"The stairs to the 1st floor are nothing for disabled and drunks. The restaurant was small and original. Operation very accommodating. But the food, that was the hammer. You can't improve borillas to starters. The main run of a fish plate a balance. I hope we can visit this restaurant soon. Mostly it is booked due to size. Maybe 2023 again. Until then, stay healthy and please do not close. Too bad."

"Das Pandaria kenne ich schon einige Jahre und ich muss sagen, es ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und etwas heruntergekommen. Es ist schmutzig, Wände mit Soßenspritzern, die Tischbeine sehr staubig und fleckig, Stuhlbezug unappetitlich dreckig, schlimm eklig. Die Dekorationen lieblos verdreckt und ungepflegt. Wir waren um ca 12.30Uhr da, einige Speisen vom Buffet waren schon leergegessen und wurden nicht aufgefüllt oder waren kalt, obwohl die Mittagszeit bis 14 Uhr geht. Insgesamt alles sehr freudlos, lieblos und vernachlässigt. Geschmacklich auch kein Gewinn, wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Schade, dass das ehemals gute Lokal so vernachlässigt wird. Wahrscheinlich sieht man am Abend (Schummerlicht) den Dreck nicht. Auch die Toilette... Ich führe es nicht weiter aus. Wir kommen nicht wieder, schade"

"When Saarland is very close to French food, I can only say:Top!! The chef and his team could also be in Alsace and Lorraine. We spontaneously enjoyed breakfast this morning, which led to dinner: Maronencremesupoe with duck breastballs for cleaning. The two main dishes Hähnchensteak Chili Mango sauce and sweet potato bundles covered with bacon, as well as the barbarieente with ginger cherry quince soak a dream. "Netter Portier, brachte sogar die Koffer aufs Zimmer, Einrichtung der Zimmer eher Hostelcharakter, durch die Gastronomie unter uns konnte man jedes zerkleinern des Hähnchen live miterleben und jede Raucherpause der Angestellten hat man mitgeraucht wenn das Fenster offen war und waren auch bei jedem Gespräch mit dabei, Rücksicht auf die dadrüber schlafenden Gäste war nicht.Frühstück war ein beschauliches Continentalfrühstück."

"Had a whole Weißbier poured over me by accident by a waiter. My new jumper and my trousers were soaked. I did not create much of a fuss. We were a group of 8 and had meals and drinks and spent several hundred Euros as a group. First I was promised all dry cleaning is covered through their insurance. After we paid the full bill I was told I should bring my clothes the next day in case "I can see any staines". No drinks or other form of compensation was offered. I told them this was not possible as we were travelling abroad. Not a a terribly impressive service. I certainly rate it as a very poor show."

"We only stopped in for drinks while on the walk over from St. Stephan Cathedral to cross the river and make the climb up to the Oberhaus castle... the large patio overlooks the confluence of the Donau and Ilz - what a perfect setting to enjoy a large mug of the delicious Bavarian Heffeweise (wheat beer) - my son - only 15 - was jealous he did not get to enjoy a brew with his 18 year old cousin! The pretzels did look tempting. The service is table service only - large signs on the outdoor bar to the effect "Take-away Verboten" - but table service was quick and friendly - after our beers we were fortified to make the steep climb up to the castle - but it would be very easy to while away a sunny and pleasant afternoon quaffing multiple brews in this beer garden!"

"wir waren heute spontan und zufällig dort und ich muss sagen dass dies die seit mindestens 1 Jahr beste Pizza war. Speziell die Dinkelpizza( kleiner Aufpreis von ca. 1.80€ absolut gefechtfertigt) war genauso wie ich mir eine Pizza vorstelle. saftig und knusprig zugleich mit hochwertigem Belag. Die Lasagne super saftig und durch und durch heiss und g'schmackig. Das Service entspannt und angepasst an das Clientell. Chilli und Knoblauöl am Tisch ( könnte noch schärfer sein für meinen Geschmack) seh gut. Aperol gut gemischt. Wir kommen wieder und empfehlen Sie weiter."

"The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a nice ambience for the one who likes Indian food, a very good choice I had a chilli dish, really well seasoned and everything freshly prepared Super! the services are very friendly and you don't have to wait too long for your meal the prices are also okay so you can really recommend this Indian restaurant but it's reasonable to reserve in advance, since the place is cozy small and the number of tables is not great in beautiful weather you can also sit outside, unfortunately a bit close to a busy road"

"Discovered the restaurant while driving around Passau looking for somewhere to park on an evening in August. Entry is down what appears to be a back alley with entrance to left and toilets to right. Indoor seating area, and outside area in back yard the latter being the most poular when we visited. While walking through the interior however beware of floor level changes./steps which are not very visible. Staff friendly, but not as efficient as they could be. Menus available in English as well as German but the daily specials are not shown in the English menus. Tomato soup starter was delicious, rick, thick and creamy full of flavour. Mains my seafood pasta was very good, prawns, calamari, mussels in a rich sauce. Other pasta dishes were also enjoyed, the only let down being the pasta in tomato sauce, which was too thick and tasted too much of concentrated tomato. Desserts were very good, particularly the chocolate mousse, 3 quenelles, with sauce and fruit on the side. Had to ask 4 times for the bill before it arrived, but when it did the price was very reasonable."

