"we had a secret escape break after friends recommended us amberley castle and we were not disappointed. when we arrived, as many people with lunch or afternoon there were no places in the parking lot, this was soon solved as the reception told us where we left our car and we left the key with them and our car was moved as soon as a room was available. our room was amazing, all the staff are excellent and make sure that their stay is the best possible, and what can I say exceptionally. amberley castle is not cheap, but they will certainly get a good value for money when they have a special celebration, this is a place that I recommend and hope to return a day."

"I received a voucher as a Father’s Day gift and had the choice of this venue or their Glasgow restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. I chose a traditionally Scottish meal on this visit, while my wife opted for a more traditional Italian dish. Both meals were great, as were the sticky toffee pudding desserts. Despite skipping starters due to our smaller appetites, the portion sizes were just right - we felt satisfied without feeling overly full. It had been many years since my last visit to the restaurant, but it was just as good as I remembered. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"Living locally allows us to visit this restaurant at a moment's notice and enjoy the beautiful views of the estuary on a late summer day. It is ideal for avoiding the tourist crowds. We chose to sit inside and order from the bar terrace menu. The service was exceptional, with water provided for our table. Despite our waitress admitting she was new to the venue, everything was very efficient. We had a variety of small plates to share, including fries, lamb kebabs, duck salad, and Thai balls with dipping sauce. Everything was delicious, except for the duck salad which lacked crispiness and quickly became soggy. It could benefit from added texture, such as small wraps. The prices were a bit higher than expected, but the food was tasty and well-presented. We, along with other guests, asked for the air conditioning to be turned off, and our request was promptly granted. We are excited to try their Indian tasting plates, which seem to be offered annually and are highly sought after. We will have to book quickly before they sell out."

"A fabulous Italian restaurant great atmosphere, fabulous service and food, and lovely staff. A group of six of us had dinner there on Saturday night after seeing Abba Voyage and when the staff heard where we had been they put Abba music on! It was my birthday and although no one in our party had told the staff they overheard us talking and made my dessert extra special with a huge sparkler. We had a great night and will definitely go back."

"What a find this place is! This is food about as good as it gets and the menu is ever changing based on what is locally available. The menu is simple and perfect, a choice of a 6 course or 8 course tasting menu; with a wine pairing option. They will happily alter to suite vegetarians etc. Everything we had, from a light broad bean and mint velouté soup, 20 minute sugar/salt cured fresh mackerel blow touched to crisp the skin, local beef and two deserts was outstanding. The staff were very professional, knowledgable and helpful. Decor is modern, clean and very attractive. There is absolutely nothing I can say negative about this place. Apparently others feel the same way, it is becoming extremely difficult to get a reservation. Interestingly the kitchen is open and a hive of activity. Steven Edwards (an award winning British chef) and his team clearly know what they are doing and are not afraid to experiment and surprise. For example; bread is a light, warmed brioche bun with a glossy Marmite glaze. Absolutely stunning, especially considering I do not like Marmite! My wife, daughter and me spent a very enjoyable 3 hours dinning at Etch and left very happy and pleasantly surprised. The 8 course tasting menu is not over indulgent, just right for anyone with a normal appetite. You may have noticed all my reviews to date on Yelp have been 5 star, this is deliberate. Life is too short to focus on that which does not make us happy. This is why I restrict my reviews to those things/places that make me happy and appreciate life. Sure, I have been to some really awful restaurants, but, like I said, life is too short to spend time thinking and writing about them"

"The restaurant is situated in the Kimpton Hotel, and the decor and atmosphere are truly stunning. It’s a beautiful old building that adds a sense of history to the experience. The dining is tapas-style, with 3-4 dishes per order, and both the food and drinks were delicious. Service was a bit slow, likely due to the restaurant being quite busy, but this didn’t detract from the experience, as the space is very spacious. I can't wait to return and try their Sunday roast!"

"came in at 8pm on 29th august, bought my dinner and went to sit down. was told by a man sweeping the floor that i wasn’t allowed to sit. i said i had specifically bought food and paid the higher price to eat in so that i could use the charging facilities and have a place to sit. the manager came over and said that i couldn’t sit there because they were closing, which they weren’t for an hour. moreover there was already another group sitting, who had obviously finished their food a while ago and the manager seemed in no hurry to usher them along. the cleaner then proceeded to sweep and mop around me and the other guests which is fine he’s going his job but i know that in previous establishments that i have worked in, we don’t start cleaning and closing the store until the store is actually closed. might be good to review this way of operating an establishment. also maybe teach your employees a bit of kindness to allow customers to enter and sit in their establishment during opening hours. blond woman working there was not a nice person. food was fine, lacking in salmon in the poke bowl but what’s new in this economy."

