"I honestly expected amazing things when I ordered a custom cake for my boyfriend for his 23rd birthday. After seeing the amazing cakes they produce I put in an order, sending reference photos and description of how I wanted the cake but collected it today feeling like my cake was missing that amazing appearance I've seen from their others. I requested a cake covered in brick wall, only 1/3 of the cake has that on and the rest is just plain white buttercream, I also requested an amazing and colourful graffiti piece (shown in reference photo sent to them) to go on the cake! This was not portrayed at all... the graffiti is a small paper looking design, different colours than in the reference and completely different style/font, unfortunately nothing similar to the photo shown from me and this was honestly so disappointing. I paid £45 for a cake I was so excited to collect and gift to my boyfriend, only to leave feeling slightly ripped off and sad. I would've appreciated it more for them to tell me if they couldn't do the design I wanted and then I would've not ordered."

"I visited this caffe several times. once with my father, once with my friends and recently alone. all men of color. I have always found the personal or the owners to be very dismissed from me, rude and abrupt, but nevertheless friendly with all. Caucasian guests around me. they ask to clean my tellers away when there are still food in them, but not even an eyelid with those who have empty tellers and were there for one. the only difference is my skin color. I always feel excited and despised. I see the friendly tone they keep around with others, but I'll never be greeted in a nice way. they have been abrupt and rude at every occasion, and they make clear that they are. it is very frustrating for me as I am in the regular very passiw and the dinge let go and it takes a lot to complain to me, but I am very disappointed now. I felt this at all three places I visited and that was not only noticed by me, but by my company, without even mentioning how I feel! I am very disappointed as there is a nice caffe and served decent eating and coffee, so I have always tried to give this place a chance. I am not aware of whether those who run this caffe have a subconscious pretension or behave so consciously. I have all tried to give this place a chance and will not be visited again."

"Good food...when it finally arrived. We've been here twice now as a family of four. Both times there were spare tables so the kitchen wasn't overwhelmed but the service was so so slow! We thought the first time was just a bad night but after a repeat performance we definitely won't be coming back. It took 1.5hrs for the mains to arrive and we had to ask where they were. Every other table had eaten their mains so the kitchen was literally just cooking our meal. When I asked where it was, the young man asked another member of staff but noone bothered to come and apologise or update us as to where our meals were. Such a shame, nice food but won't be going back."

"We ordered a large portion of chips with a large cod but was horrified when we got home to find what looked like a kids portion of food. When you pay that much money you expect to get what you paid for but not with this restaurant clearly. The food was also under cooked such as the fish, saveloy and sausage that we had also ordered. To add to this nightmare the food was freezing cold. Furthermore, Considering we are in a Global pandemic and gravesham is currently so high for COVID cases, not one person who works here was wearing a mask neither were any of the customers. Furthermore no one was socially distanced. Do people not care ??? Back to the food.... Food is terrible, terrible and terrible !!! Need to lower your prices and make sure that if you state something is large make sure it is large."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse selection of dishes on the menu at this restaurant. I dined there in the middle of the afternoon and found the food to be excellent, the service to be quick and friendly, and the prices to be very reasonable. It was great value for the money and I would definitely recommend it."

"Great little diner, my food was great, my husband said his burger could have done with more seasoning but other than that great, prices are okay only thing is it seems a little rundown and the floor looked quite dirty (not sure if this was just the aesthetic or just not clean), i was also a little dissapointed as when i checked online before i came (i always check menues as i have food intolerances) and had previously chose what i would have and when i arrived they informed me that this menj was only available at certain times so what i origionally wanted wasnt available, I would reccomend the breakfast I ordered though which came with the tater tots,"

"I've lived in Gravesend for many years, and we had never tried this restaurant until now. I wish we had done so earlier! It was absolutely amazing. The service was fantastic; our waitress was polite and friendly. The food was even better, with large portions and incredible flavors. The chicken was delicious, and the lamb was cooked to perfection. We can't wait to return soon! Thank you!"

"I really wanted to like this local restaurant that others had recommended as authentic. However, I was quite disappointed. The special, lasagna, was not as expected as it was missing key ingredients like bechamel sauce and mozzarella. Instead, it was just lasagna sheets with ragu sauce and a few sprinklings of leaf around the edges. It was not the hearty, baked meal I was hoping for, and left me still hungry. The dessert menu did not appeal to me either, as I was looking for tiramisu or a creamy mousse like pannacotta. The only tiramisu available was in chunks with ice cream, served as a sundae. The only non-ice cream dessert option was a "sticky cake." Our table for four was cramped, with our knees touching under the table and not enough space for side plates. It seemed that the restaurant had a large booking elsewhere, even though we had made a reservation. However, the staff were friendly and our son enjoyed his margherita pizza."