"Bis jetz war wirklich immer alles ausgezecnet im Kowalski! Der Service immer freundlich, die Burger immer gut. Das Kowalski liegt an einer Hauptstraße in direkter Nähe zum Inn. Den Lärm der Autos hört man drinnen nicht und draußen genießt man eine schöne Aussicht auf den Inn. Das Kowalski selbst macht schon etwas her, hinter der unscheinbaren Eingangstür steckt ein echt modern eingerichtetes Restaurant. Es heißt zwar Cafe und ja der Kaffee ist auch echt lecker, jedoch speißt man hier echt super. Die Speißekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Es gibt auch eine gute Auswahl an vegetarischen Speißen (selbst teilweise vegan), auch wenn der Fokus auf amerikanischer Küche liegt. Es gibt also hauptsächlich Burger, abeer auch eine gute Auswahl an Nudelgerichten, Salaten und co,, auch alles auf der Homepage nachzulesen. Die Preise gehen echt völlig in Ordnung, im Gegensatz zum Max+Muh sind hier im Preis die Pommes oder Wedges schon im Preis enthalten, der Preis selbst ist aber auch nicht teurer als dort zum Beispiel. Das Kowalski hat auch eine eigene Bar und somit neben den nicht-alkoholischen Getränken auch eine breite Auswahl an Cocktails und alkoholischen Getränken. Man kann also auch längere Abende hier gut überstehen. Das Personal war bisher immer freundlich. Also rundum zufrieden."

"We recently went on a Viking Danube river cruise. On a stop in Passau, we asked our guide for a recommendation for lunch in the Old Town. She recommended this restaurant and we are glad she did. They had a great variety of German dishes and also great salads that would work for my wife who has to eat gluten-free. The portions were large (could probably be shared if you are not a big eater) and the beer was good! They do not take credit cards, though, so have your Euros ready."

"Gelockt durch die guten Bewertungen entschlossen wir uns diesem Italiener einen Besuch abzustatten. Wir bestellten jeweils eine Pizza und waren leider sehr enttäuscht. Der Teigboden ist offensichtlich nicht frisch sondern Fertigware. Form, Geschmack und Konsistenz lassen eindeutig darauf schließen. Bei einer Pizza die 13€ kostet, kann man definitiv mehr erwarten. Möglicherweise muss man in diesem Restaurant andere Gerichte bestellen."

"5 stars and this without hesitation! A few months ago I discovered this restaurant for me and I am thrilled every time again. The services are friendly and nice. The food is fresh and it should be one of the best addresses in Passau when it comes to Asian food. The buffet is very delicious and is refilled regularly. The sushi is excellent and recently I have discovered PHO (vietnamese soup with beef or chicken meat) for me ideal for autumn/winter season. How to eat delicious again :D"

"If you're looking for an attractive place with good looking food attractively displayed AND you want to be treated like dirt, this could be the spot for you. We're now in the second month of trip that has taken us from Holland to Germany, to Hungary and finally to our own home away from home in Italy. Along the way we've eaten in dozens of restaurants from hole in the wall places to white tablecloth fine dining. We went to this one after listening to a glorious organ concert in St. Stephan's Cathedral just across the Domplatz. We arrived filled with joy. After half an hour here, we stomped out furious. The young woman who was the cashier/receptionist treated us like we were beneath her and like we were pushy, intrusive ignoramuses. It wasn't a matter of a language barrier; I am extremely fluent in German. Her manner was just plain nasty. I'm sorry if she was having a bad day, but neither of us appreciated her taking it out on us and paying to do so. A second young woman who actually waited on our table was only marginally a little more helpful and also seemed like she was doing us a great favor to take care of us. Of all the restaurants, bistros, cafes, inns, hotel dining rooms and other places we've experienced on our lengthy trip, this is the only one we'd never consider returning to. Maybe there was a full moon and werewolves were abroad and biting."

"We had enough of German food, so we decided to do Italian for a change. Il Monastero was close to our hotel and had a 4 1/2 star rating in Trip Advisor so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. This is the real deal. The restaurant is run by an Italian family that has brought their family recipes to Germany. We started with the boiled octopus in olive oil and lemon. It was cooked perfectly and so soft, it almost melted in your mouth. Followed by the pasta de la casa (spaghetti with veal in a light cream/tomato sauce and the spaghetti al mare. The pasta was al dente as one would expect and the sauces were perfect. The sea food in the al mare was, of course not what you would get in Sicily or in a coastal Italian town, but they had some fresh mussels, shrimp and fresh vongole in it which was pretty good for a small German town. The open house wine was very reasonable and light enough to go well with the meal. Service was mostly done by the son of the family and very friendly and efficient. The owner/chef came out personally to make sure we were happy with the meal. The restaurant is located in a typical old building with walls 4 feet thick, so the temperature was pleasant inside even on a hot day. There is limited outside seating as well. Recommended without reservation."

"Due to a huge downpour we sought shelter and an early dinner at the Altstadt Beisl. Not knowing anything about it, we were taken by the friendly welcome by the lady owner and the down to earth, very reasonable and tasty food that was served with a very nice glass of beer and good cheer.After the meal we thought that we could still just fit in one of the lovely cakes on display. And what an experience that was. A warm Mohnkuchen with ice cream and Schlagsahne arrived. Had we only known, we would have ordered two. We savoured every little morsel. Homemade by the lady owner as we found out later. The best Mohnkuchen we ever had. And we had plenty of cakes on our travels through Austria."
