"I wanted to love this restaurant given the reviews, but the experience just didn’t warrant an above-average review. The food was good, but the wait staff did not provide attentive service. On the positive side, the mountain view from the front terrace was lovely. The food was tasty; it wasn’t exceptional, but it was very good. I had the pork schnitzel in a mushroom cream sauce with noodles, and my husband had the veal in a similar mushroom cream sauce with rosti. We both started with the carrot ginger soup; that was also quite good and a nice portion. The trouble was, the wait staff seemed more concerned with turning over tables than actually providing service to the people already at the tables. After we were seated, it took about 15 minutes to get any service, and that was only after we flagged someone down. The food came very quickly, but then we lost the waitress to her frenzied table cleaning and preparation. We sat for another 25 minutes after we finished eating. Again, we had to get their attention. We were going to look at the dessert menu but threw in the towel. In terms of delicious food and great service, the Hotel Silberhorn Restaurant was so much better."

"We visited as a family in August. The restaurant is on the a nice path going out of the village. It was full by the time we arrived but they managed to accommodate us about 10 minutes later, which was very nice. But then the...unthinkable happened: my elderly (80 year old) mother wanted to join us at the table and failing to realize she was with our party, despite the fact that we said we were a party of 5 and only 4 at the table, the owner was extremely rude to her. She is an oncology patient and still needs to wear a mask and when she tried to explain she was with us, she was yelled at by the owner that she couldn't and that he couldn't understand anything with the mask on. I have never seen anyone so rude in the hospitality industry. It is totally unacceptable (even if he thought he was right, which he was not -he just did not understand we were together) to treat an elderly person like this with such disrespect. So I have to echo other reviews that mention the rudeness of the owner and it was a big let down nearly ruining the day. The food was ok but nothing spectacular."

"the best Indian restaurant in wengen! eating was good, but limited menu. no naanbrot! as from Great Britain, where there are many qualitatiw high quality Indian restaurants, I was disappointed by the content of the menu. "I have eaten here before and remember really liking it. Recently came back for a 10 day stay and when they said cash only, we initially walked out. Came back days later with Euros (they accept that and US along with Swiss Francs) and so glad I did. As I remembered the food is exceptional. Szechuan Chicken was incredibly tasty. Green Curry Chicken was also really good. We also ordered a Pak (Bok) Choy vegetable dish for the middle to share and it was perfectly cooked and delicious on its own. We have one full day left in Murren and now we must go back and eat here again. I wish there was a Chinese place with food this good in Orlando, Florida where we live."

"Ich habe über 10 Jahre im Baren gegessen. Das Personal ist sehr effizient und auch sehr freundlich. Die Menüs sind umfangreich und decken Schweizer Spezialitäten, lokale Gerichte und Fisch sehr gründlich ab. Die Weinkarte ist groß. Es ist schweizerisch, also nicht billig, aber vor Ort bietet es ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Steaks sind ausgezeichnet, das Fondue ist noch besser und alles in einer fröhlichen Atmosphäre. Sie müssen wirklich buchen, besonders in den Hauptsaisonen."

"e best rosti we had even after 10 days in the Swiss trip. the rosti is crispy on e outside n company on the inside. the twill sauce is fragrant with some of the twills still crispy. Sausage is juicy and with only one real amt of the cheese. this is a short distance from the train station small scheidegg and with fantastic view. service is also fast. a true reward for the end of hiking"

"We were very excited to visit this restaurant after much research but we were running late after getting caught in the rain on a hike. We called to ensure they were still taking customers since we read last order was 8pm. They said hurry, even though it was 7:25 pm. We arrived at 7:35 pm. When we arrived I reminded them we were coming for a very special birthday to which the waitress replied yes, yes, yes in an annoyed fashion. I was a bit caught off guard. Once seated and given menus many things sounded great but we had seen some specific dishes we researched online and weren 't sure which they were. When the waitress came she almost demandingly asked Are you ready to order?!? and we said yes but wanted to see what dishes these pics were. She looked and immediately said sold out...that one is sold out too. I asked if she could tell us what the names were so we could pick something else. She did say what they were and so we went to pick our meals quickly and she said Come in guys! Help me out. I was soooo offended. This was to be an expensive very special dinner and she was soooooo ride to us. And I 'm not a sentive diner...she flustered my family and then made them feel embarrassed and greatly disappointed in a dinner we had been looking forward to. I will say this...the food tasted AMAZING. But I 'm still blown away at the rudeness if the waitress. It wasn 't swiss efficiency...just horrible rudeness. If your dinner isn 't for something special then go here...the food was incredible...but if the event is special...go somewhere else."

