"Very successful restaurant where you feel comfortable, very friendly owner who manages the service. Now to the culinary side, Vitello tonnato tasted very good and was nicely prepared, unfortunately the salad was missing as noted on the menu. The ravioli with osso buco filling with gremolata: 3 pieces are simply not enough, Filling was like puree without any pizzazz, sauce was very soggy and had no taste. Carelessly done, a shame about the work. Didn't want to complain on site, didn't want to ruin my evening."

"Die Auswahl des Essens war sehr vielfältig und regional. Ich war im Hotel Belvedere mit Halbpension und konnte so jeweils ein köstliches Abendessen im La Fontana geniessen. Nebst einem Fleisch- oder Fisch-Menu im Hauptgang gab es jeweils auch ein kreatives Vegi-Menu. Das Essen war jeweils sehr schön angerichtet und schmeckte vorzüglich. Das Personal ist sehr serviceorientiert. Man wird schon beim Eintreten sehr freundlich begrüsst und zum Tisch geführt und auch beim weiteren Service fehlt es an nichts."

"We've been living half-time in Locarno for 4 years and to this day we've never been to the Bottega, a big mistake. It is undoubtedly one of the best places in town. We had goose liver, fresh salmon and Entercote Café de Paris. Maybe not for everyone. But you can't beat what we had! We'll be back soon."

"today I came to the restaurant with a friend who is pregnant and our two young children. and asked to give us a table and feed the children from the children's menu, to whom I told that the service ended...2 clock, I explained that we had come a long way and the children who are 6 years old and 2 years old were hungry and were hungry. to whom I was told that they were not interested and they could only give pizza. "my friend and I are in the boccalino to lunch.my friend had tintenfisch carpaccio as an appetizer, it should have been better seasoned. as mains the fish at a cream sauce with mandel splinter, with pommes. the fish has not been able to see before loud sauce and mandel splinters. has accordingly not tasted for fish, but only after mandling, a pity, because it was not favorable.I had the warm tinted fish with kartoffeln. he tasted super.Halbe portion for 18.-. but it could have been a bit more for half a portion anyway. I ordered a teller spaghetti with scampi. was very good and I would order him again. in the Swiss I never had so many scampis in my spaghettis. great!!What I thought was great that we still got a limoncello on the house.I can recommend the boccalino"

"I did not expect a expierence like this at all, I have just been going up the mountain because i wanted to have some snow in Locarno during winter, and then after 3 hours its started to rain. The place is uniquely located, overseeing the full region/lakes, and the service is really really good, at least in the restaurant. It was during COVID so we had the full restaurant for ourselves so that can mean a lot, but the food was good and they catered to vegetarians./vegans well as well, with some pasta dishes and the soup of carrote/limone with was pretty nice. The drinks and the tea was good too! Was expecting nothing at all, so was really flabourguested that it was so good! We paid 120/CHF for two persons for a meal lunch"

"We came at the BLU fewer times, nice, cosy, and modern environment. In the Sommer the outside terrace is really nice. The restaurant is quite big but the team is present and the service is ensured. Despite the restaurants has Customers all year long the sushi is not available every day, the rest of the menu is a traditional Italian, some dishes are well prepared and some less despite those recipes are not complex. Our pasta was soaked in a medium/low quality oil as an example. The sushi quality is better, especially the appetizers."

"Meine Eltern und ich waren am Sonntag essen in diesem Restaurant. Der Service erkannte meine Eltern als regelmässige Gäste und wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir hatten Muscheln, Krustentiere, Fisch und Kalbfleisch. Alles frisch und keine Tiefkühlprodukte. Dazu Wein und Mineralwasser. Ich hatte einen sehr guten Eindruck. Insbesondere, da das Restaurant auch die Vorschriften des BAG aufgrund Corona umsetzt. Gerne komme ich auch wieder. Toll, dass es noch solche Gastronomen gibt und die Einheimischen gerne dort essen gehen."

"Das Restaurant hatte sehr nette Kellner, hatte mir Spaghetti Carbonara bestellt die waren mir aber zu salzig aber sonst sehr gut. Was ich aber gar nicht gut fand, war die Wartezeit für das Essen. Wir mussten 20-30 Minuten aufs Essen warten, obwohl es gar nicht so voll war! Aber im grossen und ganzen sehr angenehmes Restaurant."

"we were for the first time in this restaurant due to a recommendation from well-known. we were received by stressed service personnel who gave us the feeling of "don't disturb" . the great ambiente and the menu then brought us back to other thoughts. the food was excellent, the wine card offered us a great selection. actually 5 points. unfortunately, as can be seen from other reviews, the service falls from the frame. We always had to think about ourselves and the service forces made all the impression that the guests are annoying. really very bad, because that's part of it."

"we stayed here at the end of May, we arrive at 22.10, the kitchen is already closed, then we turn on the pizzas. the quality is very good, the filling abundant, the cooking (to my goto) excellent. I like pizza maker, a little less the waitress. only flaw, at the end of the pizza they took away the dishes and for almost an hour (despite the practically empty room) they no longer asked us for desserts or coffee, except when, tired for the hour we decided to get up and enter to look for who to ask for the account. "I am a 16 year old boy who wanted to get a mineral water (not alcohol or anything else just water). I felt bad when I had to pay 10.50chf for a 75cl bottle. I find it not logical that a beer costs less…. It makes me think that there is almost an incentive to consume alcohol. We might as well carry out prevention campaigns for young people"

"We are a group of 17 people with the intention of eating a chinoise for a friend's birthday. Very comfortable chinoise and excellent meat. Unfortunately the problems already start on the service. Professionally they have a lot to improve, both in terms of their approach towards the customer and the actual service. Very poor and also rude. Then at the time of payment they charged us 50Fr per person for chinoise, even though on the card the price was 45Fr per person (all you want). Out of 17 people, 2 eat à la carte and they pay their own, of the remaining 15, 1 person paid his share since he did not consume alcohol and clearly the remaining 13 took care of the birthday party's costs. 1270.20 francs of account to be divided among 13 people. So if math is not an option, the portion to be paid per person is 98Fr. Even though we still paid 100Fr per people. And once again they demonstrate that they don't know how to do their job. In any case we paid 1300Fr and they still have the nerve to tell us that we didn't pay the bill in full. 5Fr. x 13 people 65Fr (extra typed) What to say? We will definitely never return! And with all due respect we now understand the bad publicity given by other people who did not recommend your restaurant to us."

"Almost non-existent service, they literally threw the placemats, cutlery and napkins on the table for us to set the table! The waiters were running around like crazy (only two for dinner service) we were welcomed by an unkind woman who almost made us feel like a burden more than customers! Mediocre food. Cold chips, overcooked pasta, small and very thin pizza. I do not recommend and will not return!"
