"Im Enchilada kann man sowohl gut essen als auch leckere Cocktails trinken. Die Preise sind normal, für Marburg also eher etwas höher. Wir haben zu zweit für zwei Essen, Getränke, einen Lillet wild berry und einen Cappuccino knapp 50€ bezahlt. Dafür war alles aber wirklich sehr lecker und der Service gut. Die Portionen sind evtl etwas klein, finde ich. Die Happy Hour lohnt sich."

"Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich eine Rezension schreibe. Eigentlich halte ich das immer für wichtig. Wir waren auf Grund der guten Empfehlungen auch vor Ort. Man kann sich über die Speisekarte streiten. Die Taverna Korfu hat eine Richtung eingeschlagen und das ist auch absolut in Ordnung. Beim Griechen standardmäßig Gyros zu erwarten, ist eben aus Sicht des Gast auch nicht korrekt : . Was aber tatsächlich etwas enttäuschend war, ist das Verhältnis der Menge der Speise zu den Preisen. Wir hatten mit drei Personen die Vorspeise für rund 14 €, die von der Menge wirklich überschaubar ist. Vielleicht hätten wir sie bestellen sollen ohne zu sagen, dass wir sie mit drei Personen teilen. Denn häufig kommt es dann so, dass die Portionen für drei auf einem großen Teller einfach dezent kleiner ausfallen weil: der Gast hat keinen Vergleich. Das ich bei einem Griechen zum Grillteller Tzatziki für 3 Euro extra kaufen muss, ist für mich schon unverständlich. Auch, dass das Souvlaki mit Fetafüllung 5 Euro mehr kostet, ist verwunderlich! Da stehen meiner Meinung nach manche Dinge nicht in Relation. Der Fisch war geschmacklich super, genauso wie das Fleisch der Grillteller. Was bei letzterem aber einfach nicht geht ist das magere Grillgemüse von sage und schreibe einer Paprika. Blumenkohl gehört für mich persönlich auch nicht zu Grillgemüse, was ich beim Griechen erwarte. Da sollte es schon Aubergine oder ähnliches aus der Region stammende sein. 2-3 schwarze Oliven auf den Salat sind auch mehr als überschaubar. Uns hat es zwar geschmeckt, die Erfahrung aber nicht abgeholt dass wir sagen da müssen wir nochmal hin . Und in der Runde bei uns war ein sensorisch erfahrener Mensch, der selbst in einem 5-Sterne Restaurant gelernt hat, die Gastronomie kennt und sich durchaus ein vergleichendes Urteil bilden kann. Macht weiter aber nehmt auch die Kritik, die sachlich ist, auch als solche bitte an . Daher von mir auch 3 statt eigentlich vier Sterne. Viele Grüße und Danke für den dennoch sehr angenehmen Abend!"

"On the way to the holiday, we searched for a restaurant that does not require a great detour from the highway and have landed what a happiness! The guy behind the counter was super friendly, change requests were even offered directly, he asked all the wishes of the children directly from them, then there was still a small children Shake and the food tasted at the end also bombastic (both vegetarian as well as meat)! Four menus with burgers, fries and drinks were just under 50 euros. We are happy to come back on the next journey!"

"Ich ging am Montagabend hin, um das Buffet zu "testen". Die Auswahl war vielfältig. Es gab 4 Fleischgerichte mit Hähnchenunterschenkel, Rindfleisch geschnetzelt, Rindshackfleisch sowie Schweinefleisch (alles in einigermassen authentischen Saucen). Es gab verschiedene Arten von Beilagen mit 2 Arten von Reis, Linsen Purée, Couscous, Fladenbrote sowie Gemüse und Salat. Es hat für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das Essen ist nicht wahnsinnig scharf, aber einigermassen authentisch, und das Buffet war mit € 11.90 (10.90 für Studenten) sehr günstig!"

We love the La Siesta and it is now only a fixed part of Marburg and is appreciated by many locals as we know from our family. The staff is very friendly, the ambience beautiful and the owners very hospitable and accommodating....easily around the welfare of everyday life. In addition, everyone comes at his expense as well as the cake offer (homemade as well as the waffles are the hammer: and must be dessert! "We enjoyed a lovely breakfast here this morning in front of a real wood-burning fireplace in this warm, inviting, cozily decorated little gem of a restaurant, nestled in a long, winding staircase full of flowers and greenery. Had the weather been nicer, we could have eaten outside on a terrace overlooking part of the city.They use lots of natural and local ingredients (including eggs from hens who reside in a lovely little garden outside on one of the restaurant's terraces). We enjoyed tea (loose leaf in a personal pot), delicious regional juice, fruit salad, croissants with honey and stellar house-made marmalade, eggs (the scrambled egg was the best I'd ever had!), seed buns fresh from the oven (which we ordered more of), and a beautifully presented plate of cheeses, vegetables (purple carrots, cress, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, etc.), and fruits. We can't wait to go back to this place.Our only complaint was that the tables were a bit small for all the dishes and the servers didn't clear any of our empty plates, which left us stacking dishes on the adjacent shelves trying to clear space. Otherwise, it was a perfect, relaxing, and delicious experience and I would recommend it to anyone."

