absolutely beautiful gardens which went on for some considerable area, it is a golf club as well and a beautiful golf course with golf buggies opposite the restaurant. Opposite the golf buggies their is a play area that as I recall was fenced off but attached to the restaurant as its also a bar. On arrival to the resteraunt the manager was extremely warm and welcoming and escorted us to a table just outside of the restaurant. During the time we where in the Celtic Arms I observed the waitress in the restaurant constantly clean and spraying the tables which was absolutely so reassuring since the last covid people have relaxed a bit to much. A young lady who was equally as welcoming came and as us for our order, it was a set three course meal at £23.99 which we felt was really reasonable for such a lovely place. Halfway through our time in the Celtic Arms the young lady went home from her shift that had intially taken our order and I pressume we then passed to another waitress. I felt we where out of the eye of the bar but not in the restaurant so got a little forgotten about, although once we called a member of staff to remove our plates these where remove immediately. The starters where delicious with plenty of prawns on the prawn cocktail and the pate had an amazing homemade chutney. The mains where lamb and beef with the whole meal being cooked to perfection and hot with vegetables cooked just right. A lovely touch we felt was the lady out of the restaurant came and asked us if everything was to our liking and was there anything of the meal we would like a little extra off, I dare say you won't get a ton of potatoes or veg but the gesture was very touching and to be honest the meal size was ample. The desert white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake we shared and both agreed it was delicious, and we then shared a cheeseboard which I had got on the three course set menu. The delicious chutney again appeared with varies cheeses, crackers and grapes. Our compliments where left with the manager and the staff with our thanks for serving and delivering multiple resteraunts can not quite achieve. Well done Celtic arms for your polite, professional manner and serving a delicious good quality meal which was ample portioned, reasonably priced in an excellent environment. Would definitely recommend this place it's beautiful and wins hands down on the last 20 plus places we have been over the last few months. We will most definitely be going back again."

"We have been to the Coach Horses many a time after Julian bought it and opened it up again. The food has always been phenomenal and everything to die for. So we decided to book last Saturday and felt it was very short lived....We arrived and ordered drinks. There was no lime juice to go with lager or any blackcurrant just orange which is a no no. One of our party asked for a Malbec and they didn’t have any. The menu was really short and basic. We are mad steak eaters and for a Saturday night we expected off the grill. The Google page with the menu has not been updated so when we saw what was on offer on the grill we booked. So disappointed when we had the menu presented to us as NO off the grill option. Not one steak option or mixed grill available. Also no pizzas available. Had the website been updated we would not of booked here with what was on offer on the menu. We even asked if their were any specials board to be told no. There was approx 5 basic starters, including duck spring rolls, chicken gougons, and a cheese tart which was not a tart at all and just a slab of cheese on a puff pastry lid which one ordered and regretted. We felt the spring rolls were not home made and if there was any duck in them we were amazed it was just like a duck flavour. The chicken gougons again felt as if from a catering pack and not home made. There was a very basic menu of mains which included a whole rack of ribs, fish (to order) chips, cajun chicken, sweet sour chicken, half a chicken or a burger, which we had. There was also a couple more options of vegetarian and vegan. We asked if any jacket potatoes were available to be told no. We asked could we change sweet potatoes to chips to be told they would have to ask. Then came back out and said nothing so one of us hanged there choice and ordered sweet sour instead and a side dish of fresh home cooked chips. The meals came with frozen French fries but slightly thicker than McDonald’s like a KFC. Yet on the side dishes you could have home made chips. We were not being awkward we absolutely love the place but it has slumped in what it used to be. Orders were simple asking if possible to change the fries to real chips and eventually after going into the kitchen and a staff member speaking with chef he accepted this. However when the meals came out they had French style fries on every meal. So they went back except for me I was starving and just wanted to eat. We had 1 of our party who doe not eat chips so asked if the chips could be exchanged for extra salad. The meal came out with frozen style French fries and an extra portion of salad which that small bowl was charged to our bill at £3. Surely if asking for no chips but a bit more salad that should be swapped and not still delivered chips and charge for salad? Eventually the orders came back out with real chips. And we started to tuck in realising one who ordered sweet and sour with an extra portion of chips was still waiting for her food while others on another table received theirs. If this pub had of been packed the incidents could of been looked over but it was a Saturday night. There was 5 of us, a table of 4 behind us, 4 opposite the bar. The conservatory was empty and the bar area had about 5 people drinking not eating. So we felt for a service of so low the deliverance was poor. The starters as said were acceptable but very basic and felt out of a catering package. The mains we will say were nice, two had the half chicken who said it was beautiful and really moist. I had the whole rack of ribs and it was beautiful. Another had the sweet sour and said it was gorgeous and the other had the Cajun chicken who said wow it couldn’t be faulted. So it’s mixed feelings by us but hopefully the coach horses can review their menu. Until it does we won’t be back which is with sadness considering we have been many times. Please accept this as constructive criticism and not negative. We know you are far capable of more than this."

