"we were very disappointed by the restaurant we were looking forward to. we had reserved the table by e-mail. offered us a table in a very dark center, although the restaurant was still almost empty. after complaint we were offered a table in the bright. we ordered a filetsteak medium rare, we got a completely cooked piece meat, but it was still very tender. the teller was made sweetheart, an salad leaf or a disc tomate would have made everything more appealing. the red wine merlot was scary, but enjoyable, and all this at a quite high price. I think we as other guests can be dispensed with."

"Mitte März 2017 waren meine Frau und ich zum ersten Mal in der Kupferschmiede. Aufgrund einer Geburtstagsfeier eines Freundes, sind wir der Einladung gefolgt... Bei der holprigen Straße und dem matschigen Parkplatz (zuvor hatte es geregnet) haben wir uns nur unseren Teil gedacht... Mit dieser Stimmung haben wir das Restaurant betreten. Als wir zum Saal hochgingen, waren wir beide vollkommen fasziniert!! Die Stufen wurden liebevoll mit Teelichtern und Rosenblättern dekoriert. Bevor man den Saal betritt konnte man sich noch in dem großen und wunderschönen Märchen-Spiegel bewundern. Im Saal hat man uns herzlich begrüßt und sofort die Garderobe abgenommen. Sowohl der Sektempfang, als der Weinservice, das Essen und das leckere Dessert wurden perfekt abgestimmt. Auch die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend: Wasserflaschen und Gläser waren nie leer, die Wünsche wurden von den Augen abgelesen und auch die Teller wurden nach max. 15 sek abgeräumt! Das ganze Team hat in einer fröhlichen Art und Weise zusammen gearbeitet, dass man selbst als Gast den Spaß gefühlt hat und sich sehr wohl gefühlt hat. Vor allem die kleine und junge Kellnerin mit den roten Haaren hat mit so einer Freude gearbeitet, dass man an dem Abend (trotz schlechtem DJ) einfach nur Lächeln konnte!! Mit lockeren Sprüchen zu den leicht angetrunkenen Gästen oder die aufmerksame Art, wenn jemand Besteck o.ä. vergessen hat, hat sie zu einer ausgezeichneten Kellnerin gemacht, die man gerne in Erinnerung hat.Nicht nur wir, sondern alle auf der Feier fanden den festlichen Rahmen: Lage des Restaurants, das Essen und den Service hervorragend. So etwas sieht man selten!Zusammenfassen kann ich die Kupferschmiede einfach nur empfehlen! Wir kommen gerne wieder.Lieben Gruß Astrid und Jochen"

"we have just eaten in this restaurant in the village bavenstedt near the autobahn outside hildesheim. it was in the economical season and the very large economical was perfect. the food and service as well as the recommended wein were excellent. we ran from a hotel on the way to hildesheim via the carbahn. it took 20 minutes. the restaurant is definitely recommended, also as a stop at the autobahn."

"Im Mexcal wird Höflichkeit und Service großgeschrieben. Wir waren bereits 3x mal dort. 2x mit 9 Leuten und 1x zu zweit. Das Essen kommt schnell und ist sehr lecker. Das Personal nimmt Extrawünsche zum Essen entgegen und kommt denen nach. Die Auswahl ist recht groß, man hat viel Mexikanisches aber auch Klassiks wie Steak usw. Kartenzahlung ist möglich. Eine klare Empfehlung für jeden der mal was anderes als Schnitzel essen möchte."

"The restaurant was full but owner was v attentive and proposed to wait a minute and gave me table i was solo. I decided for swordfish w pinot Grigio. The fish was overcooked covered in tomato sauce and many many green olives from a...jar. Side salad was covered w balsamico why? There was balsamico on the table along w olive oil for everyone to dress the salad on their own. I don’t like balsamico for example. The dish was eur which is not cheap. Nice gesture i got grappa on the house ."

"We've visited Zum Maigrafen with our two years old child. The staff has been great, very kind with us and our child. The place looks a bit old fashioned but authentic and cozy. Although they do not have a kids menu, they offered him some small sized dishes. They also gave him some crayons and white paper. We tried the Pfannkuchen, pancakes, and they were great. "Just outside the city center this restaurant was a very good choice on a beautiful spring evening. The welcome was warm and the service very friendly during the whole dinner. We had a table on the terrace with a beautiful view to the river. Steamed...salmon and a vegetarian plate were very tasty. Local white wine excellent. Price very reasonable. It’s really worth of walking a bit to eat here"

"we were on 28.10.18 for Sunday brunch in alm. for years we were delighted with the quality and service. but on this Sunday a great fall. the essayer (big were out. we had to do 15 min. waiting for new tellers. with the dessert it was already to end at 12 noon. only a top plate with melons and annanas was passed. the cutting-edge braid was in 12 cm diameter uniformly cut press meat. the potato burin showed no color and was very liquid. for a 0.3 ltr. radler, one had to wait about 15 min because allegedly a new barrel was plugged in. we were very disappointed and will probably avoid alm in the future in this loss of quality. still a supplement to the service power. the young man was very nice and tried. he had no influence on the above-described circumstances."
