"We popped in one morning to book a table as there were seven of us including three children under eight. Reserved a table right next to the beach at the front. Kids enjoyed a plate of Nachos covered in melted cheese which kept them happy. We shared 2 Coyote salads chicken tacos. Mains Taco Tejano, chilli con carne, chicken enchilada, termera enchilada and frittas. Had a bottle of both red white vino plus a Ltr of Sangria. Water beer total 136 Euro. Entertainment by a Mexican singer with a bit of family dancing which went down well. Our second visit we had the same table but enjoyed a variation of dishes which included Jalaparos, Pancho Fajitas, guacamole, Nachos. Red white bottles of vino as before, along with cocktails Daiktiri, Margarita, Caipirinha all 7 euros each and very strong so be warned.Kids had soft drinks. This time our bill was 170 euros. Another good evening with our Mexican vocalist. Good service, attentive and friendly. Two very enjoyable evenings."

"Went for dinner last night and could not fault a thing. We did not book and immediately got seated at a table for 4. Had bread to start, followed by the sea bass, and my partner had the lamb tagine. Both came with the regions popular poor potatoes. I have to give a special mention to the lamb which was cooked to perfection. We were so full that we couldn't have dessert. We had a bottle of house red wine which went very well with our food choices. Partner also had a large beer, and the bill was under 60 euros. I have no hesitation in recommending Restaurant Marcelo, and if in the area again, I would definitely return."

"Tuve el placer de visitar este maravilloso restaurante y me encantó en todos los sentidos. La comida era sencillamente fantástica: fresca, sabrosa y preparada de forma creativa. Cabe destacar especialmente la excelente relación precio-rendimiento. Los precios son más que justos para la alta calidad de la comida. Otro punto a destacar fue la increíble amabilidad de los propietarios. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y se aseguraron de que estuviéramos cómodos durante toda nuestra visita. Su pasión por la buena comida y la hospitalidad se puede sentir en cada detalle. ¡Solo puedo recomendar calurosamente este restaurante y espero con ansias mi próxima visita!"

"Fuimos el 1 de Septiembre de 2023 recién llegados a nuestras vacaciones, después de 3 horas de carretera hasta el hotel donde nos hospedamos y el ir y venir con el equipaje, decidimos ir a comer a este maravilloso sitio de comida Argentina. La atención de los camareros fue excelente y la comida buenísima Cada vez que vaya a Mojácar de vacaciones iré a comer. Lo recomiendo sin duda."

"very good food, caprese salad, spaghetti boloñesa and gorgonzola pizza with nuts. The coffee with very milk. the beautiful terrace with stunning sea views. the staff very friendly but a little slow to comment that a dish did not have it and had to go change it for another. They made us wait to pay. still recommended to eat pasta and pizza."

"I just have dinned at Bowen restaurant, located in a prime location, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While the restaurant’s location is quite good, I found the service to be inconsistent at times (the restaurant was half full), which affected the overall dining experience. The prices were a bit on the higher side, which could be justified if the service were consistently excellent. One aspect that disappointed me was the lack of proper illumination. The ambiance suffered due to the dim lighting, making it difficult to fully appreciate the dining environment. However, I must give credit where it’s due. The Argentinian dishes were a highlight of the meal. They were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showing attention to detail in terms of culinary craftsmanship. The flavors and quality of these dishes managed to overshadow some of the drawbacks I mentioned earlier. In conclusion, this restaurant has its strengths and weaknesses. The excellent Argentinian cuisine and picturesque location provide a strong foundation, but improvements in service consistency, pricing, and lighting could significantly enhance the overall dining experience."

"I 've known Diego and Carmen for almost 4 decades now. They 've taken a basic tapas restaurant all the way to a high end bistro type restaurant. Again, like most Spanish restaurants, you will have your staple meals that you are familiar with, however, like some of the others in the area I encourage you to ask Carmen what has recently been made, or fresh. Salads here are picture worthy, the Jamon Iberico (cured Iberian ham) to die for, and the Queso Manchego Curado (aged goat cheese) is also a must. Fried calamares on the seafood side, and if you want to go out on a limb, gambas rojas when in season (red prawns from Garrucha). The Sole and other local fish are also excellent. There is also a very good wine selection here, one that Diego probably could recommend based on what you are eating. As for tapas you have those too. I like the alitas de pollo or chicken wings. They look basic, but have loads of exploding flavours if you get them recently fried up. Deserts are nice, and why not top off the meal on the terrace with a Brandy. Not cheap but you get what you pay for."

"We discovered by maps this restaurant while we were taking a tour of mojácar village and then the beach area. We call a few minutes before we see if they had a hole and there was no problem. When they arrived they had the table separated in a shaded area, but then it was giving the sun and we had to move it. they have menu of the day, for 12€ without drink, and with dessert or coffee. dishes are not small and one looks well served at the end. also have rations and rice and paellas on request. the staff is friendly and they work very well. There's no problem parking. they have several squares in their detour, and if not, it does not cost to park in so surroundings. highly recommended."

