"what a fabulous place, amazing friendly staff could not do enough for them. I think we cost more free samples of ice cream than we actually ordered. any taste they can think of, and possibly some that they don't. super clean, well personalized and fast service 3 very happy little youngs, mami, daddy and nanny. crepes were to die for honeycomb raspberry sorbet .Next visit already planned for tomorrow."

"I went to Albert’s castlefield yesterday, ordered the chicken. It came out incredibly dry and my friend ordered chips which weren’t cooked and were anaemic. No one came to our table to ask how the food was, only when we’d finished. I didn’t eat any of the chicken, I put some on my friends plate for her to try and she agreed. We spoke to a waitress at the end and she said ‘so sorry about that, is there anything you would like instead’ I said yes please il just have a dessert, sticky toffee pudding which was actually nice. When the bill came they’d put all the food on! I ended up speaking to what I’m guessing was the manager who said, I didn’t tell anyone at the time this was because no one came to the table to ask! she also stated I’d eaten my chicken, which me and my friend both stated to her I ate none of it! I put it on my friends plate for her to try which was evident on her plate. Eventually the manager took the dessert off the bill. I’ve been before and it’s never been like this such a shame. I was here few weeks ago and it was lovely. Completely disappointing"

"The two employees who were present, Gemma and Alicia, were nice and friendly. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent; everything arrived quickly. However, there was another woman who came out from the back and seemed to be intimidating one of the staff members while she was talking to them. From what I could see, she appeared to be quite condescending."

"Very disappointed overall. As some of the family had previously visited several months before and had a nice meal. Hence the return. Our starters arrived all rather mediocre and waitress tipped one of the starters over sauce went everywhere accidents happen no big deal got...some paper off waitress and I cleared up told her there was lots of sauce on the floor. She just said ill clear it even uour gone. The mains came mine wax a steak which was as thick as a slice of bacon . Another person had a burger it was over cooked bun was black. Two people had BBQ ribs and asked for the BBQ sauce as none on them. The same waitress told them there was a bottle of hienz sauce they could use on the table!! To sides of prawns were ordered but we only got one lot when asked for the other portion the waitress said abruptly they were on the same plate!! Another group member had beef fajitas that were so tough he couldn't chew the meat. Another waitress asked how meal was I told her she said she would speak to Chef and then returned and said he was to busy at the moment. We got bill they did refund for the fajitas but the waitress who served us before came to collect money and was quite rude . I won't return there's so many nice places I can go in town. This would be my last choice"

"we had a disappointing experience with a pub lunch, but frankie and benny are prepared for this disappointment. the personal was great. they found us a table for five big adults. they quickly took our drink order and delivered exactly what we ordered, including the special drink request of my father. we shared a meat festival star and a pizza style garlauchbrot. it was just enough to the juices flow for our main courses and tasted fantastic the most important courses were also fab. my sister in law loves her grill sauce. the penny of my mother came out hot. my salat was right, I wanted some extra salat dressing just for the case, but I didn't need it. the Speck double cheeseburger defeated my sister. my dad really enjoyed his ribs when we approached them. puddings were really nice to brownies and chocolate fudge cake for my sister and sister in law. dad had apple cake that comes with both vinegar and ice cream. I had the frightened basket cream, caramel ice cream and banane in a cookie shaped basket. we all agreed that eating was much better than we could have gotten in the pub and the service was absolutely extraordinary. They also brought me a cupcake with a candle so I could fly out. they played stevie wonders happy birthday. I was really touched, and when it came to the bill, my sister in the law loaded the francie and benny app on her phone and we have 50% of our main courses. my father was very satisfied/ I can't stress how good the service was. all the staff members were happy that our meals felt special and I even have a box to bring my cupcake home. I think all our meal times will go there. happier place for us."

"I was called yesterday to say that they couldn’t deliver my food as there was road works and it would take 1hr and was trying to get a refund straight away as that was the only money I had left till today when I got paid. I was told I could get the food but it would be cold and I said no as I am not going to pay for cold food the lady I spoke to said it would take 3 to 5 working days then it changed to 5 to 7 working days and I was not happy with this as I then couldn’t order anything else as had no money left I also asked if I could get my order from another shop but there wasn’t one close enough I also asked to speak to the manager that I couldn’t and she went to call someone to try fix the problem and couldn’t solve it and she said I could call and speak to a manager tomorrow and I did but still couldn’t speak to manager and the guy was rude to me when I was explaining what happened and said well I should budget better and said is that all and that he has better things to do so I said to him that he’s being quiet rude and he said I was rude yesterday to the lady. Totally unacceptable don’t order from here."

"Had to wait for table,which wasn't a problem as knew it was busy due to bank holiday,took our order quickly but unfortunately waited nearly an hour for food to come,no one came for quite a while to ask,a larger group of people arrived approx 15 mins after us and had all of their food before us.When it eventually arrived,mine was delicious but my daughters vegan paella was very salty and she couldn't finish it,cheesecakes were outstanding tho."

