"I always look forward to dining here when we are taking a flight out of Heathrow. We always allow some time to come here when we are flying out of Terminal Two. Everything we order here is very special. This week, I had the granola and yogurt with added blueberries and bananas. My wife had a croissant and jam. We both had Americano coffees. Mine was so good I did not add milk and sugar like I usually do. In fact, I ordered another one after I finished the first one. Don't miss this place if you are in Heathrow !"

"I visited this restaurant for the first and last time. I ordered a bacon sandwich and sat down. After a few minutes, I realized that I hadn't specified what type of bread I wanted, and no one had asked me at the time of ordering. I went up to ask for brown bread, but was told it was too late by a unfriendly waitress who took my order. The sandwich was served on white bread and was not cut in half properly. The staff all seemed unhappy, and the person serving me had a bad attitude."

"I recently ordered from this restaurant and the food tasted really good. However, I was disappointed with the portion sizes, especially with the main curry bowl. I ordered a chicken tikka basket and the foil container it came in was only half full, with just 4 pieces of chicken. This happened again when I ordered yesterday evening. While the food and service were great, I believe that if they are charging £12 for a dish, they should be providing more substantial portions. I will give them another chance, but if the portions remain small, I will likely not return in the future."

"We had the (dis)pleasure of buying 6 dosas with sambhar yesterday as a takeaway. The sambhar was probably the worst sambhar we've ever had. It was diluted with water to increase the quantity that if they added a little more water in it, then it would turn back into in to water albeit, a yellow coloured water. I mean, if we wanted a diluted sambhar we could just add the water ourselves or have asked for a free jug of tap water. It had big chunks of tomatoes and no vegetables at all. The onions were cut in big chunks too. The coriander was just chucked in without cutting, someone who was so angry with their job just tore the coriander to pieces, took their anger out on the poor herb and chucked it in the sambhar. The sambhar tasted horrible to say the least and it only smelt of sambhar and everything that smells of sambhar does not make it sambhar. They probably added a dash of readily available sambhar masala. The dosas were too greasy and smelt of reused oils from their kitchen. The paneer dosa had a combination of paneer 65 and mashed potatoes and the Paneer 65 looked like it is from someone’s leftover plate. We will never be ordering from this place ever again. I can write more detailed review but had to cut it short as a visit to the loo was necessary as a consequence of eating their dosa-sambhar and still a day later I am a regular to the loo. Never again!"

"I arrived here on Saturday afternoon with 14 8 year olds for some hot food after spending some time in the woods. Vince and his team had kindly laid out a large table for us and prepared hot food and drinks for us all....They were super kind and patient as these kids were balls of energy. It was the perfect end to a great day and thanks again to you all for being so flexible and helpful helping me to arrange. Vince even handed out ice lollies as a treat after eating the hot food which was more than I asked for. All in all everyone had a great time. Its a great location but more importantly great staff. Thanks again."

"very nice family café. deco to today, very clean place with a very friendly staff. eating was very good. I had builder breakfast set 1. it was very good and it came on the table quite fast. I can't see how I could give them a little less than 5 stars. it was a good meal, served in a clean modern place, at a very competitive price on a friendly wise. exactly what they expect when they eat in the breakfast café. credit where credit is due. will definitely be back. thanks to all in the griddle diner"

"Firstly, please let me congratulate the staff on their attentiveness and professional approach. The two ladies serving us were friendly and very competent. Unfortunately, the restaurant lacks any sort of ambiance. We were a couple and there was one other table occupied with a seating of 4. We were sat in what is quite a large dining area that is completely soulless, with no music and minimal decor. Just not a very nice place to eat. We ordered poppadoms which were covered in onions and herbs which were spicy and very good indeed. Ordering a bottled beer, I asked if it would be cold and was told it would be. Having had many issues with restaurants serving tepid beer in the past, I realised that there was draught available and opted for that. Low and behold, IT WAS WARM! UGH! My partner had a cold main which was great, and I had a curry which was supposed to be spicy but alas it wasn 't, with the cubed chicken having the texture of having been frozen. Although not a great first visit, because of the staff I will definitely give it at least one more visit and hope to be able to give it a much nicer review."

"I would like to highlight the exceptional service provided by a staff member at the airport restaurant. Her name is Flora and she was wearing a pink t-shirt with the Heathrow logo. As I was enjoying my dinner, I noticed a family of three struggling to fit at a small table meant for two. I offered to swap tables with them and, in the process, accidentally dropped my soup spoon. Thinking that Flora worked for the restaurant, I asked her for help in retrieving a new spoon as I couldn't leave my table unattended. She kindly obliged, despite not actually being an employee of the restaurant. She returned with the spoon and reassured me that it was no trouble at all. To my surprise, she also brought me a small muffin, explaining that she had taken an extra one for me. This act of kindness truly exemplified genuine hospitality. Thank you, Flora, for making the beginning of my long journey unforgettable."

"The ambience of this restuarant has diminished slightly as I think it has been re-decorated since our last stay in 2016 and now looks a bit more cafeteria like. That was the only negative we experienced though as the food for the evening meal (pie and chips) and breakfast (full English) was of a high standard and very tasty. Only minor quibble with the breakfast was that streaky bacon not back bacon was served but that is just my personal taste."

