"very close to the farrintong station, average price (from Londoners) and incredible quality. highly recommended the bbq-tipped pork sandwich and cob salad, we also tried the strawberry smoothie and without words of how good it was. Being in an area of many offices since the half-day receiving a table is complicated. two options or you adapt to the local meal schedule, or follow with the Spanish and join your snack with dinners."

"I actually attended on the Friday for evening dinner. We were suppose to have gone again on the Sunday afternoon. But decided to give it a miss. I was not as impressed as I once was with this place. I have been here a few times and have enjoyed. But this time I did not enjoy the meal. Some of it was cold. I ordered Irish coffee. They got sent back times. First ones never looked right. Second one very cold. Third time was fine. Even the cheese board was very minimal."

"I haven't been with the bears head for a few years, but was pleased that it was just as good as I remembered. beautiful log fires and cordial greetings and a great menu to choose from. the suppe was delicious, but could have done with something more and possibly more brot. the minipuddings were also a great idea, but the eton mess was essentially cream and very little that was disappointed. but we will be back."

"The Staff were very attentive, The fact the restaurant has a good reputation ,I was disappointed that they had no Duck pate . I had Roast belly of pork for my main the presentation was good and the plate was hot. Unfortunately the pork was dry and a bit tough , it was not roast potatoes they were boiled, the veg was nice and colourful .The food was not hot it was warm as though it had been prepared on the plate and heated up. This was a special anniversary and for the cost it was disappointing. Had all these things been as it should have been it would have been a nice meal."

"Always a fantastic outing at wagamama: the prices may have inflated since I've last been, but it is 100% worth it for the quality of food you receive; I shared two sides with a friend (calamari and bao buns, my absolute go tos) and for a main had their new special, soba noodles with duck, which came out to £18 and was potentially not as big a portion as I would have liked, but again, it was beyond delicious. £26.50 for myself without tip, worth it for the experience but definitely not an everyday or budget dining option. Cheapest main on the menu was approx £12.50, for those who'd like to know."

"This is not the first time I have been to this restaurant and it certainly will not be the last. Amazing food, fantastic staff and a great atmosphere. From my parents in their 80’s to my 8 year old daughter, we were looked after, talked too and genuinely treated like one of the family. Kirsty and Jane are lovely ladies who work really hard here and are a real pleasure to see on our 6 weekly visits. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this wonderful eatery. "We had lunch at Browns, table was big and spacious and atmosphere in the venue very Christmassy. We had people coming in at different times and I appreciate if this was a little confusing to servers. For starters we had baked camembert which was outstanding! and other nibbles. Mains two people on the table ordered linguine which was blant and none of the servers asked if something is wrong when my colleague just had a spoon or two and was done with the meal. We had one guest who was vegetarian, she did not like anything on the menu, waitress agreed to request chefs to make mushroom risotto. She was glad, but when her meal came it was beetroot risotto, she had to double check with server again, why is it beetroot not mushroom risotto. Server took back beetroot risotto and brought mushroom risotto which also did not have much taste . Since we had to headback to work it was a shame that some of us had to leave still hungry. I had a pot pie which was warming and filling and enjoyed it. Wish we could all have a great time."

I tried various dishes and most were great. they have a student discount only on the 1st stage, which is 10% and they also have evening discounts 20% for the whole menu after 20:00 o'clock. they have with the same kitchen a restaurant below, in the cellar, called hiromi. hiromi do not offer students or evening discounts that are strange, and I want to find out if this is actually okay. in the ground floor restaurant they gave me 10% discount bc I paid cash."

"My friend and I came here mid week for a catch up and were so very pleasantly surprised! It was very big and spacious inside with lots of room between the tables so it didn't feel in any way cramped, it was also very busy for 5.30pm! There was an instant lovely atmosphere about the place and the minute we entered one of the waiters greeted us and led us to our table. Our waiter for the evening was very polite and checked on us after every course. "that was our favorite meal in brighton! the fish stew is absolutely mock up and the haw in blue cheese sauce is an absolute hit! not further dessert! my eton mess was exactly what I needed as a sweet note before the walk back to the beach near our hotel. the staff was also great, super nice and welcoming and still smiling, although the elevator was broken into the kitchen on this hot summer evening. we look forward to a return to brighton to try more dishes."

"Receptionist Couldn’t fine our Open Table booking, but they had plenty of tables available so not a problem, but might have been had they been busy. We chose the Sunday roast beef. Cabbage was a little on the cool side. Beef was quite fatty and fairly tough, considering that it was 28 day aged. "They came a long way from few years ago when a wee waitress with big attitude argued with me that fish is a vegetarian option. Now they have a separate vegan menu and the dishes I've tried were pretty good (chickpea burger, side of aubergines, free cider when you subscribe to their newsletter, also vegan), the place itself is very scenic outside and cosy and atmospheric inside. I was told that there is a vegan staff member working in the kitchen which I always find reassuring."

"We had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly. We used the taste card, which was 2 for 1. So saved us, lots of money. It was a limited menu and only had 1 Vegan option. Which I was thrilled at the choice . The chips were cooked in the same oil as the meat, so even they weren't vegan. I was left with a salad, which was literally just leaves and some cut up tomato and Burger. Which if you are Vegan, you do get sick of the only vegan options always being a burger (everywhere). They do usual have 2 vegan options but one was currently out of stock."

"My wife and I had a very nice lunch on Saturday, but I was not served what I ordered. The menu had changed recently and I was not advised of this when I ordered. I ordered a sharing platter which consisted of a selection of cold meats, rillettes, bread and a baked camembert with caramelised onions. This was still on the menu in the restaurant and also on the Cafe Rouge web site on the Internet. What I was served was six sausages, garlic bread, hummus and a baked camembert. It was nice but I do not think it was worth the same price as the selection of cold meats etc. I think the staff should have said the menu had changed when I ordered and I would have ordered something different. As usual the service was first class and all the staff very helpful and friendly."

"We have been here before and enjoyed the cote de Boeuf, and have also enjoyed the Reading restaurant. We decided to celebrate my wife's birthday here with family and were a little disappointed. We did have a problem with the slow service which is why I have marked it down to 3 stars. I don't like to do this because the waiter and waitress were very polite and pleasant but we were waiting for some time to place the first drinks order, so long in fact that I had to go and find the waitress. As the restaurant wasn't busy, we were very surprised at how long our food order took to come through, which did spoil our experience to a degree and did cause a fair bit of discontent at the table. I do like the restaurant, and there was no problem with the food or the ambience. We will certainly return and hope that the slow service was an exception."

"Having made a booking via OpenTable and receiving a confirmation email, 24 hours later had a phone call from Browns to say they could offer me a table at 5pm or 9pm but not at 7pm which was the time of my booking. No apologies just that the way it is. OpenTable just blamed Browns and said I could always phone the restaurant to confirm a booking, not seeing the ridiculousness of that suggestion as it renders their platform to irrelevance. So I am giving an all round one star, but to be clear we did not eat there."
