"really great eating and more than huge portions; we were there three times for dinner. we tested various types of dressed – I vegetarian dishes, partner the meat dishes – from suppen to bruschetta and pizza to pasta and then ice. everything was perfect. a few additional plus points: - I like it when the chef is there; he was there at all our evenings, greeted the guests and checked whether everything was in order, and helped with need to clean up the tables. "After three weeks on Norderney and visiting several restaurants, I can rightly say that this was the worst. When is greeted with a miss brave face. Then you are succinctly shown a table. We ordered Jägerschnitzel and wanted it with fried potatoes instead of fries. For this dish we were charged the full €16.80 that a Jägerschnitzel with fries would have cost. As requested, we got the schnitzel without fries but a small bowl of fried potatoes that we were supposed to share between the two of us. It really wasn't worth mentioning. We each had to pay an additional €2.50 for this mini bowl that we were supposed to share. There was no salad with it. When doing the billing, the waitress wasn't able to work out what everyone should pay. She had already assessed the bill together, as they were assuming. That would be desirable, although we never expressed it. Her calculations were also wrong and I had to explain to her that she didn't add it up correctly. The lady was unfriendly and always had a displeased expression. The employee behind the counter who took care of the drinks also worked very comfortably and ate sandwiches in between, even though customers who were there before us were waiting forever for their food and had already made an angry complaint. Our food came after a wait of a good 30 minutes. And that made us one of the lucky ones, because many people only got their food after well over an hour. The ambience is like a restaurant left in the 70s, with creepy old puppets, an old carpet, dim lighting and no flair, as was the staff who couldn't crack a smile. I can only advise everyone to skip this restaurant because there are so many good restaurants on Norderney. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"Essen wie man es in einem Chinarestaurant erwartet. Sehr lecker, reichlich Auswahl und sehr netter Service. Schickes, gemütliches Restaurant. Es gibt eine Mittagskarte Mo bis Freitags von 11.30 Uhr bis 15 Uhr. Genügend Gerichte zur Auswahl und als Vorspeise kann man zwischen Frühlingsrolle und Suppe entscheiden. Mittagsgerichte liegen um die 10 Euro incl. Vorspeise. Super Preis/Leistung Wir kommen im nächsten Urlaub wieder."

"We are already a few days on norderney and have eaten in various restaurants and I must say TOP!!!! For me, one of the best restaurants on the island. Eating there tastes fantastic ... and the prices are affordable in comparison to other restaurants ... If it ever happens to me, I will definitely go to eat again ... I wish the team until then everything good"

"Als große Fans und quasi Stammgäste wurden wir in dieser Woche maßlos enttäuscht: Wir waren in dieser Woche zweimal vergeblich vor Ort: am Dienstag hing ein Schild wegen Krankheit am Dienstag und Mittwoch geschlossen. Na gut, haben wir gedacht, versuchen wir’s heute noch mal: Donnerstag: Wir haben extra vorher angerufen und in’s Internet geschaut. Internet: kein Hinweis, Anruf: Standard-Ansage: kommt ruhig vorbei: Vor Ort die maßlose Enttäuschung: Nur to go. Eure Burger sind traumhaft, aber so schnell seht ihr uns nicht wieder. Es geht hier auch weniger um die Tatsache, dass ihr vielleicht tatsächlich wegen Krankheit nicht den vollen Service anbieten könnt, sondern dass das nicht richtig kommuniziert wird."

"Wir hatten uns auf Empfehlung einen Tisch reserviert. Als wir ankamen gähnte die Dame an der Rezeption bereits, war wohl ein langer Tag bis dahin. Alle sind per Du, als ob wir schon zusammen gefeiert hätten, haben wir aber nicht und werden wir mit Sicherheit auch nicht. Das Lokal ist ganz nett eingerichtet, so wie man ein modernes Lokal heutzutage denkt einrichten zu müssen, dunkel und Lichtakzente fertig. Servietten auf dem Tisch und schweres Besteck hatte einen unglücklichen Schwerpunkt und viel dem Personal beim Abräumen auch gerne mal laut scheppernd auf den Boden. Das Essen war soweit ok. Der Gruss aus der Küche Muschelsuppe wurde abgelehnt, ich esse keine Muscheln, wofür ich jedoch böse angeschaut wurde. Nun ja… die Kürbissuppe mit Eiseinlage (irgendwas mit Zitrone) und einem groben Stück Kürbis war ok. Wie eine Kürbissuppe halt schmeckt. Der Kokosschaum war schaumig. Im Hauptgang gab es Ochsenbacken mit Wirsing. Als das Essen kam hatte man die Vermutung eine geräucherte Makrele zu bekommen, wie sich herausstellte war der geräucherte Kartoffelwürfel schuld, dass alles nach geräuchertem roch. Schade für die anderen Komponenten. Auch brauche ich keine kandierten Walnüsse zum Rindfleisch und der Wirsing entpuppte sich als ein labbriges Blatt, was auf dem Gericht lag. Alles in Allen, das Fleisch war gut, die Aromen unterdrückt, die Tellersprache ausbaufähig. Zu guter letzt, das Selleriepürree, eine Mousseline, sehr sahnig. Ein Dessert wollten wir dann nicht mehr. Nun ja im Ergebnis: man sollte nicht jeder Empfehlung folgen."

