"We have just come back from a 4 night stay at Gasthof Christophorus and can happily recommend the place. We stayed in room 10 which was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean with a comfy bed. What more could you want? (Okay, a double duvet on the bed, rather than two singles would have been nice but that certainly didn’t spoil our stay). Breakfast was help yourself, with decent choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese meat definitely set us up for a day on the slopes. The evening meals were really good, three courses with a choice of main each night. The Wiener schnitzel with salad buffet was a particular favourite of mine, but all of them were good. We were seated at the same table for each meal which was a great way of meeting other guests and we quickly made friends. The bar was lively on an evening, especially popular on live music nights. Smoking is allowed in the bar (as with most other bars in Söll) which is quite unpleasant when you’re not used to it (following UK smoking ban), but this is personal preference. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Christophorus. We were made to feel welcome, all staff were very polite friendly, our room was cleaned every day, always plenty of hot water and importantly (when it’s 6 outside) the room was always warm cosy. We would definitely consider returning in the future and recommend it to people wanting a good value hotel in a perfect location to enjoy Söll."

"Large group on a skiing holiday in Söll booked via Crystal for a package holiday which included meal vouchers for dinner (choice of 3 restaurants). This is obviously a popular restaurant from the amount of people every night. This gave us hope that it would be good given that the previous nights' restaurant had been a slight let down in food but lovely service, and the 3rd choice had no room all week (side note be warned if you go with a large group as you will need to book in advance) When we arrived, we waited a good 15 minutes whilst they prepared the table. This wasn't so bad, but the lack of information wasn't great. Our vouchers allowed us a starter, main and dessert and yet when we asked, unlike the other restaurant we could choose anything under a certain amount, Doff had a set menu given that we had a couple of vegetarians in the group, the set main of pork wasn't exactly ideal, and the manageress was surly and obviously annoyed when we questioned it. Eventually she allowed us to choose otherwise but we had to pay extra for this. This happened everytime we went. Due to the limitation of 2 restaurants, we had to come back to Doff a few times and I do have to say the food was very good and big portions (a little expensive though). However the general customer service was absolutely awful. All the staff didn't appear to care about anything, maybe it's the Austrian manner but boy oh boy, we were made to feel very unwelcome twice they didn't even provide a chair and tutted when we asked. The same waiter (that has been mentioned in other comments) repeatedly got the orders wrong, seemed to take the mick at what we ordered, even rolled his eyes a few times at us. They quite evidently hate the voucher system, and will try desperately for you to have the most expensive meal or drink so they can make more money. Update: the manageress even told us on the last night they will not be continuing the voucher system! I work in customer service and this was quite frankly, appalling. If we had had another option of restaurant, we would've taken our money elsewhere. The food was their only redeeming quality."
