"I visited The Red Lion with family (Grandmother, aunts, uncles, brother) for casual drinks on a Saturday night. We arrived after 8pm. This bar/restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We found a table to accommodate all 8 of us. It felt like a real homely place. The staff were friendly or so I thought... It came to about 9:30pm when I decided to get the next round of drinks for my grandmother and brother. I asked my brother to come to the bar with me to help. We are close in age. We got to the bar and asked for our drinks. Immediately, the man who served us seemed to be in a poor mood. He just looked at us and said One drink per person . To me, this did not make any sense at all. Why turn down someone who wants to order a round of drinks? This man, who I believe goes by the name of Thomas also asked us both to show our ID. I can understand this, as I am 21 years old. My brother is 20 years old. That was no problem. The problem was only being allowed to order one drink per person. Would I really need to get my grandmother to come and present her identification also? Because of all this, I was only able to purchase a drink for my brother and I, as we both presented our age ID cards. My brother then decided to try asking him for another drink (for my grandmother). The barman immediately said One drink per person again. My brother said But I am paying for this one . The barman told the lady next to him to serve my brother the drink. I found the barman 's attitude towards us to be despicable. It really did put an upset on our night. My family could not believe that this man would only serve one drink per person, even though I presented my ID to prove that I am legally allowed to purchase and consume alcohol. Apart from the horrible service from that person (Thomas), the other staff were very friendly towards us. But it is safe to say that myself, and my other family members will not be returning to The Red Lion, Radlett anytime soon."
