"For quality measures, the assessment is divided into three main topics: staff, location/Ambiente, food/price staff: The staff was friendly and although we had no reservations, they gave us the opportunity to sit on their terrace. The waiter was a friendly and attentive person, although she seemed more stressed. 4.5 of 5.0 Location/Ambience: The restaurant itself is quite difficult to find as it is pretty well hidden, but the terrace is located right next to the lake that offers an amazing view. The ambience there gave a quiet and sorta romantic atmosphere and was very atmospheric and beautiful. 5.0 out of 5.0 Essen/Price: For the food we had the homemade Gnocci for ~20 CHF and the homemade macaroni for ~21 CHF. For the drinks we had a Hugo for 8th and a white Merlot for 6th CHF. The dish of food was hot, which is very good, as it kept the food warm. The pasta were both homemade and fresh and tasted very good. They seemed to be cooked on site and therefore tasted amazing. They were not fat and perfectly seasoned and only very amazing. The portion size was also very fair and you have quite a lot of pasta clearly adjusted the price as quality and quanitity. The menu did not have too many dishes on it, but the dishes seem very well made and fresh. 5.0 out if 5.0 To summarize it, the total rating is 4.8 and therefore very good! I would definitely recommend going there if you have good pasta and all the other great dishes they offer. If you want more privacy, I recommend a reservation in advance."

"This little place is owned by a South African which made this visit extra special. It is extremely close to the Madonna del Sasso church and well worth a visit. The meals are fantastic. The meal of the day was a Focaccia bread, fresh with zucchini, mozarella and ham served with the most fresh and interesting combination of salads. The meal was compeleted with a not so sweet traditional fruitcake. Spectacular. The atmosphere inside is warm and homey and on a hot summers day, sitting outside sipping cold ice tea would be out of this world."

"terrace very lasy, restaurant visually very appealing, eating is good with claim to upscale kitchen, but could be more expressive. felchen were a little dry, foie de canard with pfirsichbegleitung on three kinds well thought up, but with shy before spicing. that the brot itself is brought and cut, although due to the selection of olive oils and salzen is original, but also a little too close to the buffet dinner. taste! the service is however more capable of improving, too much attention to the new? chef, too little the guests. and at 21:00 clock already for breakfast to cover and to clean up the upholstery from the terrace, although the terrace is still very well visited, does not testify to hospitality."

"the local is a typical bodega with a narrow seating and simply held. the service was very friendly and accommodating. There were inkfish and a green salad. the inkfish was fresh and tender and the green salat did not come out of the bag. to the main course we were served linguine with black summer truffle. the pasta was cooked on the spot and the sauce was a dream. it was also not tastefully refurbished with truffle oil. the truffle taste was accordingly fine, but unfalsed. To dessert we shared a ball vanilleeis with the tessintypical nocino."

"today I came to the restaurant with a friend who is pregnant and our two young children. and asked to give us a table and feed the children from the children's menu, to whom I told that the service ended...2 clock, I explained that we had come a long way and the children who are 6 years old and 2 years old were hungry and were hungry. to whom I was told that they were not interested and they could only give pizza. "my friend and I are in the boccalino to lunch.my friend had tintenfisch carpaccio as an appetizer, it should have been better seasoned. as mains the fish at a cream sauce with mandel splinter, with pommes. the fish has not been able to see before loud sauce and mandel splinters. has accordingly not tasted for fish, but only after mandling, a pity, because it was not favorable.I had the warm tinted fish with kartoffeln. he tasted super.Halbe portion for 18.-. but it could have been a bit more for half a portion anyway. I ordered a teller spaghetti with scampi. was very good and I would order him again. in the Swiss I never had so many scampis in my spaghettis. great!!What I thought was great that we still got a limoncello on the house.I can recommend the boccalino"

"We were a group of 10 that popped in for lunch. The owner, Marco, was so accommodating, and quickly found us a table outside that would fit our entire group. Most of us had panini and then, of course, finished off our meal with the incredible gelato!!! I would definitely recommend this place when in the area. Marco is passionate about his restaurant and it truly shows!!"

