"No prices outside was a red flag so we asked to see a priced menu before we committed to a table. Prices were perfectly reasonable so not sure why they’re not promoted? Maybe they think it’s a point of difference? Somewhat weird. The pizza was too thin more like a tortilla in truth and short on toppings. If you just live cheese this is probably the place for you but meat, seafood and vegetables, even onions and peppers are in short supply. The pasta dish was huge but only lukewarm had clearly been transferred to the rustic casserole after cooking and the dish was cold. The sauce was okay, but the tomato element sweet and synthetic tasting. House wine was nice and priced right. Would we return? Not a chance. This is chain food dressed up to seem better. The location is lovely but better to add a few Euros more and eat next door."

"El Rey De La Pampa Sol Y Luna Dined as a couple 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th September 2018 El Rey De La Pampa and Sol Y Luna look like 2 different restaurants, but the have become a fusion, and are both the same restaurant with food coming out of the same kitchen for both. Roses as a Spanish resort is really geared for the French. Unlike the rest of Spain, being English makes communication quite difficult. Although this restaurant did have an English section on the menu, the descriptions were very vague. Choosing food is not easy when your wife has dairy allergy. The menus gave no hint to ingredients. But the waiters and management, went out of their way to help choose the right food, even though they spoke hardly any English, and we no Spanish. All in all, food was very good. The restaurant had a nice relaxing feel to it. If the management read this, they will still be laughing over us trying to order crepes with lemon and sugar. Complete mis-understanding but hilarious at the time."

"Went to el grill 3 times in the 4 nights we stayed in roses which is not like us as we like to try new eaterys but this was so good we kept going back We sampled tapas dishes with a large meat salad 1 night Steak and chips another night And tried a juicy burger another night Great front location and friendly english speaking staff"

"Whenever I write a review I try to be positive. Here goes: the tapas were fine but did not arrive together.20 minutes between first and last arriving. Ditto the drinks. We ordered four magret de canard and only three arrived. The fourth had not been cooked! Paella for two was not fresh, contained hardly any seafood and the pork was just bones. It was oversalted and inedible. We explained to the waiter who just ignored us. Another waiter did agree to replace it and as the duck looked okay we plumped for that to share. The meat was good but the accompaniments were overcooked and dry. Needless to say we.left them. Whilst all this was going on several of the waiters deliberately avoided our table and were rude and unhelpful. There were six of us at the table and we were unable to eat at the same time. Hugely disappointing as our friends had travelled from France for the day. At no time was an apology offered. When the bill arrived it was accompanied by four.small shots of lemon liqueur... I imagine a peace offering. Our party consisted.of three adults and three seventeen year olds. Four of us speak Spanish and French so lack of communication can not be an excuse. My advice would be to seek out a more welcoming restaurant and to La Cal Margarita...employ staff who know their job."

"wonderful. We ate wonderfully, all fresh, with good moments to enjoy the food without haste to cool something. amazing. The shrimp for me has been the star dish. super sweet knives. the mussels with a good spicy point. have the option of clamps for crustaceans. The blood was very good. The only drawback could have been the waiter, but I think it was new. It was difficult for him to stay with some things and talk with a lot of demotivation. On the contrary, I was very attentive to the time of collecting empty dishes, glasses, etc. On a couple of occasions a companion or superior came with him to advise us when we eat and it was a wonderful attention on his part. We will return without hesitation."

"We made a reservation for 21:30. The person on the phone told me that it would be more convenient for them if we could arrive at 20:30. So we did. However we only discover once we were there that the reason was that they wanted to give our table to someone else at 22:00. We were 9 people arriving between 20:20 and 21:00, we ordered food at 21:10 and received it at 21:40. In the meantime, we have been stressed by the waitress 4-5 times about the time. Finally 21:55 someone informed us that we could keep our table... a bit late to relax... The location is great, with nice music and view. I enjoyed the Curry, when friends were more sceptical about their burgers. Major negative point was the service. It was terrible. We felt that we were just disturbing the waitress every time we ordered a drink. Her attitude and way of talking to us was execrable and highly disrespectful."