"Good Italian food with reasonable prices for a high mountain tourist destination. Unfortunately, this restaurant is flawed by mediocre service. We visited this restaurant twice. The first time, the serving team seemed haggard and understaffed but service was passable and friendly. However, we noted the staff had no tolerance for guest requests: multiple people in ear shot of us requested table changes or menu substations and were universally denied. On our second visit, it was clear the staff forgot to put in our entree order we waited over an hour for a vegetable pizza (with several gentle reminders from us) while tables seated long after our arrival received their orders all around us. The best we got in explanation was sorry we are busy tonight. Outdoor seating is available, but in high demand. Take out pizza is on offer (probably the smartest option given the above mentioned issues with service). Generous desert options. Good kids menu (although with pizza on offer it 's hard to go wrong for kids). There was excellent live music on the terrace during our weekend visit. Wine selection was good, beer was all bottled, minimal mixed drink offerings. The restaurant is attached to a bar of the same name. The bar has a simpler but similar menu. However, we learned that the bar is not open during the summer season. That was not immediately obvious from their website. Bottom line: I want Da Sina to be my go to family restaurant in Wengen, but it is marred by mediocre service and an inability to cater to its customers..."

"Just ate at Flavours again today. Ate here 7 yrs ago and then another time before that. All 3 times had to have the burger and each time everyone in our group had different types of burgers with the fries. EVERYONE either liked or loved the burgers. IMO they are the best in and around Lauterbrunnen. Also enjoy the atmosphere and the people that own and work here are always so friendly. The only thing off in all my visits was today we sat outside and gosh they need to clean those outside chairs off a bit but who cares the people watching was fun while eating an awesome burger."

"Bevor ich dies schreibe, habe ich die negativen Bewertungen gelesen und freue mich, Ihnen mitteilen zu können, dass unser Mittagessen sehr gut war und wir keine der Probleme hatten, über die einige andere Gäste geschrieben haben.Wenn Ihr Hund bei Ihnen ist, ist dies der Ort, den Sie besuchen sollten. Beim Betreten gibt es Futter und Wasser für den Hund. Es gibt eine Hundekarte mit Hundesnacks zu vernünftigen Preisen. Das Hotel hat sogar eine Hundedusche.Wir saßen also an einem schönen Fenstertisch und der Kellner bringt als erstes einen kleinen Teller mit Hundesnacks und etwas Wasser für den Hund. Menüs für uns folgten.Wir genossen einen schönen lokalen Rotwein und ein gutes Bier vom Fass. Wir hatten Gulaschsuppe, Kürbissuppe, einen großen gemischten Salat und natürlich ein traditionelles Raclette mit Salzkartoffeln, Gurken, Knoblauchzehen und einer Beilage Wurst. Ich träume immer noch von diesem Raclette. Es war ausgezeichnet.Unser Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und angenehm.Ich komme in ein paar Monaten wieder nach Wengen und freue mich auf ein weiteres gutes Essen in diesem Restaurant. Vielen Dank an alle Mitarbeiter, die dies unvergesslich gemacht haben."

"I completely endorse the review by @117Krsitind. This place is tired and needs a complete revamp. It is probably going to get it as it is shut for about six months later in 2024. Yes, the windows are filthy so taking photographs from the revolving restaurant is a waste of time. The food is very average and as expensive as you might expect it to be at the top of a four separate lift mountain. Our service was very good once we got to our table but the fight to get our reservation was, frankly, dispiriting even though I had written confirmation. You do not get the 360° view but as @117kristind mentioned there are better view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau lower down at the Birg relay stop. One nice feature is, on the open air deck, there is a free telescope which is both powerful and has the neat trick of telling you the name of the mountain which you are looking at. Getting up there is very expensive but the SBB half-card works. You queue to buy the ticket and then you queue again for the lift. Be prepared to love your fellow man. The lifts hold about 60 people but with kids slipping under the barriers etc expect at least 70 people if the weather is fine. You can avoid the ticket queue by buying your ticket in advance using amongst other things the SBB app or SBB.ch internet or presumably at any railway station. There my be other outlets but I do not know them. Don't lose your ticket, you will need it at least once more on the way up and on the way down. All in all, not worth the money or the hassle. Luckily I live in Switzerland and may give it another go in a few years when the new lift is open and if I hear they have also revamped the restaurant."

"We were there twice. On the first day we had something to eat. The food was OK, but it's a shame that when you pay with a card you have to pay different tips starting at 10% and going up. In Switzerland they are Tipper included and mostly only rounded up or if it was very good. You give something voluntarily and you are not in the USA where tipper has 20%, 25% and 30%. That's where you start with this rip-off. On the second day at 4 p.m. we had something to drink and ordered something again. Since we were still waiting for our friends to order food. Then the waiter came to us twice and told us to order something to eat, otherwise we would have to leave again asked the boss because we had already spent over 150 Fr in the restaurant the day before and wanted to complain to him that something like that was an embarrassment. People who drink something want to get rid of it straight away. This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants in Switzerland. Boss has don't let yourself be seen either. It's better to go to another restaurant where the service is better and also speaks German."

"My husband and I really enjoyed our meals at Eiger during our recent stay in Wengen. Maybe the service wasn't exactly warm on our first visit (especially compared to our experiences in Italy , but the food was very good. I LOVED the green salad (so simple but so good! and the rosti and sweet potato curry soup were delicious as well. We ended up going back a second time for fondue and had a great experience, both with the food and the service. I would absolutely return."