I had a BBQ styled one with vegan cheese and it was excellent, and I loved the fries! Got some house made lemonade with the food to round things up. "Gute Steaks zu angemessenen Preisen. Aber auch nichts wirklich -bewegendes - das erwartet man in der nordhessischen Provinzstadt aber auch nicht wirklich. Das Ambiente sollte allerdings dringend mal etwas aufgepeppt werden - es ist eine ehem. nicht ganz konsequent umgestaltetes Restaurant Typ "gutbürgerlich" mit einer wirklich grässlichen holzvertäfelten zentral gelegenen Bar. Erster Eindruck: wieder eines dieser Restaurants, das schnell auf die aktuelle so angesagte "Steakhouse-Welle" aufgesprungen ist...Die Belegschaft besteht, wie in der Universitätsstadt fast überall normal, überwiegend aus ungelernten Studenten, die sich im Gastronomiebereich ihr Zubrot verdienen. Nett aber auch teilweise etwas unbeholfen. Nervig waren dann die kleineren Gruppen des gleichen Klientels, welche sich, eher erlebnisorientiert und in ihrem Verhalten nicht gerade kultiviert angemessen, ab einer gewissen Uhrzeit im Schwerpunkt an der bereits erwähnten Bar auf ein paar Getränke zusammenfinden - hat dann etwas von KNEIPE...War alles in allem okay, aber nochmal muss ich da dann auch nicht hin."

"Hier hat heute einfach alles gestimmt! Das Essen war superlecker und das Ambient sehr geschmackvoll mit schön eingedeckten Tischen. Wir hatten einmal das Menü des Tages (45 EUR) und einmal aus der normalen Karte. Es begann mit einem Gruß aus der Küche (zwei Lachsvarianten mit einem kleinen Salat) der schon sehr lecker war. Als Vorspeise gab es im Menü eine hervorragende Gazpacho und von der Karte perfekte Jakobsmuscheln. Der Zwischengang war Lammschulter nach Art eines pulled pork zubereitet, sehr zart und mit deutlicher Lammnote ohne jedoch zu kräftig zu sein. Die Hauptgänge waren gleichzeitig die Highlights des Essens: gebratener Steinbutt mit Rieslingsoße, supersaftig und hervorragend abgeschmeckt; gegrilltes Roastbeef mit Pfeffersoße, das Fleisch auf den Punkt und die Soße, die auch wie eine Pfeffersoße schmeckte. Als Dessert gab es zweimal Schokoladenmousse mit Erdbeeren, die lecker war, aber nichts besonderes. Schön war, das Sonderwünsche gerne erfüllt wurden. Wenn man überhaupt einen Kritikpunkt suchen wollte, wäre das der Service, der sehr freundlich und bemüht war, aber dem man anmerkte, das er noch sehr jung und nicht voll ausgebildet war. Aber das ist schon klagen auf sehr hohem Niveau! Unbedingt selbst ausprobieren, wir werden jedenfalls wiederkommen!"

"Die Bedingung ist größtenteils auf Italienisch. Habe eine Pizza Speciale für 12,90€ bestellt. Die Tomatensoße war ungewürzt uns es war viel zu wenig Käse auf der Pizza, sodass die die ganzen anderen Zutaten ständig von den Pizzastücken gefallen sind. Dazu kommt noch, dass der Rand zwar schön dick war, jedoch in der Mitte nur sehr, sehr dünn. Die Getränke waren höher als die 0,3l Marke gefüllt, was aber wieder positiv war."

"It's been 31 years since I left Marburg. And I'm so glad I made it a point to come back during this month-long tour of Hesse and Alsace. So many fond memories that only a beautiful place like this can honour and reward. And what could be better in the crisp autumn air but a plateful of German savouries? The food here on both nights - yes I absolutely had to come back a second time - had my ancient Deutscher DNA doing the happy dance. Staff at the front of house was personable, genial and welcoming. The kitchen is obviously graced with people who care a great deal about local food and its traditions. The regional Reisling and - of course! - the after dinner schnapps were perfect complements. Nice proportions, every last bit - sauces, dressings, etc. - prepared in-house. If ever I'm lucky enough to live in the Lahn valley again, this would be a regular stop. Tschuss !"