"Our waitress was Rugile, who remembered us from our last visit and was very attentive without being in any way overbearing. The restaurant always has a really lovely buzz about it. The food is both exceptional and exceptional value. And even if we haven’t been there for awhile, the warmth of welcome is always generous. I also like the fact that you get to the time to enjoy your meal without being hurried. Also, the layout of the restaurant is such that you have space to enjoy your food without being crowded by other diners. We’ve been going to Cote for years And have never once been disappointed."

"I sat downstairs on a busy Friday night with two friends. The service was perfect. The receptionist was charming. Our waitress was attentive and skilful. We sat at a large communal table. She made helpful suggestions as we chose from the menu, kept our glasses topped up, produced all the dishes on time and was super efficient with our bill. I paid for a bottle of wine and we split the food bill. She gave us 4 separate bills without being asked to. The food was fine, the atmosphere civilised, exactly what you want on a relaxed night out"

"bookable for 3, which a child, turned to find over 20 people outside waiting for entry. from others waiting in wait, a mistake was found in the booking system so that all table bookings were accepted, but they did not honor any of them. it had come first, served first. over 20 minutes asked, and the feedback from customers who go, it was 2 hours to eat dinner dinner, since service was slow. even if we have made it inside, that a handwritten statement on the wall said that the card machine was broken, so that only cash would be accepted. was there with a child and had booked before the concert later in the evening. decided after 45 minutes waiting time that we had to go to another place to make sure we had a dinner before the concert. at no time has anyone from the restaurant talked to the people in the waiting queue while we were there. a great experience. will not be able to reserve table again if this is how they treat people."

"Lovely, stylish restaurant. Lots of seating with a beautiful rooftop bar. A beautiful place to meet, enjoy cocktails or anything from a wide and varied drinks menu, that like the dining menu, has something for every taste. Food is exquisite. Prepared to an extremely high standard and presented professionally with an unassuming flourish. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This restaurant is highly recommended. We visited on November 2nd,2023, on foot of a recommendation from a regular patron. We weren't sorry. We enjoyed the dry aged burger, fries, fluffy, light focacia bread and, onion rings. A glass of red Portuguese wine and sparkling water. We didn't finish eating everything, obviously, but it was gorgeous. No service charge, so we left a well deserved tip. "Having a coffee at this café was reminiscent of being in Tel Aviv. Noisy traffic, people speaking on their phones in Ivrit, orthodox Jews strolling by and a laid back atmosphere. Even the plumbing was very Israeli. The toilets were very clean but the taps were coming away from the sink. It was a cold day in August, which is definitely not typical of Israel and we were seated outside as a Covid precaution. The friendly staff did offer at least twice to turn on the external heaters which would have been nice, but when we left some 20 minutes later the heaters had still not come on. Well it's the thought that counts ....."

"The food took a long time to arrive; we had to inquire about it after noticing that 15 plates were waiting to leave the kitchen. Some members of our party were close to leaving due to the long wait, but an employee informed us it would be just five more minutes. The only restroom available was a disabled toilet, and our original server promised to notify us when it was free, but that never happened. When our food finally arrived, it was decent, but the mac and cheese was nothing like what I had seen on Instagram—it might have suffered from sitting under a heat lamp for too long. I don't blame the kitchen for the delay, but it was disappointing that no one brought the food to our table in a timely manner. It's a shame that our visit did not meet our expectations, especially since we were looking forward to it. Overall, the service put a damper on our experience."

"What a delicious dover sole I had. The salad was really fresh and the king prawns in olive oil and garlic sauce was impressively tasty. Toilets are immaculately clean, the owner is polite and attentive. Really fancy set up and service. Dont you love fine dining? "The staff were all extremely pleasant and attentive without being too intrusive. Due to the restaurant being fairly empty, we had multiple members of staff with which to deal, though this just ensured speedy service rather than errors being made. Whilst the menu choice was not the best, there were a sufficient number and type of dishes from which to choose, so that everyone in the group (4 of us) was happy with the options. The tapas portions were large enough that we all had a decent taste of each, and apart from the traditional Pide (which received no likes) the consensus was that the food was tasty All in all we had a very enjoyable meal, which, with a cocktail each and two bottles of wine came to a very reasonable £225 (with service charge) ."

"we only had a great experience at farmacy tonight! the most important courses we had, creamy coconut curry and falafel waffel, were perfectly prepared and presented, tasted amazing and had just the right portion size not too big and not too small. the chocolate brownie sundae was a perfect dessert, great for sharing with a loved one. the alkaline booster smoothie and digestive soothers were wonderful companions at the mealtimes. the atmosphere in the restaurant was pulsating and very friendly, and the staff had a special radiance to the maître d' rudy, which was super sweet and helpful. we will definitely be back when we are in town, it is the best restaurant experience we had in london!"
