"My wife and I are falling on this restaurant genial lots of an etape in Meaux. We were delighted to find concused dishes to enhance Regional products such as brie and mustard but also other local cheeses. At the beginning, we were wondering what portraits are the snicker before we compete that it was a tartiflette but prepare with original brie and also a beautiful game of Meaux (words)! We did not hesite to choose the gourmet duo menu and we were not decus! The dishes were good duck with mustard sauce of Meaux, salmon paved for example, followed by selection of local cheeses and ending with a delicious gourmet coffee. The waitress was kind and explained the dishes and told us about the restaurant and what happened in this old building before, because I knew Meaux there were several decennies when I lived there. We'll keep an excellent memory of tonight. If you're looking for an original but not pretentious restaurant, don't hesitate."

"Excellente adresse. Nous l'avons découverte le soir de notre arrivée et nous en avons fait notre lieu de restauration pour le déjeuner et le dîner lors des deux jours passés à Meaux. "We drove to Meaux today(from the Marriott for a break from Paris. It's a wonderful old city to amble about. After buying some French shoes, we were ready for lunch. The shopkeeper told us this was the best restaurant in Beaux....WOW was he right!. We...shared the appetizer, the my husband had the chili and I had gnocchi , both unlike anything we have ever had. Absolutely WONDERFUL. We are thinking about going back tomorrow to the museum and lunch...but of course: . They are only open for lunch from 12-2, only about 8-10 tables, they turned away several people while we were there as they were full."

"L'Ardoise is a nice enough venue and while the food was reasonable there were a few touches that left me feeling hard to award it more than an average rating, so here's where I felt it let down: Two of our three for lunch had...the warm baked cheese with salad which was fine the third went for the unusual dish of poached egg with fois gras this definitely didn't work for me, the fois gras was barely noticeable and the egg only cooked on the surface and very watery uncooked underneath. Mains came two burgers and one duck with apricot sauce, which was OK and the duck nicely cooked. The burgers ordered medium were well done so pretty dry, the roblechon sheese was nice and the fries also cooked well, but no side or accompanying salad made it rather plain and thus 24 euros for a lack lustre burger and entrée was not good value. The drinks were definitely over priced french beer 5 euros? A glass of champagne 7 euros was the dearest we've found anywhere except a Michelin starred restaurant and Michelin starred this is not! The wine list lacked a choice of carafe or house wine and the rest of the list well over priced eg 34 euros for a Beaujolais is around 17 euros ove the top.......the rest similarly so. Service was fine, polite and generally without fault Overall view OK but overpriced across the board"

"I found this place when I was in the centre of Meaux, and I saw people standing outside the restaurant and I pruned on their plates and immediately felt hungry. Later I was looking for a short bite and everything I could think was this place. I thought I would honestly try, I wasn't disappointed at all. The food was great, I have the Patate avec chili con carne (which is a huge baked potato and over it you have the chili con carne) and I was very excited about it. The part is large, served next to a salad. The prices are really good, I paid 9.40 euros for the patt and a drink. For 10.40 Euro you will also receive a dessert. But it must be important that I was greeted by the lady who leads the square. She's a great person and I felt wonderful. Big thumb for the whole place!"

"I came to a restaurant in Latin music, walls and very colorful plates. I immediately disconnected from Meaux. I confirm what has been said previously to be a home and to smile. any further we had a welcome aperitif, homemade black olive tapnade and thin slices of crunchy bread. Great cocktails. so good that we have tasted 3 ... here is my ranking :1-mojito2-el sueño,3- caipirinha*about 8 euros the cocktails are served with a charcuterie dish (saucisson, chorizo and slice of bread)As for dishes, *listed on a slate to the wall, we opted for a fajitas and a tacos Excellent kitchen. I come back with my eyes closed (and I wasn't sick)! digestives offered (old nick vanilla coffee it seems to me)I recommend this restaurant!!!!!!"

"we have benefited from the offer the 30percent discount range. the restaurant does not pay a mine from the outside you see a bar but when you go back to the room: superb little restaurant, super modern decor with a small Asian style, to the toilet:p.Restaurant very quosi, clean. super nice welcome. the restaurant was very quiet (weekend of 14 August). Meal side: gyoza, salmon salad lawyer two maki plates 12x2 and two mini cheesecake (not top for this) and two cocktails = 42r. the card has a great choice. It's cheaper than a buffet and it's better. salmon with a taste of salmon,maki very fresh suggestion for maki spring roll a little touch of mint will be great ;), soy sauce sweet home. Next time we take the boat. :a great little moment in love for us but with friends too :)"