"We went to Chattory around 6pm on Saturday 4th Feb 2023. We had not booked, and were the first people there, but it filled up during the course of our meal, so probably worth booking in advance. Food was amazing. We ordered tandoori paneer, tandoori salmon, mashed aubergine, mushroom saag, mushroom rice and chilli cheese naan. With two large glasses of wine each, plus tap water. All you of it was amazing, however My favourite was the paneer and the aubergines. And the cheesy naan. For dessert I had carrot halwa and ice cream the most delicious dessert ever! The halwa was warm and sweet and aromatic, perfect with the cold ice cream. Definitely recommend this restaurant great service too. 100% more authentic than usual Indian restaurants which serve anglicised dishes like korma and tikka masala. No vindaloo on the menu here!! Will definitely visit again."

"We had booked a table online at the cafe taj but when we arrived they denied getting our booking and were very unhelpful. So we walked a few doors down to The Shapla and asked if they could accommodate our party of 7. They were amazing, they moved tables round to fit us in and I'm so glad they did. We had a fantastic meal with outstanding service. Couldn't fault it at all and it was really reasonably priced. Will definitely be back."

"I love Thai food but rarely enjoy it because either it isn't authentic or it's freaking expensive. This place makes me enjoy Thai food the way I like it Authentic and Great value for money. The food is made and served by a great bunch of women from Thailand. They cook most food to order and they taste so authentic. We ordered: Spring rolls £3.50) which were okay not superb but okay. Prawn £5.50) and Chicken £5.00) Pad Thai which were so amazingly tasty and perfect quantity. Even the kids enjoyed eating them. Prawn Green curry with rice £5.50) yummy and wish it had a bit more Of the gravy as it want enough for the rice provided. Finished off with a milkshake £2.50) reminded me of the shakes you get in Asia. Tasty! The staff are amazing and friendly. They don't talk much but when they do they are polite and smiling. The seating is limited as they share a market. Located well. Parking is available right outside this market at £1.30 cash only for an hour. Overall I'm glad I found this stall. A bit away from Dartford but if I'm in Gravesend or craving for a nice Thai food, I know where to go!"

"my mother and I went here to Mother's Day and had a decent time. it was of course very busy, but still found that my waitress was engaged, attentive and helpful when it came to order etc. They did not look brittle, cramped or overwhelmed. eating is reasonable. they have a new menu and so comes now all listed with calorie counting on the page really eye opening see the calorie in the food. the menu tries to meet all nutritional requirements and as much as I think. we went to the salatable where a wet was willing to serve us what we have chosen, we were told that this is not COVID grounds, but more to minimize waste that is understandable. I chose three stacking chicken and mama for mixed grill that really a huge man size plate. it was nice, but she had to get a dog bag to take food she couldn't eat. I went for an apple and blackberry crumb, which was in order, but much too much sauce and not enough fragile to fit. it was a bit suppe like and left some of it after it had eaten broken part. I would just say that the cutlery needs a polish and glasses need to be cleaned properly. they look so cloudy and a little dirty. Moreover, it was a decent visit to harvester."

"We found the atmosphere perfect for a cozy dinner, exactly what we were hoping for. While the food was tasty, it did seem a bit pricey. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow, as we waited around 90 to 120 minutes from placing our order to receiving our main course. We were informed three times during this wait that our food was being prepared."

"It's many years since I'd visited this pub, but we'd driven past quite a lot lately, so decided to drop in for lunch. There was a very friendly greeting, and we were offered the choice of outside, or in the restaurant we opted for the latter . Service was prompt, and the drinks came quickly, but we were surprised how long the food was coming. That was because it was all except the meat in my friend's beef and beer pie, apparently braised for six hours cooked from scratch, and it was well worth the wait. Her beef, she said, melted in her mouth, and it had the most gorgeous puff pastry crust. My Hunter's chicken was also excellent. My one complaint ! was that neither of us could quite finish the food, and we had no room for a dessert! We'll be going again. Parking: Parking is available next to and behind the pub, but it's limited, and so they ask guests who live in the village or nearby to walk, not drive. There was enough space when we visited at a quiet time, but I have seen the carpark full."

"today for lunch with my son, he had a busy day when I had a day off. very warm welcome from the personal. we took on the table and were nice and clean. well ordered. all fresh hit and good quality. fish and chips for me and burger and chips for my son. had a great time. Eating was hot and radt, drinks were cold and served fast and the staff was so friendly. amazing service all around. I'll be back soon! thanks to all employees for a perfect lunch."