"Ich bin an diesem Ort vorbeigekommen und weil die Gartenterrassen so schön aussahen und ob da jemand Gitarre spielte, machte ich kurz Halt. Die Bar ist eigentlich direkt daneben, aber durch das Fenster kann man auch von außen bestellen (Selbstbedienung). Ich bestellte ein Frago Spritz was ok war. Ich kenne den Likör, den sie hinzufügen, und würde es mögen, wenn ich es ein bisschen besser schmecken könnte. Ich denke, dieser Ort ist perfekt zum Sitzen und Entspannen und genießen Sie den warmen Abend."

"I did not expect a expierence like this at all, I have just been going up the mountain because i wanted to have some snow in Locarno during winter, and then after 3 hours its started to rain. The place is uniquely located, overseeing the full region/lakes, and the service is really really good, at least in the restaurant. It was during COVID so we had the full restaurant for ourselves so that can mean a lot, but the food was good and they catered to vegetarians./vegans well as well, with some pasta dishes and the soup of carrote/limone with was pretty nice. The drinks and the tea was good too! Was expecting nothing at all, so was really flabourguested that it was so good! We paid 120/CHF for two persons for a meal lunch"

"We went here for dinner the other night. It was pouring with rain and we had walked there so we were really pleased they had a table. The service stopped there for us. The staff were not attentive or friendly. We struggled to receive service and we had to walk up to ask for a bill which they finally brought to us. We had the three course menu. I chose the tomato soup for entree, kangaroo steak for main and creme caramel for dessert. My partner had the prawn cocktail for entree, same for main and ice cream for dessert. We both were impressed by how the steak was cooked. It was yum. But the rest was disappointing."

"a little hidden above the piazza grande located restaurant, which belongs to the same name hotel, but definitely worth visiting. one feeds in historical spaces, with cross-rib vaults on the deck and ingenious. we couldn't use the beautiful courtyard due to weather conditions. we have tried the recommended menu, which awaited with great surprises. there is also a vegetarian menu, also that was highly recommended with fresh sushi. the risotto as the second floor perfect. wine selection very good, we only tried the open blanc de noir, tasty. reservation via internet without any problems. attentive and friendly service."

"We came at the BLU fewer times, nice, cosy, and modern environment. In the Sommer the outside terrace is really nice. The restaurant is quite big but the team is present and the service is ensured. Despite the restaurants has Customers all year long the sushi is not available every day, the rest of the menu is a traditional Italian, some dishes are well prepared and some less despite those recipes are not complex. Our pasta was soaked in a medium/low quality oil as an example. The sushi quality is better, especially the appetizers."

"Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht! Vorweg noch: die Portionengrösse sind ganz in Ordnung, wenn man eine Vorspeise geniesst, so muss noch genügend Platz für den Hauptgang vorhanden sein. Wir hatten die Dorade (die wird als ganzen Fisch auf dem Teller serviert) und die Eglifillets (frittiert). Beides sehr lecker und die Eglis hatten nicht einen dicken Mantel rundum und waren nicht fettig. Als Vorspeise gibt es auch grünen Salat, welcher nicht auf der Karte ist.Also wir waren begeistert und haben uns die Adresse gemerkt...parken mit dem Auto könnte noch zur Herausforderung werden, da es nur 2h Parkplätze beschränkter Anzahl gerade in der unmittelbaren Nähe hat."

"Die Bedienung war freundlich, leider kam das falsche Gericht. Nicht so schlimm, kann ja mal passieren. Pizza zerlief, da sie so dünn war, vom Geschmack her, war sie gut. Die Knoblauch-Peperoncini-Spaghetti waren leider gar nicht gut. Kalt, kein Geschmack, kein Pep sehr enttäuschend. Die Philosophie des Restaurants überzeugt total nicht, deshalb sollte auf der Speisekarte nicht von Sonntagsessen gesprochen werden, welches mit Liebe und Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Viel zu wenig Personal, alles dauerte ewig, somit auch für die Kinder keine Freude."

