"I arrived at the Stenna Building at 14:45 hours for an expeceted 15:00 boarding but was told that only passengers with RT tickets could board before 5pm(1700hrs). I had no breakfast at my hotel and was starved and with heavy luggage Langengrad was my only...option. Upon arrival I was told by the bartender that the kitchen closed at 2pm and doesn 't open again until 5pm. I asked politely what sense it makes to close the kitchen in a Stenna Building restaurant when folks are waiting for boarding and then opening it after they get on the ship? I was told that they don 't get many Stenna travelers in there. I hope mgt reads this because I want to ask if they 've ever heard of selfulfilling prophesy? I asked if I could get anyting to eat, any snacks or chips. He said: No nothing Kitchen is closed but you are welcome to relax and have a drink and wait. Relaxing on a couch I was tormented by the sight of 2 or three workers coming in intervals from the kitchen with plates of food and stuffing their faces in front of me at the bar. There were only 3 other customers in the place yet it actually took half an hour before the waitress asked me if I wanted a drink. She only came back for a second trip when it was time for me to leave.As I picked up my check I noticed a hand bill on the table. It read Waffles available from 1400 to 1500. When the waitress returned I asked her about this and she said the kitchen is closed but we serve waffles between 2pm and 5pm. I then asked why the bartender told me nothing was available not even snacks and her reply was I guess he didn 't understand you . I should have asked why it takes 2 hours to get 1 beer. The only excuse for an experience like this is extremly poor management. It it is ashame because it is a beautiful place with great views but you can 't eat scenery."

"Grundsätzlich finden wir das Lokal und die angebotenen Waren nicht schlecht. Dafür vergebe ich gerne 3 Punkte als nicht Veganer.Was uns aber zum wiederholten male wirklich ärgert sind die nicht eingehaltenen Öffnungszeiten.Wir sind gerne mal abends in Kiel spontan unterwegs um hier und da eine Kleinigkeit zu essen oder zu trinken um den langen Arbeitstag schön , entspannt ausklingen zu lassen. Blöderweise sind wir schon dreimal eine Stunde vor der an der Tür angeschlagenen Öffnungszeit vorbei gekommen und trauten uns schon fast nicht mehr hinein, da schon fleißig geputzt wurde. Unsere Nachfrage ob es noch etwas gibt würde bejaht . So freuten und entschieden wir uns für zwei Stück Kuchen, einen Kaffee und einen Latte Macchiato. Kuchen ist kein Problem aber die Kaffeemaschine ist schon geputzt, da die Küche ja auch schon zu sei. "????????"Eine Stunde vor Schließung des Lokales finden wir schon sehr früh, genauso wie das Geputzte während. andere Gäste im Lokal saßen .Da fühlt man sich nicht wirklich als Gast sondern eher als Störenfried, der dem Personal den Feierabend versaut. Das hat wenig mit gelebter Gastronomie zu tun. Genauso sind die Öffnungszeiten für ein Café am Wochenende ab 12 Uhr etwas spät um hier nach dem Einkaufen ein schnelles Käffchen zu genießen. Ich denke das wir nicht die einzigen sind denen das auffällt und hoffen das sich das schnell ändern wird, damit auch wir hier eine golden Bewertung abgeben können."

"the restaurant is centrally located and it has good choices of vegan and vegetarian. the products are well labeled in their menu with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and diary free labels. I tried the falafel tahini option there and the fresh juices, green smoothies and the brownies (the gluten-free were). the portions were generous and filling. my impression was that this is the place to go if they want to eat healthy when they are in the center of kiel. I liked that the place is a combination between a caffe and restaurant where I could enjoy the breakfast (if they have their breakfast after 10 o'clock), lunch and dinner. I personally classify the restaurants that offer vegan/vegetarian options in two groups: those who know how to cook vegetarian/vegan, know what vegetarian/vegan people like to eat in the rule. I will call this real vegetarian / vegan eating. cook in the regular meat dishes and also have a vegetarian / vegan only for the lack. eating is actually badly tasted and has little food and the ingredients used are too few to meet the standards of a complete / healthy vegetarian / vegan diet. I will call this pseudo vegetarian/vegan food. dean david belongs to the first real category. the menu is missing an English translation. However, the personal speaks English and you can manage it without knowing German. you can also eat and order in the internet. "I learned from this restaurant through the TV show: Rach is looking for Germany's favorite restaurant. It won the Steakhouse category and was second in the final of all categories. When we were back in Kiel, I thought I wanted to give my own opinion. We hadn't reserved, but we were there very early in the evening. We were welcomed nicely and we were told that we were lucky that a table had just canceled, otherwise all tables were reserved. The restaurant is not very large, but very finely decorated. As a rule, there are 2 tables that can of course be put together on larger tables in French. There are comfortable armchairs and padded benches on the wall. Almost everything is held in Turquoise – Petrol sounds and above all in the eye a large silver bullhead falls. It works on one and at the same time very modern, lounge-like. Very nice are also the toilets friendly, bright and clean. The menu is a Mediterranean trip focusing on beef and fish. There are also about 3 dishes from the day ticket that the service requires verbally. Then we order Beef Tatar classic for 11,50€, the Homestyle Burger Pastis for 13,50€ and the marine triology for 14,50€. A Fritz Limo (2,80€ and a house brand Medium 0.5L at 2,50€. The latter is not the house wine, but a table water from the line still or mixed with carbonic acid. There is also a long and wide explanation on the map. Unfortunately, as we were under time pressure, we informed ourselves that we would like to get the dishes served quickly in succession. This was also fully fulfilled, which we liked very much. The Tatar came on a large glass plate that cooked a nice little baguette. It has already been done what I found a little bad, as I would have liked to taste pure beef. It was very strong and sharp, but very tasty. The Beef Burger came to our table with thick pommes and a small Coleslaw together with the marine triology. I could even book a table on the same day, but it was obviously the last for this evening. When I came to the restaurant at 8:00, almost everything was occupied. The same service personnel were again present. This time they were only two. This has definitely not damaged the service. I was very accommodating again and felt very careless again. This time I decided again for the marine triology (14.50€ as an appetizer, but it was something changed. As the main course of the Entrecôte (21,50€) and as a dessert the Crème Brûlée with Pistazieneis (8,50€). For my palate it was so many and it wasn't a sharp thing I could hardly taste. A pleasure. The crevettes had to be freed from the shell and, together with the Limonie Majonaise, also very good. To clean your hands, a bowl of water and lemon was provided. Entrecôte with Thick Pommes and Sauce Bearnaise You can choose meat that supplements you want. I had thick pommes and saucebärchen. I rarely ordered the meat medium. When it came, I had the feeling that it did not have this degree anywhere, as the piece had no constant thickness. The incision revealed it. Where it was thick, it was perfect. A very thin line on top and bottom gray and the rest delicate and medium rare. Where it was thinner, it was medium. Small beauty mistakes, but this has been whispered at a high level. It was seasoned with coarse pepper and salt. The Pommes enjoy a very chessy and beautifully soft inside. And also fully aromatic. Crème Brûlée with pistachios ice The evening was finished by Crème Brûlée. It came optically in an elongated bowl and was a very neat part. It was delicate and very vanillig, the sugar layer was very delicate crispy and garnished with delicious fruits. The Piztazieneis was creamy and aromatic, but I don't think I would have used it. Conclusion Second visit: Renew a culinary delight, a noble ambience, a very good, attentive and fast service, a very good value for money and everything without being raised."

