"I should have known when I saw the flat tv screen with football on that we were in for a disappointing experience. It was quiet but not totally dead, but we realised quickly that most patrons were drinking rather than eating. Colours and music were...good, so we decided to give it a chance. Menu was short (not necessarily a bad thing) and included onglet aux echalottes (skirt with shallots). The two waiters (or was it one waiter and the chef doing waitering too, we weren 't sure) seemed more interested in the football than the customers and it was a good 5 minutes before we got our menus (at this point we should have left). Our meat and vegetables were reasonable, but the tomato and mozarella salad was dreadful (supermarket, freezing tomatoes and cheap mozarella). At the price charged of 20CHF , it is not acceptable, especially with Carouge nearby producing such tasty and affordable tomatoes. The waiter was polite but cold and obviously not bothered. As in too many places in Geneva, we felt disappointed and ripped off. Despite having just two tables of diners, the waiter ignored us when we tried to settle the bill and finally we had to get up to the bar ourselves, obviously disturbing their leisure time. If there ever was a manager or boss in there, we never saw her or hi. This place has the potential to offer so much more, but neither staff nor cuisine seemed a la hauteur . We won 't bother either and shan 't come back."
