"This is a delightful restaurant in a calm lovely square just a minute from Place Garibaldi, near Old Town. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the chef/owner later invited us in back to watch him prepare desert as he does every day, and gave us samples of his homemade whipped cream. But here, meat is the thing. We ordered chicken burgers for lunch--and were delighted to find that they were not tasteless ground meat, but moist flavorful pieces of sliced rotisserie chicken layered on a great bun and topped with a big slice of crispy skin! The accompanying fries were crisp and plentiful. We started with a "baked" egg and it was amazing. Ham, pork, veal, sausages and more are on the menu, and if you're hungry, the smell of it all roasting on the rotisserie is fabulous. Very informal and kind service, but still "old school." You can dine outdoors in season. Great for kids, friends, or dinner with wine. A very tasty surprise and we intend to go back and explore the variety it offers."
