"Café Cron Lanz in Göttingen is already known from childhood. There was a time when one could not imagine cafe visits as sufficient, too many older people (parents/parents generation) moved there. Times change. Today, Cron Lanz is one of my favorite gastronomic places in the city. Many former goddesses have the café on the top of the list for a visit to the old home. The café has a high recognition value, but is still very well maintained, not for instance sunk in the plush of recent years. It is a timeless café with cult status. And that's mainly in candy. I know the standard offer of these children's days. Appearance and quality are at the same level. I want to see who says that the former (or the last visit) looked very different or tasted. Precision work. Flagship is the tree cake that is classically raised in shape in rings, depending on the wallet at different heights, but also in from the outset smaller editions than half a tree cake ring or as a wonderfully suitable tree cake corner as well as a carrier. On Thursday there is only one special feature: It is also known elsewhere under the name Mohrenkopf (see photo) today’s “Othello” with its delicate bitter chocolate glaze and the juicy pudding core. For reasons of the alleged “political correctness” he was renamed “Othello” a few years ago, which is politically stronger than the previous term of office. Older operators still react to “Mohrenkopf”, younger no longer. You enter Cron Lanz, in the middle of the pedestrian zone in Weender Straße, through the sales room, whose shop windows are mirrored seven times according to the owner's name, to ensure an optimal view of the range. It happens that the snake, which forms on the right sales street, is on the road. In the treses there are the cakes and smaller pastries for which you can get bons if you want to eat them in the café area. It will be paid later in the café. In the middle part there is a vase in which chocolate boxes and jams are offered. In the left part, chocolates are presented for individual purchase in the sales strike. Behind the sales area is one of two cafés. The other – larger and more beautiful – can be reached via a staircase on the first floor. And here we are at a cliff for some insurmountable: If you cannot climb stairs, you have no chance to get to the upper café area. There's an elevator for the cake. It can be concluded that strollers or rollers are not desired here. It will not please everyone. Dogs and cell phone calls are strongly undesirable. This is also on the map. It should also prevent social games. You stop. It just doesn't fit. There is a newspaper assortment from Germany and abroad. Many regular guests have the café, many of which have their fixed times. Operators (exclusively female) are qualified workers. They are under the supervision of the owners who are equipped with a small rich charm. For the first time on Saturday there is also a strong operation. The repositioning time of the released tables is then less than one minute. Reservations are not accepted for these times. You can afford it. For the warmer season there is a limited outdoor area in front of the café to see and see and a glazed veranda inside the courtyard side, whose roof can be raised. Breakfast and smaller hot dishes (shower, pastries) are also offered. The prices are "not without", but it is also offered absolute quality. Beautiful sales packaging with the noble Cron Lanz logo make another packaging unnecessary. The gift vouchers are also very attractive as stylized euro notes.
