"Shared a celebration meal with my husband here on 9th November. Been here alot over the years. Weather was atrocious so the warm candlelit interior was very welcoming. Food was excellent as usual. Good choice on the menu. Thank you to our lovely waitress Taylor. Friendly, efficient and attentive to all the customers. Such a lovely location overhanging the river, which was very swollen and fast running due to the rain. We were given a surprise anniversary sweet treat, arranged by Taylor. It made it a very special memory for us. We look forward to future visits."

"We stayed for one night in our motorhome,brilliant atmosphere, lovely welcoming staff,very dog friendly, food was really good to,really nice walk along the canal,peaceful at night on the carpark at the back of the pub,would highly recommend this place,booked to stay again in November. "A group of us went here for a meal during out motorbike trip around Wales. We had been warned that it was cash only, one can only wonder why!!! The waitress took our orders efficiently and the food came quickly. The place is quite big but was noticeably quiet. They serve large bottles of cold Cobra beer at £5 a bottle so not a bad price. The food was reasonably priced too. I had the Chicken Dupiaza and a garlic naan plus 2 Cobras for about £22. However, I and a few others, thought that the food tasted like the meat had been cooked separately and the sauce added from a jar or can which is probably, in essence, how most Indian and similar restaurants cook their food but in this case it did taste very artificial. Their one saving grace is that they openly displayed a price for each popadum and the pickles on the menu rather than just adding them to the bill as is usually the case in other places. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30"

"In the finest Italian tradition my dishes were prepared in the kitchen with fresh ingredients. I picked the Greek salad as starter followed by Penne Arrabiata. Normally it would be pizza for me but walking Offas Dyke I needed something more nourishing. The Greek salad was substantial being a meal in itself. My pasta was not an out of the packet sauce but made using red and green peppers with herbs bacon and a light tomato sauce. Definitely one to have if you like your pasta. For wine I went for the Pinot Noir and it did not disappoint. Service was attentive polite and efficient without being overwhelming. Highly recommended."

"Lovely tearoom. We had a full breakfast.... bacon, egg,sausages, beans, tomato, mushrooms, toast and a pot of tea. £7.45. Really enjoyed it and great value. I would definitely return again and recommend. The place was clean and tidy and sanitisers and one way system in place. Friendly staff. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that we were on a day trip so time was limited and although there were lots of staff, they seemed to be walking around a lot but didn't take our order for 15mins. All in all great experience"
