"I know I wrote a review just a couple of months ago, and it's not often I rave about a place but Don Camillo is really worth it...not that it looks like they need the extra advertising. They have a winning formula starting with great service, great food and wonderful atmosphere and importantly its' consistent. We've been a half dozen times now and always the same - staff are run off their feet but have time for you all the same. The food is great value with well prepared Italian dishes and none of what I'd call the bog standard low end Italian fare you so often see.Don Camillo is a bit out of the way from town centre ( not far from the train station though) but it's a testament to the quality of the establishment that it's always full, at least when we have been anyway. My advice.... for a great night out and all round good value you'd be hard pressed to do better than Don Camillo."

"Nous avons eu un bon accueil et de la place en terrasse, qui est très agréable.Le menu était bien, sauf l'entrée : j'ai choisi une salade, je ne sais plus laquelle, mais il y avait de la quantité (beaucoup de salade verte), mais aucun intérêt au niveau de la qualité. A part la sauce vinaigrette qui était très bonne et qui change des sauces insipides que l'on a habituellement avec les salades composées.Sinon le reste du menu était bien : le plat et le dessert. Et un bonus pour le thé : enfin un restaurant qui sert du vrai thé et pas des sachets que l'on trouve bon marché en grande surface : très agréablement surprise.Au final bien, mais j'ai été déçu par l'entrée et vu le prix du menu, je m'attendais à mieux. Mais à tester quand même."

"We went there after one relative heard the place being recommended on the radio by a restaurant reviewer, especially for the Risotto. A look at the web-site arouse our appetite and set expectations. Off we go.Restaurant is well-located in the center, there is a covered parking at 3min walk very convenient. And right after the meal, you can visit the nice church or walk the pedestrian street to stimulate digestion. Very nice welcoming. The interior is as cosy as the web-site gave the impression. Open cuisine is in the back and you can see and hear the Italian chef and cooks work.Now for the food.Let's start with the kids, served first as logic asks. They had a fantastic veal melting in the mouth with tasty vegetables (carots, leek...). we ask for 1 portion of pasta for 2 kids. I also tried and they were also delicious.For the adults. As I love this Italian meal I took the risotto with ris-de-veau (sweetbread?). Delicious risotto even if I would have like the ris-de-veau sligtly less cooked. My 2 relatives had the risotto with saffran, curry, grapefruit and sea scallops. I also tried, very tasty but this time, I found the scallops sligthly undercooked.I then took again a dish with whole ris-de-veau with almonds on fresh spinach. Perfect. Desserts were also authentic and delicious. The ice-cream was a real smooth, full of aroma Italian ice-cream. I had the panettone with ice-cream. Try the "mille feuilles" chocolat. Not what you will expect but extremely good. To end, a coffee like only Italians can do.So an excellent meal of top level Italian cuisine. Sad, a bit far from our place. But it is worth travelling to enjoy it."

"As we are moored in the Port and enjoy Thursday evening boaters drinks we decide to book a table for Sunday lunch. The weather is favourable so we sit outside with lovely views of the port, boats and surrounding area. The menu consists of three choices per course and I enjoy a well presented and tasty goats cheese salad whilst my husband had salad gourmand with three different meats. We both chose the Fish with a tasty sauce and veg. Knowing that I don’t eat meat the bacon around the beans was substituted with carrot. To finish I enjoyed profiteroles whilst hubby had ice cream and then coffees. The waitress spoke good English was friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend"

"I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. I couldn't believe le plat du jour was only 8 euros and the place was packed. I was by myself and it was so busy I was reluctant to go in, but it was either that or starve, as places were starting to close. OMG I was shocked at how good it was for the price. I would have eaten there everyday if had been staying longer. Both servers were super sweet and patient with my French. I would go back in a heart beat and wish they had been open for dinner. Very impressed."

"Ca commence par une salade de bienvenue sortant du sachet tout comme sa vinaigrette...De la viande qui a eu le malheur de finir là, ne méritant pas de terminer sur un soi disant grill qui n est en fait qu un gros barbecue à gaz, et qui cuit donc sur les flammes sans que cela n étonne personne ! Des sauces "maison" sortant des pots, et on termine avec des desserts congelés Tout ceci étant loin d être donné en plus!Bref: j ai mis 1 étoile car il n y a pas de risque sanitaire, et aussi parce que l on pzut pas mettre moins: mais par pitié passez votre chemin et cherchez ailleurs, mieux vaut dans ce cas se limiter à un sandwich de boulangerie et se reserver pour une vraie bonne table une autre fois!"

"Samedi midi. L'établissement offre une petite salle en bas avec cuisine ouverte, une salle à l'étage avec une cinquantaine de couverts et une terrasse sur la place du marché, très sympa avec des brocanteurs, à deux pas du centre ville, bien au calme. Tarifs très accessible et plusieurs bières non banales à la pression. Salades copieuses. Bavette goûteuses et pâtes fraiches. Service sympathique. Toilettes propres à l'étage. Déco moderne. Un bon plan pour le midi. Pour les frites, il y a un axe de progression."