"Well, totally unexpected, an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish ! Booked here for the first time on a bit of a whim, I normally eat Indian Bangladeshi food but thought I'd try here as the wife loves chines food and I'm glad...I did ! Tje food was beautiful, and some I'd not heard of but the staff were very helpful in helping us choose. The staff go tje extra mile here, polite, extremely helpful and the food was an absolute delight. The sharing platter was excellent and I chose the Beef Rendang for my main, the meat was sooooo tender that it melted in my mouth and ohhh so tasty. Absolutely faultless place to eat, so good in fact that we rebooked for the following Wednesday for the whole family and can't wait to come back ! Many thanks for a delightful evening !!!!"

"Our experience at Cabovino was enjoyable. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant, even on a Monday evening. The dishes were well presented and delicious, although the prices were a bit high for the portion sizes. Some of the dishes leaned more toward mezze than tapas. While it's a nice restaurant, there are better tapas options in Wirral."

"Really disappointing. Upon entry, we weren’t given the warmest of welcomes and shown to our table- not given a menu or asked if we’d like to order a drink. The staff didn’t seem too interested in making sure their customers were happy or if they needed anything. After about 10 minutes we were asked if we’d like to order a drink and then another 20 minutes to be given the menu. Within an hour of being there, we still didn’t have our food. I ordered the pie and chips and it wasn’t the best- the chips were the best bit. Very disappointed overall as I’ve been here before and had no problem."

"Visited this place a few times as it’s one of the restaurants in our village it’s really welcoming and the staff are fantastic. Food is great, menu could vary a bit more especially on Sundays as if you don’t fancy a roast the options seem to be limited to just a few other mains, but you have to appreciate the food is fresh which more than makes up for it. Desserts are always changing which is nice the biscoff cheesecake was definitely a winner! Really recommend a visit and the booth tables are really comfy and nice."

"From reviews and recent experience of being unable to book a table for the place being fully booked, I was pleasantly surprised when i phoned last minute on the off chance and we were able to book a Sunday dinner around 2.30pm , being told there was immediate availability. On arrival as a party of four we were amazed to find the entire dining room empty. We were presented with a 3 course menu for 10.95. In our experience this is cheap. Starters were white bait, black pudding with crispy belly pork with apple salad, breaded goats cheese balls with chutney or tomato soup. Main courses were beef, chicken, turkey, lamb shank or sea bass. We ordered the crispy belly pork, black pudding and apple salad which i found inedible. There was nothing crispy about the pork, it seemed to be part heated, the black pudding seemed re heated, tasteless and dry and the whole thing was drizzled in something that seemed to be similar to pesto. Luckily my husband ate both our starters and he didn’t have much of a problem with it. My daughter was offered fruit as she suffers with dairy allergy and was happy with that. My son had the goats cheese which he enjoyed but was surprised the ‘chutney’ was more of a tomato sauce. When the mains arrived after choosing 3 beef,1 chicken we were all disappointed that the potatoes were very large and uncooked in the middle. The cauliflower was coated with an extremely runny white tasteless sauce and the Yorkshire puddings were not homemade. The beef was tasty and my daughter was happy with the chicken itself. Gravy was good as was the other veg including red cabbage. For dessert we ordered Eaton Mess,Sticky toffee pudding , Chocolate Brownie and again my daughter was offered fruit with having an allergy, she was ok with this. The Eaton mess was not as described, it did not have a selection of berries but was strawberries, shop bought meringue and whipped cream and ice cream. The chocolate brownie was as expected with Ice cream, no issues. And the sticky toffee pudding was ok, served with ice cream. All desserts were served with homemade cinder toffee which was a nice touch, however in my opinion, it would have been better to make the meringues in the Eaton mess before adding unexpected extras. Same with the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage, we would rather the potatoes were edible and Yorkshires homemade before making extras such as these. The waitress service was very good, attentive and efficient. Overall though, we were dissatisfied and we won’t be returning. Only one other couple dined later on, during the time were there. The atmosphere was cold and lacked cosiness compared to the bar area with its many customers and open fire."