"Finger Weg von den Spare Ribs! Schon interessant, welche Motivation einem überkommt eine Rezension zu schreiben, wenn man echt Wahnsinns Hunger hat und dann so eine Enttäuschung serviert bekommt ;D Aber hey, immerhin ehrlich und eine Rezension da gelassen Solange es hilfreich und unterhaltsam ist, hat es sich gelohnt Es folgt eine zweiteilige Rezension, aufgeteilt in die Phasen Fassungslosigkeit und hilfreicher Inhalt. Beginnen wir mit der Fassungslosigkeit: Heute hatte ich die Spare Ribs probiert. Für beinahe 11€ erhält man 5 kleine Rippchen, die in meinem Fall 205g auf die Waage bringen. Nach akribischem Abnagen (hungergetrieben) blieben exakt 80g übrig. Somit kommt man auf 125g Schweinefleisch, serviert in viel Würzung am Knochen. 11€ für 125g Schweinefleisch, alle Achtung, das schafft nicht jeder. @Mundfein: Ihr habt clever die Angaben zur Menge der Spare Ribs auf Eurer Website und in der App verschwiegen, sodass man nicht abschätzen konnte, ob die 11€ Investition sich lohnen könnten. Dies macht ihr offensichtlich nicht zum ersten Mal, wie ein Blick auf Euren Cole Slaw Salat verrät. Dieser ist weit mehr Verpackung, als Salat und dort sucht man auch vergebens eine Antwort auf Größe bzw. Menge. Dies wäre wünschenswert, damit man weiß, ob man potenziell satt wird, oder ggf. etwas anderes, oder mehr bestellen sollte. Bitte verbessern. Falls Eure dufte neue Preispolitik bei gewissen Speisen mit möglichen Defiziten bzgl. der Pandemie zutun hat: kommuniziert das offen und ehrlich. Dafür hätte ich weit mehr Verständnis und weniger Probleme einen Preis zu zahlen, der offensichtlich nicht in Relation zum Produkt steht. Indem ihr aber die Qualität und Quantität gleich lasst, oder reduziert,oder aber den Kunden uninformiert stehen lasst, gewinnt ihr keine treuen Kunden (alte chinesische Weisheit.) Nachdem ich die herbe Enttäuschung verdaut habe zugegeben, es gab ja nicht so viel zu verdauen- folgt nun der Hilfreiche Inhalt: An diejenigen, die Bock auf Spare Ribs haben: Kauft zunächst besser woanders. Die Spare Ribs von Mundfein schmecken in Ordnung, sind aber viel zu teuer bzw. zu wenig. Das geht besser. Die Ribs bei John's Burger schmecken sehr gut, sind wesentlich größer und allgemein ist da einfach mehr fürs Geld drin. ... Leider nicht immer verfügbar. Eine weitere Alternative wartet auch häufiger an den Wagen der Hähnchenverkäufer beim Supermarkt. Mehr kann ich Euch leider noch nicht empfehlen. Für alle, die keine Lust auf Rippchen haben: Die kleinen Brötchen mit diversen Füllungen schmecken echt gut bei Mundfein. Der Knobi Dip ist lecker, nicht wirklich scharf, sondern eher mild. Die Hähnchenschenkel oder Spieße schmecken ebenfalls gut. @Mundfein: Gut gemacht. Üblicherweise benötige ich 1,5-2 Speisen, um hier wirklich satt zu werden, aber das variiert von Person zu Person bekanntlich. 15€ für FastFood zum Satt werden empfinde ich als zu viel für die gebotene Leistung. Betrachtet man hier z.B die genannten Spare Ribs und einen Salat, landet man teils bei gut 20€. Das ist einfach zu viel. (persönliche Empfindung.) Besser ist es natürlich selbst zu Kochen, noch besser frisch (noch so eine alte Weisheit.)"
