Excellent food, room, service, but quiet expensive for hotel guests

Superb food and service in a beautiful setting...perfect for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary celebration

Food was great, the pub is amazing. Steeped in history and a great place to spend an evening. Tom's service was top notch, he's a perfect host! Can't wait to return.

Stepping back in time, a warm welcome to a very cosy atmospheric space. Service lovely, relaxed. Staff busy and multi tasking. Menu basic for lunch, I had tasty curry pasty and local cider.

When we visited, there was no food on. Drinks were served reluctantly by the barman, who didn't want to chat. It was probably an off day, but the atmosphere was great. It was a shame that there was no food as we would have stayed for a while. View menu

A very special experience that you would want to keep for very special occasions a wonderful opportunity to dress up, to celebrate all things elegant, to soak up the atmosphere of a bygone era topped off by very attentive, polite staff. We all loved it.

We popped in here hoping for a quick soft drink before leaving the wonderful Burgh Hotel. However we were greeted by the most unbelievably rude young man behind the bar. Now I know we all have bad days but this guy took the biscuit. Perhaps pop in to take in the history and just hope he’s not working that day.

My friends were new to the hotel but loved its look feel and the music dancing. The cocktails food were delicious, Gary Flo's attention charm were delightful welcome. The lower stars were for an unsmiling member of staff who was grumpy and who did an eye roll when asked for another teaspoon. Overall though a wonderful set of memories made for all of us. View menu
