"Very beautiful building, the place is magnificent but the service is not at all up to the classification and even less the price. At 350 euros the boudoir suite is very beautiful but lacks a small living room, especially since a space is free and has no use. Empty and unplugged mini bar. Only one bathrobe available, we had to ask for a second one. Only a thumb dispenser dispensing a cleanser which acts as a shower gel and shampoo is available. No conditioner, even if you ask, no bottle opener, no shoe horn, no iron, no toiletries which is unthinkable for a 4* hotel. Same for a 4* hotel at 350 euros per Night, no porter, no umbrella available On our arrival, a pleasant receptionist (unlike one of the two waiters in the restaurant who is really anything but welcoming and really doesn't make you want to come back! . Clean place. As for the catering, it's simply catastrophic... a special roasting buffet evening was offered. What a disappointment to see what was on offer. Three meats that have nothing to do with grilling, more than basic starters (grated carrot, tomato, a little cold meats , and side fries. We made our comments following the dinner as well as upon our departure (because out of 4 people, three had a terrible night following very poor digestion... but no surprise for the people we visibly saw, which is a shame because the place is magnificent but you only come once, you don't get fooled twice... plus the publicity is quickly done unfortunately... This place could be magnificent, Laval being a pretty city, this establishment could attract a large number of people but for that, we really need to review the service and the catering, it is inevitable."

"What a great place. We spent most of our time and money here during our 4 day stay in Laval. We were greeted and waited on with 5 star service. Nothing was too much trouble. After the second visit we were given peanuts free of charge. We started out as a couple, but met other English bikers also staying in Laval (MotoGP), finishing off as a group of 10. We drank them dry of red wine (Cotes de Bourge) and Stella Artois. They even cooked food for 10 at 9:30 on a Sunday night and it was superb. If we ever go back to Laval we will definitely frequent again."

"Hello, we went there on the occasion of our wedding anniversary, from 12 to 14 Sept 2023, welcome top of everyone. Unlike what I could read, no problem with hot water, privatized spa with all the necessary. The bosses do all to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Beautiful terrace that deserves to be seen and exploited. The menus are correct ratio quality price and originality, quality of the products, very complete breakfast, I highly recommend, pleasant and smiling welcome, friendly place, excellent meal, well decorated room, after each tastes it is worth not to criticize so as I see on some coms, think to communicate, beautiful terrace, we will return to it on occasion with great pleasure successful wedding anniversary, thank you, pretty family, to the pleasure of the success. "We arrived luckily with a reservation at 1230pm which I scored at 10am that same day (probably the last table for 2. I had been to this restaurant 5 years ago with about 6 friends on the night in Laval where they lit the great illuminations all over this capital city of the Mayenne region. Today, years later and one day late for the illuminations, we were welcomed by the host (the restaurant was taken over 3 years ago or so, but the atmosphere/food/decor were the same. The menu was re designed and it was much easier to read (someone followed my recommanded course Menu Desgin 101* . We ordered a white wine to start our meal with (a nice glass of Alsatian Edelzwicker; served in an elegant Alsatian wine glass and a sweet dessert wine, but we switched wine glasses because my friend is not particular fond of sweet wines. My friend ordered the homemade pâté (which he liked and I just nimbled on a piece of this and did not order an appetizer. The service all throughout was efficient and friendly, in this bustling restaurant completely booked on this particular Sunday afternoon. The next dishes (with 50cl of Château David red wine were ordered with the appetizer: rumsteak with French fries and served with a béarnaise sauce and I ordered the special of the day (a duo of fresh cod and lobster, served with a purée of butternut squash and rolled up zucchini and carot slices . Of course, lobster is one of my favorite food to eat (back when I lived in the Norteastern part of the USA and it was served on a pre heated plate which I think is a must in a classy restaurants like this one. No dessert there was simply not enough room for it but the dessert list looked absolutely devine. Plus we did see some desserts going by and they looked heavenly. But we did order two cafés (a strong one and one with cream, and it looked like a cappuccino! served with a wrapped piece of dark chocolate. The bill came to almost 91 euros for 2. Although the ride of aprox 1 hour was maybe not too ecological, but it was definetely well worth it (again . Chapeau to the new team and owners for this brasserie tavern restaurant with many Alsatian dishes (e.g. Sauerkraut specials . We do miss having this type of restaurant in Angers (Maine et Loire region . Maybe an idea to open up one in Angers? ...."

"N As I don't know African cuisine, I asked the chief to surprise us. Not a bad choice, as it turned out. We had a fish and a chicken dish to fall! "Nicely located in a pedestrian area of Laval, very near to the Chateau. With good weather conditions you can sit outside, what is really recommended. A lot of nice ladies is present to keep your orders and bring what you like. Waiting times are not to long, red wine (Cabernet) is recommended, but they have also other drinks. The offered pizza are very thin, more like a flamee from d'Alsace, but crispy and very tasty. Although the pizza is much greater than the dish, you can fold it an eat it in a comfortable way. We had a starter dish, two pizza, several drinks and that for a good price. Nice, and next time again."

"We came to lunch a noon, the lunch menu is unique and complete with on paper, rather nice dishes: tajines, banana cake.. On the plate, it is another story, except the velvety of small peas conforming to the waiting otherwise tajine was nonexistent. It's first prize chicken without any preparation. I've been looking for the candied lemon... Sorry dessert but the cake was too cooked, made without butter and banana could not be found... Sorry, ladies, I stayed courteous in your restaurant but sincerely you are satisfied with your preparations! Good courage and good continuation. Very disappointing"
