"Went here with the boyff for dinner on a Saturday night. As soon as we got here we went to the bar and got served immediately by a really friendly chap. The price of drinks was good. We decided to sit in the eating area and mull over the menu. We both went for the chicken and leek pie in an Italian white wine sauce. We ordered our food and about twenty odd minutes later it arrived. Darn, it was very good. No microwave chicken that tests your fillings, but proper chicken (if that makes sense) and plenty of it too. The sauce in the pie was awesome, the winter greens were yummy. I was totally stuffed and the boyff had to finish it off for me. The lady that served us dinner was smiley and happy and believe it or not seemed she actually liked being at work! The decor was nice, comfy chairs, great service. If you 're a smoker they actually have an outdoor log room type place with heaters. Which goes to show, although it 's a dirty smelly habit, there are smokers, so come rain or shine they can have a fag in a dry warm area! It had a feel of a local to it, and such friendly chirpy people. We are definitely going to go back. It 's got a 5* for the relevance of other places like this that come nowhere near the mark! Top service really yummy Yorkshire-type food, just a really lovely place to have your dinner or a drinks!"

I used to drink here years ago and upon passing it recently we decided to pop in for a pint and a bite to eat... Sorry to say that the food was mediocre and the service was a bit poor (It was quite busy) To say the food was rubbish woudl be a lie, but for the cost, I would have expected better to be honest.

Nice and relaxed pub/restaurant in Chorleywood, Herts. It is part of a high end chain, but this a good thing as the food is of good quality. It also doesn't feel like a chain, as there's no obvious evidence of this. The fixture and fittings are modern and of a high standard, lovely atmosphere and a great place to meet girlfriends.

Many years ago, this was a fabulous pub with superb food. Ate Sunday lunch here today. Everything was okay, the meat was nicely cooked and the trimmings were not plentiful but reasonably interesting. Mediocre at best. Puddings a huge let-down. Standard British setup: over-priced, over-sold, and underwhelming, but vaguely polite attentive staff.

Popped in for a simple family lunch. They were attentive and service was quick and efficient. We asked 3 times for a highchair and they kept saying they'd bring one, we finally fetched it ourselves but it was a hopeless childs booster seat. Food was simple, good, cooked well and prices were average. We were sat outside on a sunny day but were swarmed continuously by wasps which was irritating. Recommended for a casual lunch and drinks.

Located between the hospital grounds and the Holy Trinity church, this restaurant is a pleasant find. As someone who recently received treatment for amnesia at the hospital, I approached a girl at the bar and joked, "Do I come here often?" The pub has a modern interior that is surprisingly spacious. They offer affordable meal deals, such as a three-course lunch for £10. I tried the fish and chips, which was decent but not as good as my local take away. The fish wasn't completely white and was quite oily, but for £6, I can't complain. The dish came with mushy peas and tartar sauce that had mushrooms in it, which wasn't to my liking. I also enjoyed the breaded mushrooms as an appetizer. They h...

One of my favourite pubs! Its an Ember in so part of a chain but I love it. Its homely and pretty big so you can usually find a seat somewhere either on a nice sofa by the fireplace in winter or on one of the benches outside in summer. Only thing lacking really is a proper pub garden as the outside tables look out onto the main road but there are also a few in the car park area that are marginally better! There is a quiz on Tuesdays and Sundays which is popular and a good laugh! Bar staff friendly enough but I sometimes feel on a busy Saturday night they are not always brilliant at knowing how needs to be served next and I get overlooked! It's still my favourite local pub though. The food is...

We stopped by this charming little pub in the middle of our country walk on a Sunday afternoon. We had reserved a table for two ahead of time, and it was a good thing we did because the place was quite busy. The roast of the day and the pies were both delicious. I opted for the game pie, which came in a small casserole dish with fries and veggies. My wife tried the chili and enjoyed it as well. The portions were generous. We were seated in the dining area, which had a cozy atmosphere with low ceilings that made us feel like we were in a hobbit town. After our meal, we moved to the beer section by the fireplace, where we enjoyed a glass of beer with some locals. If the weather is nice, sittin...

The second visit was for lunch. They offer a variety of specials and set meals, but I opted for the Ultimate burger, which included two burgers with cheese, fried egg, lettuce, and tomato. It came with a side of coleslaw that I did not care for. The burger was served on a chopping board, so I had to slice it into quarters. It was a good burger, but I did not enjoy the runny egg. The chunky chips were soft, firm, and tasty. I also ordered a plum and cherry crumble, which was warm and delicious, perfect for a cold day. However, I was not impressed by the non-traditional topping of just sprinkled crumbs. Unfortunately, they did not have Mulled Wine available during the Christmas season, which...

"what a disappointment, never again. well booked in advance for a Saturday evening meal for three and was very excited about it. was in zaza both in bushey and in pinner and had nothing but good experiences, so thought it would be nice. to have a change of landscape in ruislip. how wrong I was. it was shown our table that was right next to the door and in the middle of the entrance, right where someone went to the restaurant that waited for her table, would float and not a suitable room to enjoy a quiet family dinner. I understand that the last years were challenging for restaurants, but even if they want to add some extra seats in less than ideal places, they should at least warn their patrons before they book them. When I asked if we could be moved, I was asked what was wrong with the table and when I pointed out that the unpleasant edification was welcomed by apathie. I asked if we could be changed to one of the many other empty tables in the venue and said that they were all booked, but that we could wait to see if someone was gone I had booked our table week to be clearly offered the worst place in the house and then essentially treated like an inconvenient walkable to ask left an extremely acid taste. I found the personal I spoke to be cold and quite rude. feeling frustrated and unintentional, we decided to take our business elsewhere and received a warm greeting and a beautiful meal on the road on the mamma pink."