"Generally open Monday to Friday. But we had a treat it was open Saturday. And we'll worth popping in. We sat down to some really nice coffees We all had a full breakfast. Childs breakfast, gluten free breakfast and a normal large breakfast. (The picture) The little one had a child's breakfast. 1 sausage, has brown, beens and toast she loved it. Also has a really nice strawberry milkshake with cream There is a gluten free option with sausages and bread. Including gluten free scones. Also cake if you needed it after. The big breakfast was brilliant and well happy with. In the cafe is old pictures of flint at different times. The old courthouse is an amazing bit of architecture. Old wooden beams and stairs. We'll worth a visit Vegetarian options: Had options available. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available and had GF toast and sausages for the breakfast Kid-friendliness: Had a full menu for children. And lovely milkshakes"

"We had an incredible experience at this charming tea room, with delicious food and exceptional service. We tried a full breakfast and a breakfast sandwich, both of which were absolutely delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our visit special. We highly recommend stopping by this place."

"Mum and dad 91 and 90.....stopped off after shopping to get fish and chips (probably one between them my mum drove and she went in as dad wasn't too good that day. When she had ordered and paid , the lady (I think it was a lady asked her if she wanted them taking to the car......mum declined the offer and said she was OK as she had parked in a nearby car park. I had to put a review here after mum told me over the phone. What a lovely person behind the counter, thank you for being such a caring and thoughtful person. The fish and chips were fab too."

"Ordered food at 5pm and received food at 5.30 but when got home order not right. I telephoned and was told no rice was ordered but I asked for rice and other side dishes. Refused to give a refund as food was now going cold and another trip was needed to go back to complain in person. Lady serving not very good at customer service and did not want to know. The manager was not in that night. The whole process from start to finish was shambolic. I eventually got another meal which was correct and very enjoyable. Will not be going here again if this is how they treat their customers."

"Avoid!! Visited yesterday morning with my family with three young children and a baby. Ordered at the outdoor window some hot drinks and multiple ice creams spending over £30 as placing the order it starting pouring it down we asked if we could sit indoors and were advised that we could. After taking our seats the manager then came out and asked us to leave as we had ordered “take away” we explained we had asked were told we could sit inside. Had at the point of ordering when we asked we’d been told we needed to place the same order indoors then we would have done! Instead we were kicked out to the pouring rain with the baby note the manager then also hid in the kitchen and left the young girls out the front to handle the situation. We are staying all week at the caravan park and will definitely not be returning."

"Horrible experience. The owners of this establishment need to complete customer service training. One morning I called in for a drink and to use their loos. Whilst paying for my drink I checked whether it was OK that I had left my car on their car park without paying the charge since it would only take me a couple of minutes to finish my drink. The female bar staff member confirmed this by nodding and saying I suppose so . I quickly drank up and vacated the car park as promised. Fast forward 23.5 hours and I decided to go here for another drink. Naturally, I left my car on the car park whilst I went for a quick drink, assuming this would be acceptable since it had been the previous day. This time I was desperate to use the loo so I went to the bathroom first. When I exited the loo I was rudely accosted by a grey haired middle aged man and a female member of bar staff who expressed their utter shock I was in the pub. Shouting they inquired how I had been able to enter the pub and told me they were closed until 11am. It was 10.45am and I told them the doors were open so I came in. They spoke to me in an aggressive manner as if to suggest I had broken in! After a short and heated discussion the older grey haired man asked if that was my car he had just put a parking notice on. When I went outside I had a rude note on my car demanding payment for parking. I had only been on the car park for less than 5 minutes, the time it takes to park the car, walk inside and then use a loo. I was intending on having a drink and even lunch here but after the way I was treated I decided to get out of the area altogether. This is no way to treat paying customers. I 'm certain the bar staff would have remembered me since I had been twice on the previous day. In the extremely unlikely event I visited again I would use the free 1hr parking spaces nearby on Gamfa Wen or use the Gamfa Wen Car Park which is cheaper at only 20p for 2 hours. This way I wouldn 't have to listen to the obnoxious owners of The Point Bar and Restaurant! Ps. If the owners read this then I would suggest you keep your doors locked when you are closed like most normal business owners do."

