"St Ceneri is a small village close to Alençon. It has beautiful gardens, churches and the river Sarthe flows sleepily around the town. La Taverne Giroise is located in the heart of St Ceneri and has both a front terrace and garden area, from which...you can sit and observe while enjoying great coffee, refreshments, ice-creams and light lunches. The homemade cakes and pastries are truly some of the best I have ever tasted. Jennifer and Anthony are very hospitable and make this one of the highlights of a day in the village. With Scottish roots they also offer a wide selection of whiskies and beers and are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the town. Much recommended, I look forward to seeing you both again soon. The cafe is open between 8am to 6:30pm, Saturday to Wednesday."
