"can not describe the spectacular eating I had tonight. I have spent one thing to decide what to have, then I stumbled on the crab shell. I wasn't disappointed. it was glorious. then I asked which wein is best paired with the court, and again I was not disappointed by the least. my partner really enjoyed his meal. the whole experience was exquisite. I enjoyed myself very much as it was nice to eat and the staff was so beautiful and seemed passionate about Italian cuisine. 100% recommended!"

"I’d give a zero star if it was possible. From reading the negative reviews here, my experience was the same as many others who took the time to review this apparently charming location. Don’t be fooled by the enticing outdoor seating area, the husband and wife owners are a very rude and unpleasant pair to deal with, humiliating customers in public and pointing to signs to validate their self created rules. There are no less than 16 signs around their garden seating area which you don’t see until after you’ve made your purchase at their takeaway counter. This pair are completely irrational and inflexible and have zero customer service skills. Avoid at all costs and I’d suggest they seek an income in an industry that does not require human interaction. It’s expensive and average at best with pre-packed sandwiches and stale pasties. Avoid at all costs"

"What a fantastic venue for an 18th birthday celebration! The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and offers an amazing menu that caters to everyone's tastes. The staff were very helpful, making the experience even better."

"The southern fried chicken was severely overcooked, almost to the point of being inedible. The burger had a strange taste of disinfectant, but the chips were decent. Even though we were only 2.5 miles away, the restaurant doubled the delivery charge from £3 to £6. We won't be ordering from here again anytime soon and won't recommend it to our guests."

"I'm so glad we found this lovely gem. Had Sunday lunch, and it was so nice to actually have hot, freshly prepared food. Huge sizes, no room for dessert. 3 different plate sizes offered, I had medium, which really was a large plate of food. Very reasonably priced, the lady owner was so lovely and attentive, she made us feel very welcome. We will be going back to sample more home cooked delights."

"We had an early dinner before our sunset safari. After trying a few places without any luck, we decided to walk into this restaurant and were warmly welcomed. I really enjoyed the modern and unique vibe of the bar, and the cocktails were delicious. We ordered soup, potato soup, and chickpea-lentil curry to go along with our onion rings. The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. The clean restrooms were a bonus in such a busy city."

"Whist staying at Golden Coast we tried this pub. The place was clean and the staff friendly. However, the food was of poor quality, portions small, poorly presented and luke warm. The catch of the day fish was cod straight out of the freezer. The chips were low quality catering ones. My chicken pie was served in a pie dish covered in flaky pastry that had lost its puff. It was basically a few pieces of chicken in a sauce which was runny like gravy. This was served with a lump of mashed potatoes and peas. In fact I think all the meals were served with peas."

"The pub serves fabulous food that was so good we went twice during our holiday nearby. The staff, two lovely girls serving at the bar and delivering to tables, were really friendly and accommodating. We had an excellent salmon dish the first night, which was a generous portion with sauté potatoes and beautifully cooked vegetables. We thought it was great value for money given the quality. My husband had hake on the second visit and I had their beef burger, both dishes were well cooked and presented with generous portions. The menu is written on wall boards and offers a great selection of fish and meat dishes. We highly recommend this place, as the village is small and this is the only pub, but why would you need another one when this one is so good."

"On a cool autumn morning with dew still on the windows, the scent of the sea in the air was captivating. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a mix of aromas - the warm cafe air wrapped around me, while the enticing smells of bacon and coffee filled the room. I sat down and the friendly server took my order with a smile, patiently noting down my extensive breakfast cravings. As I waited, time seemed to stand still until my meal arrived, a hearty breakfast that I had been eagerly anticipating. The bacon sandwich placed before me was simply delicious, and I savored every bite. I will definitely return to this charming spot, a memory I look forward to sharing during the holiday season. Ilfracombe, I adore you."

