"I was invited to lunch during my business trip to Fribourg so we ordered the dish of the day but changed the appetizer and soup with a mixed salad. Bread came, very good brown sour dough bread with plain butter on the side. We had water for drinks. The salad came and was made of very fresh leaves (greens and otherwise) thin carrot and horseradish sticks tossed in a very light balsamic vinaigrette. After a bit, we were served the main dish: thick slices of perfectly roasted chicken with a selection of exotic vegetables and edible flowers all tossed in a very good gravy type sauce. The presentation was wonderful, the quantity were generous, the vegetable selection included top quality wild mushrooms, baby potatoes, baby yellow carrots, peas, spring peas, zucchini and more. The seasoning was delicate but first class and assisted with a mild dose of rosemary, parsley and oregano, it was a symphony in of color and flavor, in other words a top class dish that you'd pay much more for it elsewhere. We opted for the sorbet as dessert for both of us, and were served a single scoop of a delicate sorbet that I think was yogurt based. The espresso that ended the meal was more than first class not to mention very generous, this is truly one of the best French meals I had in a long time. The service is top notch as well and the place is very simply but artfully decorated. The cost of this feast was very reasonable (judging by the menu as I was invited)."
