Cafe Rouge Bath - Menu

Cancelled two minutes before our booked time, apparently there was no chef, wasted taxi ride, told about the cancellation as we arrived, very disappointed.

Lovely chilled visit We had a voucher booked not sure what to expect Welcome was warm decor on point Food was good.. fresh lovely Staff were friendly helpful Voucher made it even more reasonable. Good option when in bath.

Ate here because I saw that they had Mussels. Had Mussels, fries and nice bottle of Bordeaux wine. Started with mushrooms in a beautiful sauce over bread. All were outstanding. Service was exceptional, Violeta was our server and she was friendly and efficient View menu

Food was mediocre but the way the senior staff treated the young lady was rude and unpleasant to watch. I think her name was Mia. Mia helped was pleasant and very accomadting. Cafe Rouge Bath please treat your younger peers with respect your on display for your customers to see and makes for an unpleasant experience.

Staff very friendly and helpful . Food unbelievably bad chicken burger chicken like chewing leather salad filling and Mayonnaise was a wasted effort for instants red onion consisted of one outer ring my wife’s was the same. Don’t go any were near very poor value for also the chips turned out to be fries hardly a mouthful what tourists must think l hate to think.

I really like Café Rouge and this was as elegant as I remember, and the service was brilliant; an actual French waiter! I just love the ambience, and it's so central but we were disappointed that duck wasn't on the menu: it was online. The chicken was great, beautifully cooked, but it just came with frys and I should have ordered a side salad. That's down to me but be advised by my mistake. Pity about the duck View menu

Awful, disappointing food. Beef Bourginon and mashed potatoes tasted like aeroplane food. Not very warm, obviously reheated in microwave. Beef was tasty but potatoes seemed really old. The side of green beans were obviously cooked from frozen. To charge over £4 for them is an insult. Apple tart was microwaved apple pie. I would have complained if I'd been paying but my companion was treating me so I kept quiet.

Visited cafe rouge today 18th April with family visiting from New Zealand. Was disappointed to see that many options were unavailable from the menu therefore reducing choice considerably. The only two available staff were slow and not engaging with a long wait to be seated. The restaurant was not busy at all so there was no pressure on staff. The food was mediocre noticeably small in quantity it was however hot. Over the years Cafe Rouge has proven to be vibrant with excellent service and food often our first choice to eat in Bath but sadly today I feel its past its sell by date. Management and owners take notice.

We've been big fans of Cafe Rouge, Bath since it opened, and have always appreciated its lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Obviously it's not haute, haute cuisine but good, French style food without too many frills. Today we booked a table for two, as our kids had given us a voucher at Christmas and we thought a Saturday night treat was in order. We expected the place to be busy, but it wasn't; and we noticed customers being turned away even though it was early (before 8.00pm) apparently because of staff shortages.