"Very nice interior as per other TGI's. We were seen and greeted quickly at the door and given a table shortly after. Once we were seated we were given menus and informed staff about a member of our table having allergies. We were advised they would have to get their manager to serve us and would be back shortly with our drinks. However, some time later we still had not been brought our drinks and no sign of a manager coming over. A few tables came in after us and were even being served their food before we had our drinks. Eventually we spot our server just hanging around talking with other servers at their till point to which our patience started to wilt. Maybe minutes after ordering soft drinks, in a half empty restaurant, they eventually arrived to us served by the manager. No apology for the wait, to which I assume that they had only just been notified of our need for them to be the one to serve us. Finally our order was in and thankfully the food was served up promptly and was great. Manager was great at offering us an allergy menu and was quick with everything after they had attended to us. Would visit again, but will not have the patience of last time if drinks could be served faster by post on a Sunday."

"I absolutely loved the food at this restaurant. The theme of the place was great and the food was absolutely amazing. I really appreciated the ordering system for customizing my burger - I could choose all 5 toppings to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. The options included hash browns, fried egg, fries, mushrooms, fried onions, and various sauces. I would definitely recommend trying this out. Plus, they currently have a 50% off promotion for the next few days, which is a great deal!"

"The ‘big bagel’ was nice enough as were the chips. Sweet friendly waitress. Please do not order the nachos-they are flavourless and in my opinion the tortilla chips a little stale. Was a little hard work trying to get someone’s attention for the bill. I think they could do with one more member of staff to keep things running more smoothly eg clearing tables, wiping down seats and supplying the bill more promptly. I voiced my opinion at the time re the nachos but was met with a vacant stare and a ‘no ones ever complained about them before ‘. They bizarrely offered to take 10% off the cost of the nachos. A more commercially savvy response would have been ‘so sorry you didn’t like the nachos Ill take them off the bill as you’ve barely touched them. Hope to see you again next time’ There’s lots of competition in the area who in my opinion offer waaay better service. I believe the owner was behind the counter at the time who took no ownership of the situation-that was a shame but hey ho that’s why some businesses succeed and others don’t stand the test of time."

"We have just returned from lunch at the Woodside. We have been here a few times over the years on and off but we haven't been recently and I can't praise the place enough. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were sat on a nice table by some patio doors and didn't feel crammed in like some places. Myself and my husband had a sharing platter to start which was really good. I then had the Korean chicken skewers with triple cooked chips and the most delicious slaw/salsa I've ever had. Usually when you get chicken skewers you get pieces of chicken breast but this skewer had three delicious whole chicken thighs. The chips were hot and tasty. My husband had the steak and Merlot pie which was a proper pie (not a stew with a lid on). He really enjoyed his meal also. It wasn't cheap but I really don't mind paying if the food is good, and it was. Will be returning."

"We used to frequent this pub often in the past, but heard that it had changed ownership, so we decided to meet our friends here. We were excited to catch up with friends we hadn't seen in a while. However, when we arrived, my husband inquired about their ale selection and was informed they only had Harveys with no other options. The server who brought our drinks had dirty fingernails, which was off-putting. When it came time to order food, one of our friends asked about a Christmas menu and was told it needed to be pre-ordered, as stated on their website. Despite our frequent visits in the past, we had not checked the website. The food was tasty, but the service was lacking. We had to request drinks and were not asked about our meals once they arrived. At 9:40, a lady approached us with the bill and informed us they were closing soon. When we asked for another drink, we were denied. My husband requested to remove the service charge, which caused some tension with the lady taking payment. She questioned why he wouldn't pay it, stating that everyone charges it, which we found rude. Overall, the poor service has discouraged us from returning or recommending the pub to others, despite the delicious food. It's disappointing, as we had hoped the new management would focus on attracting and retaining customers."

"looks a nice place, almost £18 for 3 pints bierbag! ordered 1 spit roast chicken and 2 chicken, cheese ham pies. roasting small and dry pies had chicken carving in some cheese processed a small spekke of ham .over all very bad especially for the price. ticket cost were £46, when terminal presented it £56 good work I checked. where are these good reviews? it must be better! "it matched my mood tired, thirsty and antisocial. One of the coworkers did that the thing not to see them in the eyes when they pass them their drink, and they say thank you for him (maybe I was too successful, my leave me look alone! . it should not annoy me, but that does it. after he said that the place has a nice mood to him. drinks prices seem appropriate for the venue. I didn't try to eat. I would probably come back if in brackish and wanted to chill on a Friday afternoon."

"Waitress are awesome. The food though, not that good. I can feel they use great ingredients. However, the sushis in general were below average, with the seaweed mushy and chewy, the rice undercooked, and the bite size in some preparations too big. The black cod was alright, but for £58 for 200g I would expect it to be amazing. The ambience is gelidy: really quiet and not comfy. They have a great selection of sakes and drinks in general, but they only offer three options for sake by the glass, which I don't think it is the best selection. The crew, again, was the highlight very attentive and friendly, explaining the menu very well."

The cutlery was scattered in the center of the table and there wasn't even enough for everyone, so some had to share a fork for their ice cream.