"An absolute welcoming and friendly lady owner. Very hygienic and tidy. Food taste great almost like home food. Soups are just fantastic . Make sure you try it if you visit (different soup everyday). Sandwichs are various and you can ask for anything you and make up you own selection and the lady will work the magical fingers to give you a yummy sandwich. A very cosy place with limited seats but a lot to offer. Prices are very affordable for what you get. Honestly cheap. Tea coffe juices chocolate bars jam honey chocolate spread soups breakfast all day pasta salads chicken beef ham fish sandwiches fruits cakes biscuits croissants. .. etc you name the place is good for your quick bite on a daily basis. "Three of us went today for the all you can eat buffet. We booked on 02088487341 and gave a vague idea of the time we would arrive. They do buffet on Mon and Wed noon till 8pm. £9.95 a head! It was freshly cooked and we had 8 different foods served. Samosas, lamb stew, cheese filled potato, rice, chilli con carne etc etc. Totally delicious, lovely staff and a secure garden the size of a football pitch. Fab for all, but especially for families. Our son is 27, but they told me that for every paying adult, one child under 12 gets free food on buffet days! Unreal. Definitely going back. Ample free parking outside. The Music Box is a special venue."

"I come here regularly with my daughter we used to live down the road but have now moved about miles away but still eat here every few weeks. The service is great, the ladies are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble....Food is always lovely, coffee is spot on and my daughter loves the slush puppies and babychinos! Would definitely recommend."

"This restaurant is a beautiful spot to enjoy burgers and pasta. We sampled the vegetarian and vegan options and loved everything we tried. The manager was very helpful in recommending dishes. The atmosphere is lovely and guests are sure to enjoy their experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The dining area and restrooms are tidy and clean."

"I have been coming to Franks coffee shop for more than fifteen years, it is like a bit of history. I’ts just off the Main Street, going into the underground station and still has the furniture and look of a cafe from the seventies. Even the guilted paintwork on the glass is something to see. The milky coffee served here is the best outside of Italy and the doughnuts are like I remember when I was a kid. The food is good and price even better. My favourite is a traditional breakfast. Service is amazing, they are so customer friendly, you think of times when the customer was king, they still are here. It’s not posh or dark with expensive tables and artwork and that’s why I want to mention Franks. Cafes like this are few and far between. Please use it and keep it going, it really is a one-off."

"I visited this restaurant on Saturday 1st February 2020 as a party of six. What a dreadful experience. After finishing starters it took a further 45 minutes to get mains. When they arrived, one of the dishes was cold while the prawns on another dish were still in their shells. By the time shells were peeled off, the pasta on that dish was cold. On this particular evening there was a singer/guitarist who was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation with my friends. I spoke to the manager about our experiences and his response was 'I 'M NOT BOTHERED '. I am not easily offended but the customer service at this restaurant is nothing less than appalling. To make matters worse they had the cheek to add a service charge of £13.00 on the bill and this was after I had complained to the manager. I have never experienced anything like this before."

"My wife has had a gym membership at the hotel for almost 30 years and is a regular attendee. As part of her membership, we received a voucher for a meal at Orwell's Restaurant in the hotel. We used the voucher last night and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as well as the excellent service provided by all staff members. Since it was a weekend, the hotel was not very busy and they were offering a reduced menu in the restaurant, which we were informed about upon arrival. The service was top-notch, the food was well-prepared and beautifully presented. We plan to return mid-week when the full menu is available with our next voucher. All staff members were fantastic, but special mention goes to Muriel who greeted us with a warm smile, and Kennedy, our waiter who made sure everything went smoothly."

"The presentation is good, but they need to improve the quality of their food. The atmosphere of the place is fantastic, but the dining experience was below average. The cocktails were not enjoyable. Perhaps it would be worth giving them another chance once they have more experience in running a restaurant professionally."

"A few weeks ago we went in as a family Of 4. Came home and checked bill and they’d charged us for a bottle of water that THEY had put on our table and we’d never opened and a mojito we never ordered!! We called them up to explain. Mr Singh was adamant that we had ordered the mojito and argued, we then remembered they had CCTV and asked him to check and very suddenly, he remembered it was the table next to us! He apologised and my husband went the next day to get our refund. Following on, we thought we’d give it another go as he had rectified his mistake and we ordered take away. I went In to collect it and the restaurant was jam packed! So much for rule of 6, there was up to 10 people at the back tables. We brought food home and it was not nice at all! The Karahi chicken was sweet, the daal makhni was bland and the naans stodgy. We gave it a good go and tried to support the local place but won’t be going back"

"After checking in at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 at 06:00 on a Sunday, we needed a solid breaky and tea, but without spending more than 20 for four people. Most of the restaurants in Terminal 2 consist of more posh and more dine-in options. The joy that we had when we walked up to Eat and saw a wonderful spread of fresh baked croissants, miniature donuts, pastries, yogurt, and other breaky foods 1.50 to 2 for average price of a single bakery item . At the till, they also sell breakfast baps and porridge, although the bacon on the bap was quite salty. Tea and coffee also available for purchase; the English breakfast tea was a fare trade provider not your standard Twinings or PG Tips . Bottled smoothies and juices also were available for purchase. Thank you, Eat, for giving us an affordable, quality option for food before an early morning flight!"

"I was desperately searching for some Mexican food on the Terminal of Heathrow airport, and not finding any, I finally settled for the Giraffe Stop. I had to wait for about mins in the queue to get a table. As most of the people might be in a hurry, they have a policy to serve you your dish under mins. I must say the service was pretty quick even at full occupancy.I was having a headache and I finally ordered a Halloumi and Falafel burger. It was simply great with a bowl of fries served alongside. Took the fresh Kale and Apple juice. It was a booster to help me relieve my headache and nausea. I was satisfied with the meal and sat there for half an hour.I'd recommend this place when on the Heathrow Terminal Do stop by for a quick drink or a quick-bite. Although, you might not want to opt this if you are looking for some peaceful place as there will be a lot of disturbance around here."
