"We always love to find great spots off the beaten path and try to avoid the tourist traps. Pulling into Termini, we bypassed the bar near the center and followed the signs for Chicosa Bar. Enrique provide an enthusiastic welcome and we each had a cappuccino and delicious sfogliatelle ricce (typical Napolitano lemon ricotta pastry). He insisted we come for dinner one night and proudly stated that he does not charge a “coperta” like other restaurants and that his pasta is only €8 AND is homemade by his mom. We came back the 2nd morning and had the same thing and noticed we were charged a little more than the first time, although there are no listed prices anywhere. At first, we didn’t think too much of it. But, when we came back for dinner that same night after a day of riding all over Compania, we were greeted by Enrique’s son, Giovanni, who asked if we wanted to start with an antipasta, which we agreed to. He then brought us each a plate consisting of prociutto w/melon, cheese, olives, eggplant and pumpkin. As we were only two people, we were surprised when he brought us each a plate instead of one to share but didn’t protest as it was already made and there wasn’t anyone else there. The bread he brought us was placed in a slightly unwashed, stainless steel bowl with a disposable napkin as a “liner”. We were pretty disappointed to be charged €40 for the antipasta, bread, a bottle of water and incredibly small, children’s portions of a fairly dry pasta carbonara (with 3 miniscule pieces of guanciale) and mushroom risotto made with jarred or canned mushrooms. We were really bummed. We really liked Enrique. He and his wife seemed so warm but we left feeling like it’s all a bit of a racket. We ended up finding a lovely Michelin rated restaurant where the food is fresh and made with love, and the bill was only €56 for our meal including wine. It’s just a few kilometers away in Sant Agata called Lo Stuzzochino."

"It is not my first time here .. and knowing what the food was like of course we returned. My son and I had denied ourselves food for the day because we knew what was coming and we went for it. We had Bruschetta with deep fried zucchini flowers. Then we had Carpaccio. I had the beef, my son had the tuna and swordfish. We moved on to the ravioli stuffed with crab and shrimp served with shell food from the sea. After that we had the beef fillet wrapped in leaves (lemon I think). OMG The Chef nailed that to perfection. We ended with a chocolate ice cream in pastry with truffle (for my son) and I took the lemon cake option which I ate. We also drank the local wine and enjoyed the home made olive oil. It is 'Out of this world ' from a food perspective added to which the staff are amazing. It 's a 'no brainer '..... crawl there on your knees if you must but just do it. Very convenient for Sant 'Agata and personally I 'd negotiate taxi rates from Sorrento and actually the staff will help anyway with any plans you have and try to accommodate and assist where possible. The approach to the restaurant is magnificent as are the views. The ambience is amazing and fantastic if you wish to submerge yourself in Sothern Italian culinary delights at there finest get yourself there. You may not choose my particular dish choices but there 's plenty on offer. Additionally very reasonable with charges. You could literally just walk in ignore the menu and just say 'Bring me food ' and it would be fantastic. It 's basically what we did after speaking to the owner."

"I brought my wife and sons down to Ristorante Pizzeria Da Michele for a beautiful view to wrap up our vacation. The weather was perfect and we had great seats. The waitress arrived and ask if we wanted sparkling or still water. We are not a fan of sparkling so we chose still. She brought a giant bottle and filled everyone’s glasses. We all took a sip and then realized it was sparkling….yuck. We let her know nicely that it was sparkling and asked her to replace it. She did…but it still showed up on the bill. A little while later our pizzas arrived and they were average at best. The pizzas were not cut in slices. We wanted to share so I asked for a pizza cutter. The waitress made a comment in Italian and proceeded to cut each pizza with a fork and knife. We still enjoyed them and soaked in the amazing view. Once our meal was complete my wife went to pay and I walked the boys around the marina. Come to find out the internet was down and they were not able to process the card. They asked for cash and she did not have enough to cover the meal. They immediately got aggressive and said you have to pay. You cannot leave. Keep in mind this is a vacation spot and a “nice” restaurant. When my wife said she be more than happy to go to the bank ATM to get Euro’s they told her they would drive her….and accused her of trying to slip out on the check. My wife was insulted and responded by refusing to get in a vehicle with them. They then asked for her passport to ensure she would return with the payment. Ummm….no. After some discussion we drove the 3 miles to an ATM and returned to pay the bill. They did not think us or offer an apology for the inconvenience. And ….the icing on the cake….we still got charged for the horrible sparkling water. My advice……STAY AWAY!"
