"Right after our evening walking tour, we headed to this area for a meal. Not preferring to pick a Spanish/Porteguese place, we tried out Via Toselli. It seemed to be a new place, and we took a chance after peeking at the menu. The decor is really modern, and they have an open kitchen which attracted us. The Pasta menu is limited to a few items, maybe they are still testing waters, which we think is fine. There are also quite a few options for vegetarians in Pasta and Pizza dishes. The service was quick, we sat right next to the door, we understand that customers would walk in or walk out bringing in draft of cool wind and could live with that (there were no other places free anyways). However, the staff had this nasty habit of constantly opening the door to peek out, to take a stroll, or smoke and they would not care that it affects the customers. We even complained once but it didn't make much difference. To top it, towards the end of the evening one of the waitresses seemed to have an argument with another server, which was a distraction...it didn't seem like a friendly banter. The meal itself was okay, we ordered arrabiata which was al dente, the sauce was fine but not a memorable one, and while the portion size was big they did not serve enough sauce to get the full flavor from. The price of dishes was definitely above average but we were in the tourist district. Via Toselli definitely had the potential, but just didn't deliver."

"I have the worst feeling of directions even Google cards. but I had a terrible desire that locals asked for help. Help me, please they were surprised that I had something German and it was thanks to my crazy love to rammstein. they laughed that. my thoughts included learning from their speech. but they showed me in the right direction, and I was inaugurated by the beautiful little space called a small bird. it was a nice little room packed. I decided to sit at a bar-height spot just to watch and avoid people waiting. there is little space to maneuver, but it works. it is cozy and 2 tables are back through the semi-open kitchen. I'll be able to pee off my bare seat when I turn around. the portions are good. I have upgraded my meal to include a starter and dessert. I have also included schnapps with my meal. it was a glorious ode to Germany. the salate was fresh and light. the small pocket of meat and teig was gently picked and good ratio of meat to teig. the spatzle are small twists of the teigs as a deposit, but smaller. it had a cheese sauce and a puppy-boiled swash for sweet, hearty taste. I knew I had to knock out or I wouldn't have a place for dessert. I chose small apple pancakes. they would think I'd be over all the diligent, but it was something everyone else had and it came with a rich vanilleeis vanillaeis. small thin pancakes with chopped apple. perfect finish. I mean back my way back and came back to my hotel in a reasonable time. I would go back if I were in hamburg. service was good and not rushed. small wash kitchen in the back."
