"Turned up at opening time today without booking a table, we saw a member of staff who gave us the option to either sit inside or outside in the lovely garden. The weather being so wonderful we decided to stay in the garden. After a few moments another member of the team came and gave us a menu and took our drink order, at this point I must mention how attentive and friendly every member of the team at the Thimble Inn are. I ordered the ham eggs and triple cooked chips and my fiancee had the fish and chips we also shared a portion of onion rings. My meal was superb lean tasty hand carved ham with an excellent pineapple chutney, and possibly the best chips ever. The fish was a lovely size and cooked perfectly we both demolished the onion rings with again was a great portion. Definitely will be returning soon. Oh and almost forgot a great pint of IPA."
