"The experience was good overall. Unfortunately there was a few downfalls. The starters came out extremely quick and the sausage was overcooked (burnt). No one checked to see if the food was ok and the plates were taken away with addressing us. The mains were nice but WELL over seasoned, half way through the steak had to stop to take on water. We also had an additional dish put on our table that we hadn't ordered. I did say we would keep it (as it looked nice) but the waiter just took it away. the desserts were really nice and the non alcoholic cocktails were fantastic."

"The staff is always very friendly and friendly. Unfortunately, the steaks we received, both Sirloin, but one was very poor quality and fat throughout the whole piece, like a ribeye. Waiters tried to sort it our and new, but extremely boiled, I would say Rare best. We traded steaks because it doesn't make me too much. They removed this steak from the bill, which had slightly improved the evening. I hope it's a one-off."

"I often come to gaucho and to say I was disappointed last night would be an understatement. My fiancé and I both ordered fillet steak, well I have never seen a cut of fillet steak as flat as the ones we had and the taste wasn’t great either. The chips were over cooked and we couldn’t eat them, the peppercorn sauce was so watery and didn’t taste anything like peppercorn, I couldn’t finish my meal. I wanted to make a complaint on the night as I wasn’t prepared to pay for my main meal but my fiancé told me to rather write a review afterwards as he finds things like that a little embarrassing. The starter was lovely but you can’t really go wrong with bread butter and the dessert was also ok. Very disappointing as we love gaucho but we won’t be going back there in a hurry. I’m not sure if you have changed management, but a friend of mine said they went to to the one in Tower Hill not long ago and they were also very disappointed. Seems like a lot has changed which is a real shame."

"Being immediately after New Year and early in the week, the restaurant was only moderately busy and comfortably accommodated our party of 8. The service was attentive and the food was good, albeit expensive especially when one adds in side dishes [chips, vegetables etc] each circa £4 to accompany the main courses. My main gripe is that the wine list is expensive, with the cheapest wines at £35 and rapidly rising thereafter for wines that aren't particularly special, which in turn bumps up the service charge."

"New Years Day the restaurant was busy but didn't feel crowded, Groucho position the tables with respectful space. Our waiter was outstanding, he gave us so much attention from helping us with off menu cocktails and wine selection, to patiently talking us through the meat cuts. We opted for steaks, which came cooked to perfection (not easy to get medium rare perfect but the chef nailed it) with all the sauces which where equally incredible. Advice leave some room for dessert, Sticky toffee, cheesecake and cookie dough are all highly recommended."

"We visited Gaucho as part of an overnight stay to Manchester. We have heard amazing things about this restaurant and we were not at all disappointed. From the service, to the menu to the food and wine, everything was beautiful. It was a special occasion for us so we were there for the experience rather than thinking about a budget as it is a little more expensive than other restaurants but it was so worth it we would certainly visit again. Thank you for such a lovely visit x"

"I spent a wonderful afternoon in Gaucho with friends. We had a long relaxing lunch and we were not rushed in any way. I have been to several other London restaurants recently where the atmosphere has felt too clinical. I know it’s difficult in Covid times however we are still human beings and a warm friendly environment helps us feel special as well as being assured a “safe” visit. The service, the food and the atmosphere were all excellent. Well done Gaucho"

"We went as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children. I must admit the experience was pretty disappointing. The steak was a little over cooked, the chips were soggy (they must have been sitting under the heater for a long time) and the ribeye could have been a lot more tender. Burger was good value, chicken Milanese was over cooked. Service was great and ambience enjoyable. It’s a nice looking restaurant and a seat near the window is recommended, there is always something to look at. Probably won’t rush back."

"Went to Mestizo for a birthday party on the Saturday, returned on the Wednesday for more. Great to see a separate vegan menu and the staff were willing to remove cheese or other non-vegan ingredients from other dishes on the normal menu. Very helpful staff and very attentive. First time around I had the enchiladas de papa with rojas sauce. Delicious! A little spicy for me but the black beans and the rice really helped me with that! Second time around I had the guacamole then the vegetables slow cooked in a banana leaf. DELICIOUS. We also had a cactus ! salad on the side which they made vegan for me. Cactus is amazing tasting! Very happy to be able to get hibiscus tea in London as well. All round a great experience and delicious food."