"Wir waren im September für 3 Nächte im Hotel Silberhorn. Wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Haben 2 mal im Restaurant gegessen. Der Service sehr nett und kompetent. Das Essen sehr gut und schön Angerichtet. Frühstück mit genug Auswahl und sehr gutem frischem Brot. Trotz Corona sind die Massnahmen eingehalten worden und wir haben uns auch dann wohl gefühlt. Der Ausblick vom Balkon war sensationell. Die Lage perfekt zur Bahn und auch sonst ruhig und doch zentral. Wir können nur gutes sagen und würden dies weiter empfehlen. "Dropped by for late lunch to avoid the crowd. A young gentleman attended to us and his service was nothing short of excellent! My wife and myself ordered a pizza and a soup to share and both were really really nice and tasty. tomato soup was probably the best we had. pizza is soft and chewy! Although we didn’t had 2 main courses, this meal kept us full til dinner. Highly recommended to visit this restaurant when you are tired from the cold air!"

"Am 31.05.2021 waren wir erneut auf dem Jungfraujoch und der kleinen Scheidegg. Nach dem erschrekcenden Erlebnis vom letzten Jahr haben wir einen neuen kleinen Versuch gestartet und den Outdoor Bereich (Selbstbedienung) besucht. Wir wollten vor der Talfahrt gemütlich noch was trinken und was kleines essen. Schliesslich haben wir uns für Nussgipgel, Apfelkuchen (CHF 9.00 sehr teuer) und div. Getränke entschieden. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Für den Apfelkuchen wurde Sahne angeboten, die wir aber nicht wünschten. Dies war für die Bedienung ok bot uns aber die Option an, falls wir während des Verzehrs des Kucken doch noch Sahne wünschen, sollen wir uns einfach melden. Dies fand ich sehr toll und Kundenfreundlich. Ob die Sahne zusätzlich was kostet oder nicht, haben wir nicht gefragt. Ganz freundlich wurde uns auch verraten wo wir Besteck finden. In der Sonne genossen wir dann den wirklich sehr luftigen und feinen Apelkuchen und den leckeren Nussgipfel beides frisch und nicht von der 0815 Grossbäckerei. Entweder vor Ort selbstgemacht oder von einem guten Becker.Am Nebentisch wurden Pommes gegessen. diese wurden sogar (trotz Selbstbedienung) durch ebenfalls freundliches Personal serviert. Als wir gingen wruden wir sogar verabschiedet. So macht ein Besuch spass und man geht in guter Stimmung. Beim nächsten Besuch, so haben wir es uns vorgenommen, wollen wir dann das Restaurant mit Bedienung testen"

"Das Außenrestaurant im Hotel Jungfrau ist der perfekte Ort um sich zu sonnen in der Wintersaison. Sie haben tolle Kaffee, Glühwein, und Bier. Das Essen ist auch sehr schön. "The chef is fantastic. He is very creative with his dishes. Since we were cold from our walk to the falls and around town we were looking for a warm bowl of soup for supper and they had several on the menu that sounded good. We ordered two different ones, goulash soup and barley soup. The flavors and special touches such as fresh dill on the barley soup and roasted squash seeds on the goulash that made them outstanding in texture and taste, certainly out of the norm. The young lady that served us was so pleasant we stayed longer than planned and even had the best dessert of warm chocolate lava cake with fresh berries,whip cream and a vanilla sauce with toasted almond slivers. Needless to say we licked our plates clean. I highly recommend you try the Bell if you want a great eating experience. The new owners made a excellent choice in hiring the right chef and waitress that makes it a winning combination for their establishment."

"We stopped by to have a lunch before we caught the next bus from the Falls back to Lauterbrunnen. It was not busy at all and we went in and got our food cafeteria style. The food was tasty as we had ordered a couple sandwiches, deserts and drinks; the deserts were very delicious. We ate outside on the patio and enjoyed the wonderful views of the falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley. The service inside was average nothing exceptional nor bad and the prices were what you would expect to pay in Switzerland. If you are not hungry, the restaurant is well worth a stop for a desert or a cup of coffee while taking in the dramatic views from around the restaurant. The location is great as it is next to the bus stop and at the head of the trail leading up to the falls."

"We ate here our first night in Mürren because it was the only place that had open reservations. That should have been a red flag. We ordered a hamburger and the beef fillet. The hamburger was very obviously frozen and likely pre-cooked to well-done temperature so they were not made to order. We ordered the fillet medium and it came out very very rare, it was inedible. I am not the type to send my food back, especially in a foreign country, but I had to. The fillet had sauce on it and it was very clear that when they took it back it was just microwaved, but at least it was edible after that. I am giving two stars instead of one star because they did not give me a hard time when I sent the steak back. After this unfortunate experience, we were afraid to try any other restaurants in Mürren and went to the grocery store to cook pasta in our airbnb the next night."