"We arrived to arlequino at the suggestion of a very friendly municipal guard (thank you, thank you) the truth is that the Mojacar hospitality does not seem very attractive, unless you go down to the beaches. not only for that, but for much more, it stands out arlequino with its own light. the first, the local, a building of several floors, with different environments, very cozy and well decorated. the terrace, with views of mojácar, is spectacular, although it did not make day for dinner there. The letter got us a lot. He's got a little bit of everything, contenting everybody and you don't go crazy with the choice. the croquettes, incoming, are original and succulent. We threw the fish, a tataki sealed with sesame in my case, and it was sublime. Apart from the presentation was attractive and original. the staff, friendly and fast. If one day we're going back to mojacar, we're clear where to stop."

"As we fancied a nice steak we decided to dine here especially as the Trip Advisor reviews rated it. We booked a table for four adults and three children outside and our table was well located at the front .For starters we had a salad, Argentinian sausages, prawns garlic. Mains rump steak, fillet steaks and a mixed kebab. plus mushrooms, vegetables chips. Children had chicken nuggets, a burger and chilli con carne all 7 euros each. Wine a bottle Casa Blanc 15 euros, a bottle of Llama Malbec 22 euros. Bottles of water and 4 Fanta's. total bill 207 Euros. Setting service good, food quality taste 8/10. High end cost in Mojacar Playa but a very enjoyable evening all round."

"As we arrived for our meal the gentleman who we assume to be the owner/manager was engaged in a furious row with the woman behind the bar. His bad mood obviously stayed with him as he glared and huffed all evening. We stayed due to a cloudburst but wish we hadn’t. Pizzas were lacklustre and service continued to be so poor that as he angrily poured a glass of wine for me it dripped onto my white trousers! Not our finest hour eating out in the area, wouldn’t return and most certainly wouldn’t recommend."

"We have gone to dine to this site as it has good recommendations. I summarize the experience:1) octopus 20 well of drip in general, but it was like a quarter of hard pieces that I do not know if overheating in microwave or what was out. no one knows, in part an excess of oil that at the end oted has the taste of oil and not of the octopus in the mouth; 2) lunina 14 very well; 3) train to stone 18-n. We've generally been disappointed, we wouldn't repeat it. the staff very attentive, they deserve 5"

"Visited this restaurant twice during our two week holiday and were given a well situated table overlooking the sea in glorious weather. Seven of us dined including three children under eight. Our first visit we enjoyed our shared meat and cheese platters as starters. For our mains we had wild boar duck with vegetables. Main dishes would only rate 7/10 as we were not sure what meat it was. Kids had lasagne and chicken nuggets perfectly fine. The red white house wines were good as was the service we received. As a family group we enjoyed the evening and so decided to return the following week. This time we had mixed and rustic salads with carpaccio salmon and cheese as starters followed by Lasagne, Clams Vongo, Cannelloni and buffalo fritta and the kids enjoyed a selection off the children's menu at 8 euros each. This proved to be a much better choice and the food was good. Once again we had the red and white house vino together with water and a couple of beers. We were given the same excellent table in the garden with very enjoyable sea views in the evening sunshine. Total bill 160 euros. Excellent service repeated by very friendly staff."

"Personal , limpieza excelente, el desayuno buffet variado y abundante , la cena bien. Solo un pero, después de reservar directamente con el establecimiento me envían un sms diciendo que había eventos (4 comuniones) ya no podía anular, cuando llegas un sábado a las 21 horas y no tienes sitio para dejar vehículo es frustrante. Todos los aparcamientos tomados por personal de eventos."

Una terraza sencilla, pero que te hace sentir tan cómodo como en el mejor restaurante de muchas estrellas. Y, lo más importante, una atención que se sale del ranking. Amables no, encantadores. Por favor, seguid así. Esto es lo que debería ser un restaurante en la playa para las personas “normales”…"

"Fantástico restaurante. Muy bonita decoración en un entorno encantador frente a la playa. Excelente relación calidad-precio 17,95 € por 3 platos. Cóctel de gambas y calamares para empezar, pollo en salsa de pimienta con patatas y verduras, secreto ibérico que resultó ser cerdo en una salsa preciosa. El único problema era que estaba un poco demasiado cocido y era difícil de comer. Cuando llamamos al gerente, él estuvo de acuerdo e inmediatamente se ofreció a cambiarlo, lo cual hice por el mismo plato que tenía mi esposa. El personal se disculpó mucho y la recuperación del servicio fue excelente. Postres Ambos comimos profiteroles que eran encantadores y ligeros. Definitivamente lo visitaría nuevamente y muchas gracias al propietario que se propuso hablar con nosotros antes de irnos sobre nuestra experiencia."

"Reservamos para cenar, ya que conocíamos El Cid en sus otros ambientes. La carta nos sorprendió. Se sale de las típicas raciones de la zona en la elaboración de las mismas. El único pero, es que los días que hay cenas es mejor ir antes de que empiece el concierto. Ya que sino después no se escucha nada ni se puede hablar. Por lo demás estaba todo riquísimo."