"all rich, well cooked and fast, being paella and mariscada depescado and seafood receives antonio and lets us get the first joke, we tell him that we eat a lot if it is good and that we are hungry. "Interesante opción a un precio asequible para una estancia en el centro de Roses con todo lo imaginable al alcance de unos pocos pasos y unas vistas impagables. Instalaciones renovadas aunque con ciertas incidencias que considero destacables. La televisión es DTV y pixela cada dos por tres, por lo que la experiència con la TV puede llegar a ser exasperante. Aire acondicionado bien situado aunque la directividad no es ajustable. Camas bastante cómodas. He leído comentarios acerca del ruido, pues en nuestro caso hemos descansado óptimamente sin molestias, aparte de los ruidos normales que pueden existir pero que para nada implican una distorsión en la calidad de la estancia. Puerta del WC insufrible, el pomo hace un ruido molesto del cual adjunto video y carece de escobilla en el inodoro (incomprensible). Ducha perfecta. La habitación en si misma, decorada con gusto y muy practica. Del restaurante no opino dado que no lo hemos probado pero comentan que los platos están excepcionalmente elaborados aunque el precio se sitúa en la banda alta de gasto. Servicio atento y las operadoras de la limpieza de las habitaciones tienen un trato muy amable y respetuoso, cosa que es de agradecer."

"A very known (and non turistic) restaurant in Roses. Very good dishes. Provided with very good fishes and meats, this familiar place will offer you a very balanced meals. Good service. Good wines. Prices are amazing and it has the best situation in Roses (closed to town hall), in front of the sea with an spectacular terrace. Congrats. We will come back !!!!"

"In a very busy and hot Roses, As a party of four, we decided to search the back streets for a restaurant in the shade. Taberna del Mar was busy but had a table free. Not wanting fish or paella, I opted for goats cheese salad to start and chicken escalope for main. The goats cheese salad was delicious and couldn’t be faulted however when I had eaten a quarter of my escalope to my horror I discovered it was raw. I told the waiter who told me it was very good quality chicken and he would fry it again for me. I told him even if it was good quality you can’t eat RAW chicken and I did not want anything else. He agreed to take the cost of the meal off the final bill. All in all a terrible lunchtime experience, the sauces to accompany my fellow diners meals were not served, the accompaniments of chips were the tiniest portions and the service was inattentive and slow. Would definitely not return or recommend."

"It has a lot of us! the very nice and cozy place, although perhaps too many paintings for when it is full of everything. because if you keep doing this, you will fill it soon. has the view of the kitchen and it is very interesting to see how they prepare the final touches of the dish. the letter is very suitable, not long or short, and there is a little of everything. The croquettes are amazing! crispy on the outside and melose and very tasty inside. the steak pier in **** mary is very good! and the lemonade pear dessert is amazing and delicious! the price very suitable. We'll be back soon and if you're around the area and I'd drop you to try a different place, this is the place."

"Veamos, complicado de valorar y definir, pongo un 5 de ambiente porque se ve un restaurante bien ambientado, rustico y acogedor, bien atendidos, pero el local no corresponde a la comida que te ofrecen, esperabamos una comida tradicional catalana o mediterranea y nos encontramos con platos muy americanados preparados para turistas. No espero respuesta de la propiedad, ya leido unos cuantas, y creo que no procede."

"Comimos al mediodía el menú de Migdia, una paella que está muy buena, el ambiente muy agradable y buen servicio, fue en el mes de Agosto y los precios similares a los del resto de restaurantes de la zona el menú 16,90 sin bebidas, otro día repetimos con un menú formula tapas, 32 euros dos personas todo estaba muy bueno y bien cocinados, el plato que menos nos gustó fue el de Jamón, pues era de Jamón Serrano, quizás sería bueno poner un jamón Iberico al menos del 50%, pues el jamón desmerecio el resto de platos, de todos modos el trato fue muy agradable y ambiente cómodo y sin prisas, muy bien atendidos.."

"Pizzas para llevar. El personal es muy amable, pregunté que era la crema de café y me dieron a probar y por cierto, estaba riquísima!!! Volveremos para comprarla. La relación calidad- precio es buena, son pizzas baratas y de un buen tamaño. Masa fina e ingredientes con mucho sabor, además hay una gran variedad. También tienes la posibilidad de comprar refrescos allí mismo. Mi marido y y yo cogimos unas pizzas para tomar en la terraza del hotel y fue un planazo y muy barato!! Lo recomiendo."
