"I have been a customer of Cafe Asia for a long time and I usually have a decent 7/10 meal. However, I often have to wait for a long time, and when this happens, the food is usually soggy and below standard. I live half a mile away from the restaurant and I order from them about twice a month for a meal for two, costing around £40. They are quite expensive and I recently found out that there is a delivery charge of almost £3 for deliveries in town. Not only are they charging high prices for the food, but they are also making money from the delivery charges. I spoke to a delivery driver and he mentioned that drivers are often asked to wait even if an order is ready, so they can deliver multiple orders in one trip, sometimes as many as 10 orders at a time. This means that the first order ready can sit around for up to 20 minutes before being delivered, and then it can take another 15-20 minutes for delivery. This results in customers receiving food that has been sitting around for up to 35-40 minutes after it's cooked. Cafe Asia can make up to £30 in delivery charges for a trip that only takes 20 minutes, while paying their drivers less than £10 an hour."