"haben uns gefreut, ein indisches vegetarisches Restaurant und haben leider noch Plätze bekommen.Wir Eltern wählten das Menü für 40. , die Kinder wählten Dhal für je 6.50 und Reis für (auch ca. 6.50 plus Chiapatis (für je 2. .Andere Gäste hatten eine sympatische Kellnerin, welche die Gäste informierte, dass sie dann noch mehr bekommen könnten, wir wurden vom Chef bedient , uns wurde das nicht gesagt und wir wurden auch erst wieder beachtet, als wir alles zusammen stellten. Das Dhal war extrem wässerig, das restliche Menü fade und lauwarm.Wir haben noch nie schlechter indisch gegessen. Der Chef vergass die Hälfte vom Dessert.Wir gingen dann sehr schnell und hoffen, dass die sympatische Kellnerin bald einen anderen Job findet.Ein indisches Restaurant wäre eine echte Marktlücke in Locarno."

"we were for the first time in this restaurant due to a recommendation from well-known. we were received by stressed service personnel who gave us the feeling of "don't disturb" . the great ambiente and the menu then brought us back to other thoughts. the food was excellent, the wine card offered us a great selection. actually 5 points. unfortunately, as can be seen from other reviews, the service falls from the frame. We always had to think about ourselves and the service forces made all the impression that the guests are annoying. really very bad, because that's part of it."

"I say first that my Polpo Croccante was very good and my parents’ Scialatielli con Code di Gambero were also good. However, we will never return to this restaurant on our future trips to Locarno. We came with our family from 7 and asked for a table. We had no reservations. The waiter gave us an apology about how it would rain soon and that he could not give us a covered table. We said it's okay because the chances of rain were pretty low. We sat at two small tables that were barely big enough. We asked if it would be possible to have an additional table, and they said that it was not as we had not made a reservation and all the other tables were reserved as the 1st. August (a great holiday in Switzerland). We accepted without protesting, although some tables had no reserved sign and went on to order drinks. We ordered two Hugo cocktails, four coke and one Gin Mule. The Hugos hardly had Prosecco in it, my Gin Mule had no ginger taste and the coke were made of a pre-opened bottle and had all lost their bubbles and were flat like my Gin Mule. We thought we would brush it off and hope that food would be better and just order some wine and water for the meal. As already mentioned, most of the foods were actually good, except for the extremely salted nuggets my niece was ordered and the raw unseasoned chicken got my other niece. She ordered the chicken breast on the black rock grill, but I think they would have grilled it before / fed a minimum as it was a while for her to cook it all on the table. They also brought her a strange spicy sauce that absolutely not the bbq sauce she ordered. A few minutes after we got our food, the lady I think was asked if everything was good. I told her it wasn't and told her everything I just wrote. Instead of knowing everything I said about food and drinks, they and the other employees who served us since our arrival have decided to focus on the table part and make us responsible for not having a reservation if really that was the least of our problem. They accused us and I kept asking them to let it go and let us eat in peace, because I didn't want to make a scene, didn't expect any free things, only they wanted to hear our complaints, but they accused us until I finally almost cried that we wanted to eat and go and leave us alone. We finished our meals, paid and went as soon as possible. They were happy to take our money without even apologising, although they do not even contain us the ice cream contained in the two children's menu we have. It was really the last straw. There are many other good places to eat in Locarno, but this place is definitely NOT one of them. They do not care that their customers are satisfied."

"we went to the Trinity Boat for dinner on a weekday and were pleasantly surprised. Can absolutely recommend the boat for locals and tourists! Burgers are huge, great selection of beer quality of food very good, especially the Caesars Salad liked beautiful...ambience on the boat, good rock music good Bang for the Buck service was a bit slow but friendly"
