"We have just returned from lunch at the Woodside. We have been here a few times over the years on and off but we haven't been recently and I can't praise the place enough. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were sat on a nice table by some patio doors and didn't feel crammed in like some places. Myself and my husband had a sharing platter to start which was really good. I then had the Korean chicken skewers with triple cooked chips and the most delicious slaw/salsa I've ever had. Usually when you get chicken skewers you get pieces of chicken breast but this skewer had three delicious whole chicken thighs. The chips were hot and tasty. My husband had the steak and Merlot pie which was a proper pie (not a stew with a lid on). He really enjoyed his meal also. It wasn't cheap but I really don't mind paying if the food is good, and it was. Will be returning."

Disappointing meal. Fatty steaks and highly overpriced for quality. Drinks are ridiculously overpriced also

A very pleasant restaurant with a great layout. There are many corners, nooks wars, corners into which you sleep. It feels smaller than it actually...

Service was very good (Jack was our server, but other interactions with the staff were equally as professional and friendly) food was nice too and lovely environment

I went for Sunday lunch with my husband, we both went for the roast beef. This was very disappointing the beef was overcooked, the roast potatoes were hard and you could barely cut them, the broccoli was so hard too. We won’t be coming back for the Sunday roast, especially the price for what we got.

An excellent experience allround. I haven't been here in some years but the place has clearly just had a refurb, it was very smart! Servers very friendly, food excellent. Really looked after us, brought the birthday cake out for my 80 year old Dad, took photos of us all. We thought it value for money for the quality of the experience.

Please be careful of the dishes coming out of the kitchen, I was there for lunch and touched one of the plates and badly burned my fingers! It was molten hot like touching the inside of a oven, immediately my fingers became raised blisters, the serving staff were so kind and gave me ice and a burns pad. But it spoiled my time as couldn’t really use my knife and fork and the pain was excruciating. It’s a real shame that the manager seemed indifferent and didn’t even check on me as I made it clear that I was hurt. NOT GREAT A LITTLE CARE WOULD HAVE GONE A LONG WAY. The service staff however were lovely. No kitchen should allow food dishes that hot to leave their kitchens, very dangerous. Worry...

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