"Have always enjoyed everything about this place over the years, and coming back this time was no different We’d enjoyed a Memorial and Celebration for my Mum the day before, with lunch at The Boathouse, and had a lovely meal (20 people), with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service This visit was a sunny day, and we were meeting family for a dog walk after lunch, so Instow seemed the perfect choice. Sarah was in again, and greeted us warmly, asking how the Memorial had been We were seated quickly, ordered drinks promptly, as well as a shared Starter and a couple of sausages for our dog The food was incredible, as I’ve always found it to be. We shared a Dessert also A welcoming, warm, comfortable establishment, with great views, fresh, well crafted menu items, good quality drinks, and friendly service 2 adults (and a dog) Thursday lunchtime no reservation beginning March 2023"

"We visited a wonderful tea room recently that had just been taken over by new owners. This family-run business serves delicious food and coffee in a cozy environment. The menu was full of tasty treats, from foot long Bratwurst to birthday cake slushies. Despite having some picky eaters in our group, including children with special dietary needs, the staff handled everything with ease and kindness. The small size of the place meant we had a great interaction with other customers, making for a friendly atmosphere. The efficient service and obvious passion of the owners for their business left a lasting impression on us all. My daughter was even inspired to leave her first ever tip, thanks to the wonderful experience we had at this charming tea room."

"Loved the green juice i had, coconut, lime, kale and more, 3 of us ordered differnt breakfasts all looked fab, my veggie mexican egg dish was beautfully spiced. We had to wait ages, i heard one customer it will be a half hour wait that was when we had been there around half an hour, we were not told of a wait. I guess they are short staffed like everywhere nowadays. So great food, great choices for veggies too, but busy and you will have to wait. This was monday morning not in school holidays, but a sunny day"

"This ia nice pub in a pleasant village setting and with good car parking, Hopes were high when the new proprietors took over this establishment 12 months ago. The beer was well kept and a new menu with Asian bias was intriguing. The Malaysian chef was keen to make his presence felt, certainly knew his stuff and seemed keen to please. We looked forward to continuing great hospitality at the Ebby A year later, there's been an unfortunate decline. The chef seems to have departed since he has not put in an appearance lately and the standard of food has certainly dropped off although the cost hasn't. Lets hope the proprietor recovers his mojo soon and gets things moving along once again but currently the pub is not great."

"the angel is a real small shade box. the interieur is old, beautiful. and very cozy. it is a charming little restaurant. they feel at home right away. the service is excellent and eating delicious. the menu is perfectly not a long list of elements, but enough to have a good choice of everything. we loved it so much, we made a reservation for the following week before my vacation ended. the two ladies are very friendly and helpful and the service is very attentive. the next visit to my friend in ilfracombe is to go back there."

"Looked at a few cafés for lunch in Lynmouth and Lynton, all seem to be extremely overpriced for what they were offering! We stumbled across the Pie shack , Don’t be put off by it’s size. A really small place at the top of the central thoroughfare in Lyton, what a find, and such a lovely lady that runs it, we had FRESH, oven cooked NOT microwaved Lamb Pastie with salad and coleslaw a vegetarian beetroot, chickpea and cheese pie again with a lovely salad, both were absolutely delicious and whilst we waited on the bench outside for the food to heat 10mins or so , free coffee was available. Well done I really couldn’t recommend you highly enough "

"Very busy, but didn’t past our booked time. Three meats to choose from and every veg you can think of all for £10.95 Beautifully cooked and very enjoyable, pribaly one of the best we have had. It’s a carved so you can have as little or as much as you want. There are a selection of hot and cold desserts to follow if you have room for £4.95 something for everyone. Only downside is there is l8mited parking but there are places to find outside of the hotel grounds so I wouldn’t let that put me off. Staff are amazing, it must be a Brend thing as the quality of service, friendliness and proffesi9nalism is portrayed throughout the chain."

"We had a table booked for 6:30 at the Jack Russell, but after a long drive down to our air BnB for the weekend which incidentally is directly behind the pub we decided to opt for the take out. We explained this to the manager who was absolutely lovely about it and told us to ring up with our order and what time we would like it for. We had large cod and scampi both as meals and they were divine! Freshly cooked piping hot and lots of flavour! The curry sauce was the best I think I’ve ever had from a ‘chippy’. Couldn’t recommend enough. Staff inside the pub when we collected were all so lovely and friendly."
