"My partner made a reservation at this restaurant before we went to see Christmas lights at the local garden center and wanted to have dinner beforehand. The restaurant appeared to be cozy and inviting, but unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. We were seated and asked for our drink order right away, which is standard, but then, within 3 minutes, a waitress approached us to see if we were ready to order food. With a 1-year-old child in tow, it took us some time to get settled and look at the menu. I requested 5 more minutes to decide, but the waitress passed by our table 3 times without coming back to take our order. After waiting for 25 minutes (and with a tight schedule due to the Christmas lights booking), I had to get up to find someone to take our order. When our food finally arrived, it was underwhelming and didn't justify the high prices on the menu. I ordered the curry, which was overly spicy and the chicken seemed to be frozen. My partner's steak, ordered medium rare, was closer to rare and didn't meet expectations given the high price. The only redeeming factor was the decent chips. I'm not from the area, but I wouldn't consider revisiting if we attend the Christmas lights again next year. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3"

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy ramp up to front door from neighbouring disabled parking spaces, but all venue doors are manual. Tables in foyer (with free dog treats! make manoeuvring between internal and external doors a little tricky, but the staff are so helpful and attentive it was all OK! One of our guests arrived late, but the staff were incredibly patient with us. Our party of 5 all thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service. The price per person was £30–40. We rated the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. Some recommended dishes included the Roast Beef Dinner, Signature Burger, Fish and Chips, and Chocolate Brownie. There was plenty of parking available, with a free parking lot option.

The dining room was cold and quite unpleasant to sit in we were in the direct wind tunnel of the front door which was constantly open. We did ask if the fire could be lit only to be told not at this time of night (it was 7pm) we then asked if we could be moved there were vacant tables, a member of staff went to find out and never came back with an answer . Food was overpriced and tasteless especially the chicken and mushroom pie, the chips tasted strange as if they had been cooked in something other than oil. The service was dire. "Hearing about a traditional fish and chip shop in Prestwich, complete with a restaurant and bar, and cooking in beef-dripping with the option for vegetable oil (call to confirm vegetable oil availability), I was compelled to check it out. Upon entering the shop, I found myself in the bar area, with access to the restaurant located upstairs. The bar was furnished with tables, chairs, and stools for those wishing to enjoy a drink or avoid the stairs. It is encouraging to see young people engaged in the fish and chip shop trade, potentially leading to more traditional establishments in the future. The cod, although slightly smaller than expected, was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chips were among the best I’ve had in a long time. The pea fritters, black pudding fritters, and tartare sauce were also excellent. In-house pies were available as well, so I sampled the cheese and onion and meat and potato varieties and can recommend both. There is parking available across the street and on-street. However, the opening hours might not suit those looking for a lunchtime meal, as at the time of this review, the hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and closed on Sunday and Monday.