"Wer mit dem guten Namen von Nelson Müller ein Lokal bewirbt, sollte wenigstens den Anspruch haben, auch wenn der Meister nicht vor Ort ist, ordentlich zu kochen und Gäste freundlich zu bedienen. Letzteres ist bei unserem Besuch gelungen, aber die Qualität der Speisen war nicht akzeptabel. Nicht nur bei uns, sondern auch am Nachbartisch gab es lange Gesichter. Bei einem Kostenaufwand von € 200,00 inkl. einer einfachen Flasche Wein für 2 Personen kommt man sich reichlich geneppt vor. Keine Empfehlung und 2 Punktestatt 1 Punkt nur wegen des freundlichen Service."

"we entered the restaurant and got a table for eight people, which was directly under the loudspeaker who was responsible for the underpainting of the evening by the "best of udo Jürgens" CD. we ordered scholle and rotbarsch with bratkartoffeln and spinat. after approx. 30 min we got schollenfilet (still) without spinat (was delivered) and schollenfilet served with champignons, the latter so not ordered and despite demand, whether I don't want to eat anyway, so also not desired. after a further 15 minutes the second ordered court was there, the beer there was as an apology to the house. Unfortunately, I had to eat alone, my face was already finished. the food was delicious, but the loudness, the hectic (fast chaos) in the restaurant and the bad ventilation (we smelled like after a visit in a frittierbude) is not a quality feature. the interior is also highly needy to get used. Conclusion: eat well, service bad. not recommended."

"Sehr gemütliches Restaurant, Essen von guter Qualität, freundlicher und zugewandter Service. Leider konnte man 21:45 Uhr keinen Nachtisch mehr bestellen, obwohl wir schon mehr als 20Min. auf das Essen gewartet hatten. Das war ein bisschen schade. Die Rechnung bekamen wir mit den Worten: „wir machen gleich Feierabend“ unaufgefordert um 22:00 Uhr gebracht. Daher ein Stern weniger und die Empfehlung vor 20:00 Uhr zu kommen."

"tripadvisor is not precise here: the hotel georgshöhe has two restaurants: the hotel restaurant and the gourmet restaurant Ney ́s. the attempt to book there (all a phone number) was successful, but deceptive. we were confronted with the fact that the gourmet restaurant opened only at the weekend. would have been good if you had said that on the phone. the private leave was a birthday. there may be a glass of champagne.Two glasses came after waiting time, both nich cold enough, one without moussing content. the complaint was immediately satisfactorily done.The menu sounded enticing roast matjes with carte-openvinaigrette made curious and was hidden as a warmed doublematjes under a mountain of kartoffelsalat. the caramelized goat cheese with black walnuts came out of the cooling and was flamed without being heated. This goes better,The white wine was too warm (openable to drinking temperature precooled and heated quickly by warm glasses). in the case of the complaint we were offered a cube for glass!.The cadry back fillet was very dry (how do you actually get it)? and the cordon bleu was not or was very sparingly seasoned.The price-performance ratio was absolutely not in order, the evening broken and we will avoid this house in the future. kulinar a grusel cabinet."

"Also die Preise sind für die Leistung völlig überzogen. Ich hatte als Vorspeise ein Bruchetta das sehr übersichtlich angeordnet war 12,50 kostet völlig leblos war und ohne Geschmack. Habe ich so noch nicht gegessen. Danach hatte ich den Wolfsbarsch allerdings mit Ratatouille 24 € auch ähnlich geschmacklos kamen die Filets daher. Das Ratatouille ging war noch bissfest aber auch ohne Geschmack. Mein bester Freund war der Salz und Pfeffer Streuer. Jetzt was positives, der Service war gut auch die Weinberatung war fundiert und das Ambiente ebenfalls. Die restlichen Essen waren ähnlich. Abschließend würde ich sagen für den Preis muss man da nicht hin."

"I always wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant of the hotel pique – but there was always something in between. Therefore, a fixed date was agreed – and this evening it had not rained on Northerney, but it was poured out the clouds. the call in the restaurant that it could become later, as we would only come after the rain was kindly accepted and so the evening continued: the service was exceptionally courteous, attentive, unobtrusive. the food excellent: excellent carpaccio red beet, norderneyer bouillabaisse full of fish and also gratinated salmon and cadjau well matched to creamy sour wort. often you have to wait for the walks: here it happened that at the rehearsal of the house wine (2 x 0.1 bad greyburgunder from wasenweiler) the appetizer was served and that was not a pity – we stayed at the evening at the recommended greyburgunder (acid but still fresh). a very beautiful evening, with a view of the sea - incoming sailing ships and ferry, youth, and quite in the far the lowlands ... an incredibly friendly service: there it makes joy to be hospitable."
