"I've passed this place so often and always said I'll try this place. at least on the 15th january I did that and I was not disappointed. from the moment they go through the door, they are greeted with a smile, they are not rushed. to place an order, they are relaxed when they order their drinks and eat. the brave are the best. we had four between us and it was full. the house wine on the glass is expensive £3 for 125ml, which works £18 per bottle. However, the bottle price was around £11 so cheaper to buy the bottle when they share. I would definitely go back. and liz liptrot"

beautiful eating and service. a small jewel, if they are in some places for work or pleasure, they will not find a better flowering tapas restaurant. great music as well as the playlist rocks.

Family meal. Sunday. Relaxed, friendly and all dishes were of a high quality, fresh and perfectly cooked. Lots of choice. Good value. Really worth a visit. £115 for five to have drinks, and a full meal with desserts

Charming greeting, informal but very efficient service, and seriously good food. Busy on a Saturday night but fast turn-over and rapid turn around. We were tempted to order the whole menu but restrained ourselves what we did order was uniformly excellent.

Really great food as usual. We discovered Porta during our lock down walks and it's become a firm favourite; much better and more interesting than the other Spanish restaurants in manchester. The service is always good. Menu is short but interesting and the drinks selection...is equally good. 10/10 from me!

Great place for Saturday informal dinner. We had a range of items including pan con tomato, fried squid , ibericio pork with mojo verde and some excellent charcuterie. Dessert was a great Portuguese tart and as a dessert barraquito. Service was efficiently friendly from our...young lady server. We sat upstairs and she was very nice checked if everything was ok but wasn’t intrusive. 10 out of 10. View menu

Dropped by for some sustenance before going to an event Concerned might not get a table om Saturday night but seated immediately excellent squid ink croquettas amongst other dishes Nice to see option of ½ carafe of wine similar to the French pichet' Very professional...service and smart waiting staff... Good value and food obviously fresh and not frozen as some of the other tapas venues keep it up !

We’ve passed this place many times and we’ve meant to come here for a while. We love tapas and so came here for our anniversary and this place didn’t disappoint. The food is gorgeous and comes out so quickly, very reasonably priced and delicious. Our...waitress Molly was a pleasure and made our evening that bit more special. I will encourage all my friends to come and I will certainly be visiting again! Thanks for a lovely evening.

"Hearing about a traditional fish and chip shop in Prestwich, complete with a restaurant and bar, and cooking in beef-dripping with the option for vegetable oil (call to confirm vegetable oil availability), I was compelled to check it out. Upon entering the shop, I found myself in the bar area, with access to the restaurant located upstairs. The bar was furnished with tables, chairs, and stools for those wishing to enjoy a drink or avoid the stairs. It is encouraging to see young people engaged in the fish and chip shop trade, potentially leading to more traditional establishments in the future. The cod, although slightly smaller than expected, was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chips were among the best I’ve had in a long time. The pea fritters, black pudding fritters, and tartare sauce were also excellent. In-house pies were available as well, so I sampled the cheese and onion and meat and potato varieties and can recommend both. There is parking available across the street and on-street. However, the opening hours might not suit those looking for a lunchtime meal, as at the time of this review, the hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and closed on Sunday and Monday.