"We booked a table to celebrate our friends birthday. The staff were all brilliant especially Denise who really looked after us. We had starters, followed by pizza and lasagne for mains.... all really delicious. Excellent wine list too. Denise brought a birthday treat with candles and the staff to sing happy birthday.... Thank you all so much for making our evening special x"

"The best steaks we have had in any part of London for a long long time and really good value. Excellent starters all large portions. Really efficient and friendly service but perfectly paced and no pushing to get us off the table. We were early 1830, but already a few tables occupied. By 1930 it was pretty well full and great atmosphere. Live music. It was worth going just for that girl singer/guitarist and really good guy on guitar with her. Neat, clean and clear well looked after slick decor. Can't wait to go back!"

"The restaurant and bar has a lovely atmosphere, and the cocktails are quite good. However, they were late in seating us, and it took 20 minutes for us to order drinks even after we seated ourselves. The food was disappointing; the seabass ceviche was overcooked and very fishy with little flavor. Overall, everything took a long time to arrive, and it was difficult to get the attention of the staff. The experience felt a bit chaotic and disorganized."

"I visited in March 2013 and compared to my favorite steak restaurant in Miami (The Red Steakhouse), I was disappointed that I couldn't find anything as good in London. However, now that I have discovered The Bull Steak Expert, this will be my number one place in the city! I tried the lomo, which was cooked perfectly with a pink, juicy interior that literally melted in my mouth. The meat was delicately seasoned, making sauce unnecessary. I also tried humitas as a side, a tasty Argentine dish I had never had before. Additionally, the Provoleta cheese starter was amazing (but let's be honest, when is grilled cheese ever bad?). I enjoyed it all with a glass of La Fraccion Malbec. The service was very good, prices were affordable, and the atmosphere was cozy, perfect for a casual dinner. I recommend booking in advance as the restaurant was full on a Friday. I will definitely be coming back!"

"We had difficulty finding the restaurant because of road works causing delays and diversions, so we arrived late but the staff were friendly and welcoming. I have been to the Coy Carp once before (pre pandemic) but my relatives were pleased by the canal-side location and historic feel of the building. We were allocated a table in a quiet area, which facilitated conversation for the older members of our group. The food was good, well cooked with generous portions. The service was good with pleasant and attentive staff. We very much enjoyed our visit and would return again if the opportunity offered. Thank you very much for a pleasant and enjoyable experience. "Very good evening meal with friends. Having been several times to steak houses in Buenos Aires, I can say Patagônia feels quite authentic to me. I ordered a steak rare and I would warn you that they really do make the steak rare. I like it that way but if you don't want an almost cold centre, order your steak closer to medium. I've eaten here several times and will continue to return."

"My partner and I walked a total of four miles to eat at La Plata Steakhouse, and it was worth the trip. We were warmly greeted on arrival by Joe, who was friendly, personable and obviously knows his steaks. The Sirloin steaks that we both had were very tasty and cooked to perfection and the accompanying sides were very good as well. The steaks were some of the best steaks we have eaten in the UK. We will definitely eat here again next time we are in the area. Thanks for looking after us so well Joe."

"it's my first time that a friend of this liley pub can recommend me. there were four of us who dimmed last night in the restaurant. that was excellent, beautifully presented and really delicious, so first I would like to thank the chef for the wonderful food we had. second emma, which served us a real diamond during our meal. great personality, professional and friendly. the pub is very clean, well spaced and has many comfortable sitting opportunities inside and outside I have made pictures, but could not eat too many inside due to people. all at a place that is not to miss is highly recommended"

"We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We decided to try the venison Wellington with dauphinoise potatoes, kale, and wild mushrooms, which we shared. As we waited, we enjoyed some homemade soda bread and butter, along with a complimentary glass of prosecco. The meal was superb and the flavors were delightful. For dessert, we both had creme brulee with rhubarb and shortbread, which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"Went for wings Wednesday with a few work friends. Arrived at the location and shown to our table. Took 15 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive after ordering with staff. This was because the only waitress on duty was having a chat with the kitchen staff out of sight and forgetting customers. There was only my group and 2 other tables so not a busy day. Had to wait 25 to 30 mins for food once ordered. When I ask the chef if the waitress was still working or was she on part time hours and gone home. I was told to be quiet and sit down and order with the waitress who was never around. The chef was very rude and aggressive. I could then hear the staff including the waitress Kat in the kitchen being disrespectful about the group and myself. I was then approached by Kat and challenged in an aggressive manner. My first brew dog experience. Safe to say I won’t be going back to any branch if is what brew dog is all about."
