"We had lunch here before our canal trip and it was both delicious and generous. I had the Welsh steak sandwich, which was loaded with steak, and my jacket potato was light and fluffy. They also had a great selection of drinks. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back for dinner, especially since our other option was busy and wanted to seat us in a hallway! The dinner was also excellent—well presented and again, a generous portion. The staff was friendly and very efficient. My only minor complaint is that we weren’t offered dessert after our meal; there were some delightful-sounding options, and the cakes looked amazing. But maybe it was better for my waistline! I would definitely come back."

The service was quick despite being really busy because of the good weather. Good choices at reasonable prices. Two of us had the special breakfast with tea and two had soup and sandwiches. Friendly and attentive staff.