"Didn 't realise it was 2018 when we last reviewed Parivaar hence about time we updated. Visited on a Friday night on a rare 'no child ' night and did not disappoint. Nothing has changed (that is good) as exceptional food and lovely service by family members. Probably repeating myself although the specials are fab although if you want traditional that 's there as well. Always need to visit the cash machine as we never have a penny although not a problem and balanced by the bring your own alcohol as halves the cost compared to others and you choose what you like. We know the owners from here and the sister restaurant Quay Fine Dining which has just reopened after their unfortunate fire and always nice to have a chat and discuss respective families. Always struggle with the food as I like it all although when we visited in the summer my wife 's dish had run out but the chef came out personally to discuss alternatives and made her a similar bespoke dish which she really enjoyed. My favourite Indian restaurant is and has always been Cafe Spice Namaste in London although this is a very close second and on our doorstep! Thanks all. We will be back soon."

"Lovely breakfast here, served until 11.15, very reasonable price. The tea is very good and the whole place is spotlessly clean. All the people who work here are lovely, on the plant side and the cafe side. There were some gorgeous-looking cakes and the lunch offerings looked very appetising. The plants are very healthy, really good quality and something there for every budget and gardening skill level. Some particularly lovely trees on offer, apple, pear, quince, etc. The plant shop staff are very knowledgeable and kind about giving advice. Will be visiting regularly, it's a great experience coming here."

"Walked in and the girl behind the bar (wearing a coat still) didn’t even aknowledge us…. Took our drink order at the bar when she got to us and pointed our table out. I ordered a soft drink, they’re all just cans. My partner ordered a pint, it smelt of wet dog. The menus are big chalk boards by the door, so you have to stand and squash between a door and the bar to read the menu. The menus are big and look absolutely great. Unfortunately it was better on paper than on the plate. Ordered starters, took 30 minutes to come out. I had garlic prawns, they were on garlic bread which was soggy in oil and grease. Not what I expected and it was horrible. My partner had chicken kebabs. It was literally a slither of chicken on a stick. It was so dry one half fell off when he touched it with a fork. Next we both ordered the steak, £30 each. Sirloin steak, all the trimmings, and a sauce. My steak was AWFUL covered in lumps of fat and tasted of leather. My partners wasn’t much better. I ordered the peppercorn sauce, it was yellow, like custard and made me feel physically sick. ‘All the trimmings’ was chopped mushrooms, onion rings (basically no onion just greasy batter) and a bowl of peas (between 2) and a bowl of chips (between 2) I couldn’t even eat mine so they did offer something else, which I declined so they took it off the bill, which I appreciated until we could hear them slagging us off in the kitchen pointing out that the other steak was fine…. Toilets dead flies on walls, and I thought the toilet was grey but it was dust. Restaurant cold, holes in wall, heater next to us splattered in grease and food. Staff ok but need a waitress to take orders and treat it like a restaurant when paying £30 for meals! It’s not cheap, seems like they don’t actually have a clear vision for the place. Menus look amazing!!! Just need someone that can cook it."

"a nice pub, with a large ambiente a nice menu. So we wanted to book for a lunch, we made a rehearsal and found the pub as good as usual. So a week later we booked a table for a party of eight, some elements on the menus were not available, but there were other choise’s. but there was only one beer, and it was terrible. so our lunch collection was disapointing, and very little money was spent on alcohol. the food was ok, but in a pub for a pub lunch needs beer! we are gone"
