"Been through the bad reviews and never experienced any of the problems that have been said. (I’ve collected every time) food always cooked to perfection/hot and staff really friendly. It’s become my usual spot for a pizza, can’t see myself having to go anywhere else, decent prices on the food also."

"We went as a family to celebrate my husbands birthday just before lock down was imposed. I ordered the mushrooms in garlic sauce which were awful. The sauce tasted of raw flour. We had to ask for my husbands starter as it wasn't brought out. After everyone had finished the stater the waitress came for the second time to check the order for our mains. They hadn't even started cooking them. I ordered the fish and chips as the belly pork I really fancied was off the menu. The chips were huge wedges, not chips and were not properly cooked. The fish was very greasy. The dessert menu left a lot to be desired only having a selection of stodgy typical English puddings. We have eaten here before over gge course of four or five years and the food has, always been gourmet standard. I don't know if there has been a change in ownership in recent times but I won't be going back unless the food improves drastically. And no I didn't complain at the time as my in-laws were paying and I didn't want to spoil their treat or embarrass them. To sum up, I could have done much better at home and the senior waitress who kept double-checking the order that our waitress had taken didn't inspire much confidence. They really need to up their game."

"I use this chippy all the time. I live literally round the corner from the golden phoenix. I am disabled the first time I used their delivery I felt embarrassed to be ordering from round the corner, the minute I told them I was disabled she said its no problem. I could literally go out of my back gate to the chippy at the back of me. I just can't tell you how nice the food is from golden phoenix. It is just delicious. I have ordered lots of different food it is always delicious. The delivery is fab too. Love the lady and young boy that deliver. Food is always hot. If they are busy she always says how long I will have to wait for my food. Two Chinese chippy's on my door step. I will always always choose the golden phoenix over good luck chippy."

"I have been going to this place since it first opened. It is centrally placed and with a relaxed atmosphere. It apparently now has new owners who are doing away with serving the tea and coffee in proper cups and are now using paper ones as a way of doing further environmental harm as well as asserting their right to deteriorate the quality of the customer experience. I won’t be returning again. Why is it so difficult for these cafe owners to understand the basics of customer requirements?"

"When we 1st arrived and saw the menu, we were worried they had scaled down and it would not be as good as we remembered. We needn’t have worried. We had poppadoms , then starters I had lamb chops, beautiful , big and tender. Julie had butter chicken starter delicious and fresh. Main course Julie had lamb Karai beautifully tender again. My chicken naga, did exactly what the menu stated very hot curry. All the food was hot and fresh, served on superb plates individually dressed by the kitchen. What a great meal, staff were perfect, even catering for a 15 minute break between courses and the cobra beer was pretty good as well. All in all fantastic"

"If you're looking for a unique dining experience with beautiful views and family-friendly facilities, then the Hartshead Inn is the place for you. Located atop the hills overlooking Manchester, this restaurant offers panoramic views and is situated next to the famous landmark, Hartshead Pike. On a warm summer day, this is the perfect spot in Manchester to enjoy some peace and quiet along with delicious food and beverages. You can opt for a special coffee or soft drink if you're not in the mood for alcohol, and dine outside while taking in the serene surroundings. My personal favorite is the Caesar Salad paired with a glass of Rose wine – a refreshing and satisfying combination. Check out their website for more menu options and early bird specials. Give it a try – you won't be disappointed!"

"Please don't believe the comment about awful food from a couple of years ago the food is perfectly palatable when you can get it! We have been customers of Happy Family for years and they are a good friendly local business which serves...good wholesome food OK it isn't cordon bleu or ethnic chinese, but it's good, well prepared, there is a varied menu and its priced at much the same level as it's competitors in the area. My only beef is that it shuts so early that the age old custom of stopping off for a chippy or a chinese after a night out is no longer available. The fried chicken businesses is the area still find it profitable to stay open but it appears that they have driven all the conventional late night eateries out of business!"
