"I should have noted down, that there was a lot of time required. I checked out three places I shortlisted via Tripadvisor) in Memmingen for dinner and we chose this one and made a reservation for a table alongside the nice little stream that...goes through the centre of town. When we sat down, we were ignored for at least 20 minutes, the terrace was full, but not more then 10 small tables) but 1 good waiter should be able to handle that. There was an elderly lady waiting and an elder gentleman, who did not seem to be too sure of himself, both took their time, though every single table seemed to be waiting. Much later a young girl joined them too. That was quite irritating. When we finally called a waiter and placed our order, it still took up to one hour that we were there, till we had something to drink, while it was over 25 degrees. We were ready to leave and go to our second choice when they came and gave a small “Amuse Geule” though we did not complain yet) ; starter on the house. We saw that they were giving that to all, though most tables were already well installed before we arrived and no one had food yet, which worried me… Most tables looked like locals and they eat earlier. So we finally stayed, feeling bad to leave after that. The service was friendly, just far too slow. The food took another 30 min, though we only ordered main courses, because of the waiting we expected. That means we had our meal 1 ½ hour after sitting down, which was far too long in this case. The food though, was very good and I ordered a side plate of chips, seeing them on another table as they looked so good and crisp. They were the BEST French fries I have had in a very long time ! Desert was also nice, a tiny Chocolate soufflé. However if you are a bit hungry and do not like to wait long, I really can not advice this restaurant and am really doubting why this is the Nbr .1 of 150 restaurants in Memmingen, on Tripadvisor, as it really does not deserve that. This is the second time in Germany that Tripadvisor lets me down."
